army of shadow is litterally trhe concept of the manhwa and unfortunately in sla the shadow army is almost useless in terms of damages and help in content (the only useful thing is the lead buff) so improving the shadow army with weapons or more attack and duration on the battlefield could be great in my opinion (sorry if my english isnt great i am a french student, but i hope u understand my idea)
Im fine with it not being super op, i'd rather most of the damage come from my character. They still have a great presence in the battle field and make you feel cool

sadly, this is a netmarble game. They always care at the start. Sooner or later they would just care for people who pay or for the new comers. (Played every netmarble game cause they are good and all of them went the same way)
The story mode CP requirements are a limit for me right now. I have the damage to clear chapter 18. But because level requirement is so high I'm simply time gated. I have to wait until I'm high enough level to do content that I am already strong enough for

Nah, unfortunately its just a way to fool people that haven't played netmarble games, they will keep listening and doing very minor changes until we are close to the one year anni, where they have already sucked money out of people and already dropped 2-3 new games that have already started making fresh doughhhh. Though I have better hopes for SLA since our community is large and it's a very popular and demanding IP atm.
The red penalty is something already existing in other similar game so although it would be nice, it’s not a deal breaker for me personally. I hope we have more access to artifact enhancing material. When selling artifacts, give us the option to sell it either with gold or enhancement material. Also as an F2P and being further into the game essence stone are just really hard to get. Battlefield of time reward is non existent. Apart from the weekly rewards.
As a mobile player, 2 main issues I want addressed are the camera and I NEED a button to change targets these two issues on mobile make some fights more complicated then they should be... like the fight with the two orcs that have to die at almost the same time or the mage boss that summons minions that makes your camera snap to them and forces you to lose track if the boss, ffs these are time attacks and I regularly lose 5-10 seconds just sorting the camera out.
I don’t mind much about skipping dungeons cause the 50% bones makes them that easy however the difficulty of story mode is gradually becoming less global friendly I’m LV 73 with around 300k power yet I’m stuck on ch 17 last mission cause the time isn’t enough especially with three bosses randomly tossed at me.
"challenging and rewarding" might be the key to these improvements. hopefully they'll be giving us more opportunities to farm items on instance dungeons and encore mission for example. i only have 6 keys per day, so 3 battles wont be enough for farming artifacts esp. when they gave shitty stats on those items then i have to wait another day to replenish those keys. Also, more rewards for the gates(sum all the rewards either red gate, dungeon break, or normal gate). Nice take on these by the devs!
6:15 on the skipping part, if they want to keep the option there, maybe they should have full rewards for 8 skips a day and then slightly lower rewards for additional skips. That way there's still some incentive to play.
basically solo leveling known for its "shadow content" which is unique but in this game i cant see any content regarding to shadow. they should make a shadow content or a story play as a shadow can equip artifact and mostly can equip weapon avarice for tusk and longsword for igris and expand a more shadow content for this game also they should make a each story each hunter for more rewards and exploration
Regardless of how they are trying to fix the problems we bring up as a community just the fact that the dev team is openly working with the community is great for the future of the game
I personally think Shadows should be stronger than the hunters specially igris, this guy should be a killing machine sadly he's just there for the sake of being there
The problem with artifacts is its already limited 6x a day(8if if u bought using mana stone) and u cant choose the artifact set that u can get, not even complaining about the substats.. in other games u can choose a domain that have a specific set that u want. In that way your only problem is substats rng and what piece of the set it is lmao

I put increased rewards for every game mode. Only 1-5 reward units for completing gates especially A and S rank gates. 2 shadow traces for a reward is ridiculous.
Wish they talked about updates being made to certain bosses. The poison from Purple Camulla and the triple breath attack from Cerberus during his end phase both need a serious debuff. And bears still have too much HP, they either need a reduction or a break gauge installed. Thanks for vid Payne
if they get rid of time limit in some challenges would be great cause sometimes i can easily kill the boss without taking a lot of damage but the boss hp is too hight that i cant kill it with the given time or just decrease the boss hp
I def agree with the story mode. I still havent beaten chapter 18 because I dont have enough good break skill runes and I dont have the light element gun. I always run out of time.
we also have a new problem; salvage event whereas you gotta enhance the artifacts above +0 to salvage which cost lots of golds and materials, especially for f2p and new players. The returning reward for salvaging artifacts also aren't compensate either too tbh.
also they should get rid of the time limit so you could still chip the higher cp power stories little by little even tho you're low on tp so you can challenge yourself how much you can last a fight against strong opponents, just like sung jin woo in actual manga

They plan to make the game easier they say, but actually they just made the game harder with this patch. Gamebreaking bugs and other garbage. Battlefield of Chaos stage bosses changed, previously I could clear Stage 7 easily, now I can't even get close. SJW ulti is bugged, animation delayed and does less dmg than it's supposed to. The new game mode, I cant even beat F25 in it which is just ridiculous and I am level 75. This game is becoming more and more p2w
Would be a great Idea if you, natto, and other people in the community you might interact with made a series of videos and google doc sheets of updates that should be made to hunters (example: SM Baek needed lifesteal) so that the lower tier hunters on your lists can be used more often and with greater frequency. Should also make a list of things they should change with the available content so that way we can all submit surveys and have those changes be heard. We can hopefully attach your videos to their media pages with all the data and research you've gathered too to make those changes on their end much more smoother.
I want SRs to be more useful than only a select handful. If they are in the game, the should have some kind of use, but not so much that they outshine SSRs. That way they don't have to power creep extremely hard (NGL Meilin is a huge letdown even with my Alicia still prefer Nam/Min/Alicia combo so its more of a sidegrade).
My only major issue with the game is the loading screens. still....It's better than it was, but i still dont understand how, a month after global release and 2+ after testing started with Canada, how the game still has to pop up the little spinning "hold on a second" wheel so often. Sure, the game looks good. but good enough to need to make me hold-up-a-minute every time i go in a menu or load into the hub area? No, not even close. It's not even open world or anything, i have NEVER seen another gacha game do this, and continue to do it for so long. and yes, ive tried lowering my settings, raising them, general tweaking, doesn't matter, it does it just as much on low settings 1080p as it does maxed settings 4k. Both my phone and pc are more than powerful enough that it should run like butter, but it still does it on both. That is my major issue, and frankly, every time I see patch notes and this isn't addressed, i get a little bit closer to quitting
The thing is also, we all know they made the game to get money it's business, and I feel they will lose a lot by not changing things or giving more stuff, well that's a bad idea, cause the better the game for f2p, the more you are willing to spend, I mean the more you gonna lean to spend more or less, even I never spent to much or not at all on any game I love this genre, SL is damn epic story and content, so I got no issue to spend some money for the game, but only if it's worth, now Im impressed af that they listened, which rly rarely happens in gaming industry. Totally amazed by that one!
Alot of these changes seem good. I've been playing less and less due to not enough time to put in it and the gate mining is a issue for me bc I can't check it every hour or so to mine different gates and they have a time they have to be mined in or you loose them. As I have said I'm casual and don't have alot of time to put in this so I'm not gonna spend money for the auto mining. I'd be fine if I didn't loose gates ive beaten.
no substat reroll or any meagnfull changes like sweeps and stuff, I really don't understand the overhype. it's like you said before they make a problem and then say we will fix it just to shift our attention from real issues!!!
The hype for the game, should be like in manhwa. the fun and hype should keep on increasing. but in the game, the thrill is only at start, after you reach level 50+ threshold hype decrease. also should be more reward or stats when sunjin woo level up. again and again, he keeps getting strong after leveling up. what is the sense if focus on artifacts. for god sake, it names "SOLO LEVELING". it should display the hunters game skill and creativity.
Great video and the news are all great but the biggest issue is the loading screens in every menu (if I'm lucky I only get it going back to the main area) It's pretty much unplayable, I went from being a daily player to maybe 3 times a week just for log in rewards and some gates here and then. Kinda hard to be excited for all the changes and new things without the game even running properly.

As a new player, and recent at that, I can definitely posit the notion that the grind in relation to the gain is not friendly to the player. "150k" is basically the true start to the game, let alone 70k Sung. But to even get gem system unlocked requires mad RNG, and then the gem stages are even tougher than the boss fight to GET the gem system. Further, weapon upgrade mats are dripfed, where artifact mats stage 1 are abundant compared. It's fine if they want a LONG game. But this is not the kind of long game you should want. If players can't even achieve the actual veritable "start" to the game, why would they continue.
I’m p2w and I’m still struggling with artifact enhancements materials and gold this and not having and option to reroll stats or grind a specific type of artifact is literally my only problems
finally they start doing something. hope they will improve events as well, cause they are suck! and hope they will give us more rewards for clearing story chapters and will give some compensation for those who cleared it already
I'm hoping they make a way to change main or sub stats for items. I've been farming spider since like day 2 since I got cha up to 5*. I have yet to get a toughness hat with atk%. Not an atk% with good substats, a singular atk% hat. Im level 75 and was doing minimum 8 keys a day for a month until alicia came out and i could farm cerberus easily. I also dont have good toughness cd boots, im using def% and def pen on cha and jinwoo
their is a reason they shouted you out. they heard payne lol. but jokes aside this game is grreat i play it everyday but their are issues that drive people insane and for a company to acknowledge it is just amazing.
ngl what i hate the most is the stats i have leveled up is the stats everything just goes to dmg and the other stats are basicaly nonexistant inteligence useless i have 100 more cooldown reduction than my friend and we basicaly have the same timer to put out weapons skills also it will help with the diversity of the character to explore more playstyles with him balanced full dmg defense focused strong agility
NGL 3:50 is EXACLTY what i always thought. I hate it so much. Edit: So i think it would be good put all together in the gates as you mention however i think it would be good if a red gate would give better rewards as it is way more difficult as other gates. I think they do overall a really good job addressing issues. Edit 2: I think one of the biggest issues (at least for me) is the performance of the steel-fanged lycan. For real, this one is hella laggy EVEN while using Lossless Scaling (which improves my performance A LOT, ngl). That is something they need to fix asap as it is super annoying to farm them.
What is lossless scaling? I lag a lot as well, I can’t even start the Cerberus vulcan raid due to the lag it creates. Anytime I call my shadows out the game has like a 50/50 chance of crashing it feels like
they shoud also remove the timer in missions its pressuring you so much sometimes you got health but no time left and you lose i dont even get that why we should speed run every mission
To be honest is annoying for us f2p barely manage get 260k power, so hard the latest endgame content and you get stats was healing increase and defence. When only healer on this game was 2 character.

Am I the only one missing "Arise" line when Im summoning shadows ? Like that would be cool to hear that during the summoning. It is not that important in terms of gameplay but these small things will make game even better.
They should make something like when artifact enhancement fails it only takes gold and not enhancement chip and why was burning curse set and tusk nerfed from what they showed us burning curse was supposed to increase 80% attack now it's only 50%

I honestly dont see a problem with the artifacts. I see a lot of people who dont like that its all rng, but if it isnt then whats the point of doing the encore and instance dugeons.You would just get what you need and never touch them again. I think that by just adding a higher item drop, and make it possible to skip will be way better. Also, if they include more bosses to seperate some group of artifacts would be great because it would make hunting for a specific artifact much easier.
Unrelated to this expressly - where did that "roll 30 times and choose you want to keep" come from? That's a CLASSIC to these games for new players but I've yet to see it in my account
I really hope that someday other studio will develop a non gatcha game for Solo leveling. The idea is good but gatcha really destroy the fundamental aspect of the original story. On a side note, this game by far the most f2p friendly gacha game that I ever play so Netmabrle deserve the credit.
These improvements are a win of course but I would prefer if they would allocate some of their resources to optimise the game and not have my device overheat and my game crash after 2-3 battle stages. I think it would be way better if they make the game more playable for all devices first, and then improve little things like these on the video.
Didin't even know this survey was on. While you were reading that, I had the exact answer as you did. Remove the red penalty. The penalty you get if you have less total power the game wants you, is in my honest opinion is the worst thing this game has. No game I've played, has ever had this type of thing implemented in, and it frustrates the heck out of me every time I try to play a certain level or floor. I mean even in the manhwa, there was no penalty added to Sung, because it would make it a ridiculous of a story.
And yes, remove the level requirement. It does not let you enjoy a game if you don't get to play with your skills more openly, but instead have to be stronger, which the level requirements basically makes you. Heck, sometimes I'd like to play without any artifacts for the heck of it. But the penalty given - which quite frankly, I'm not even sure what it is - is holding me back. It's not explained in the tutorial on how much TP you need to get to out of the penalty range and it's not really explained on how much the penalty is either.
And about the artifacts.. Yes, remove the cost. I don't get why you'd need to use any type of resource to switch your artifacts, it seems dumb. Like what if you add it on CS, you pay 500 to switch weapons, doesn't sound right?
Tbf, the "red tp" penalty does exist in other game, just in a different form. I remember playing mmo that if you are like 10 level below the monster your attack will miss more frequent, or if your attack stats is below the recommeded you will barely do any damage etc...

I agree with everything said, Less time comsuming and more fun, and maybe i'd put more playtime into it, AT the moment it takes way too long to do any of the content, and then I see " 1 hour has elapse since you starting you have no life " and im like it really took that long?, Its good they are listening to the community ONLY if they are willing to do the changes to make it more enjoyable if not, off we go
They plan to make the game easier they say, but actually they just made the game harder with this patch. Gamebreaking bugs and other garbage. Battlefield of Chaos stage bosses changed, previously I could clear Stage 7 easily, now I can't even get close. SJW ulti is bugged, animation delayed and does less dmg than it's supposed to. The new game mode, I cant even beat F25 in it which is just ridiculous and I am level 75. This game is becoming more and more p2w

Would be a great Idea if you, natto, and other people in the community you might interact with made a series of videos and google doc sheets of updates that should be made to hunters (example: SM Baek needed lifesteal) so that the lower tier hunters on your lists can be used more often and with greater frequency. Should also make a list of things they should change with the available content so that way we can all submit surveys and have those changes be heard. We can hopefully attach your videos to their media pages with all the data and research you've gathered too to make those changes on their end much more smoother.
I want SRs to be more useful than only a select handful. If they are in the game, the should have some kind of use, but not so much that they outshine SSRs. That way they don't have to power creep extremely hard (NGL Meilin is a huge letdown even with my Alicia still prefer Nam/Min/Alicia combo so its more of a sidegrade).
Your thoughts on gates is actually good, the same rewards but different in quantity depending on what gate it is

My only major issue with the game is the loading screens. still....It's better than it was, but i still dont understand how, a month after global release and 2+ after testing started with Canada, how the game still has to pop up the little spinning "hold on a second" wheel so often. Sure, the game looks good. but good enough to need to make me hold-up-a-minute every time i go in a menu or load into the hub area? No, not even close. It's not even open world or anything, i have NEVER seen another gacha game do this, and continue to do it for so long. and yes, ive tried lowering my settings, raising them, general tweaking, doesn't matter, it does it just as much on low settings 1080p as it does maxed settings 4k. Both my phone and pc are more than powerful enough that it should run like butter, but it still does it on both. That is my major issue, and frankly, every time I see patch notes and this isn't addressed, i get a little bit closer to quitting
The CP for stages should be measured as your max plus 10% on norm and 25% on hard for challenge
The thing is also, we all know they made the game to get money it's business, and I feel they will lose a lot by not changing things or giving more stuff, well that's a bad idea, cause the better the game for f2p, the more you are willing to spend, I mean the more you gonna lean to spend more or less, even I never spent to much or not at all on any game
I love this genre, SL is damn epic story and content, so I got no issue to spend some money for the game, but only if it's worth, now Im impressed af that they listened, which rly rarely happens in gaming industry. Totally amazed by that one!

Alot of these changes seem good. I've been playing less and less due to not enough time to put in it and the gate mining is a issue for me bc I can't check it every hour or so to mine different gates and they have a time they have to be mined in or you loose them. As I have said I'm casual and don't have alot of time to put in this so I'm not gonna spend money for the auto mining. I'd be fine if I didn't loose gates ive beaten.

The hype for the game, should be like in manhwa. the fun and hype should keep on increasing.

also should be more reward or stats when sunjin woo level up. again and again, he keeps getting strong after leveling up. what is the sense if focus on artifacts. for god sake, it names "SOLO LEVELING".

Great video and the news are all great but the biggest issue is the loading screens in every menu (if I'm lucky I only get it going back to the main area)
It's pretty much unplayable, I went from being a daily player to maybe 3 times a week just for log in rewards and some gates here and then.
Kinda hard to be excited for all the changes and new things without the game even running properly.

Was hoping for a fix in the next update like some of the other stuff, or at the very least on why it's taking so long, it's been a day 1 issue.
As a new player, and recent at that, I can definitely posit the notion that the grind in relation to the gain is not friendly to the player. "150k" is basically the true start to the game, let alone 70k Sung. But to even get gem system unlocked requires mad RNG, and then the gem stages are even tougher than the boss fight to GET the gem system. Further, weapon upgrade mats are dripfed, where artifact mats stage 1 are abundant compared.
It's fine if they want a LONG game. But this is not the kind of long game you should want. If players can't even achieve the actual veritable "start" to the game, why would they continue.

I’m p2w and I’m still struggling with artifact enhancements materials and gold this and not having and option to reroll stats or grind a specific type of artifact is literally my only problems
finally they start doing something. hope they will improve events as well, cause they are suck! and hope they will give us more rewards for clearing story chapters and will give some compensation for those who cleared it already
I'm hoping they make a way to change main or sub stats for items. I've been farming spider since like day 2 since I got cha up to 5*. I have yet to get a toughness hat with atk%. Not an atk% with good substats, a singular atk% hat. Im level 75 and was doing minimum 8 keys a day for a month until alicia came out and i could farm cerberus easily. I also dont have good toughness cd boots, im using def% and def pen on cha and jinwoo

ngl what i hate the most is the stats i have leveled up is the stats everything just goes to dmg and the other stats are basicaly nonexistant inteligence useless i have 100 more cooldown reduction than my friend and we basicaly have the same timer to put out weapons skills also it will help with the diversity of the character to explore more playstyles with him balanced full dmg defense focused strong agility

So i think it would be good put all together in the gates as you mention however i think it would be good if a red gate would give better rewards as it is way more difficult as other gates.
I think they do overall a really good job addressing issues.

I think one of the biggest issues (at least for me) is the performance of the steel-fanged lycan.
For real, this one is hella laggy EVEN while using Lossless Scaling (which improves my performance A LOT, ngl).
That is something they need to fix asap as it is super annoying to farm them.

Am I the only one missing "Arise" line when Im summoning shadows ? Like that would be cool to hear that during the summoning. It is not that important in terms of gameplay but these small things will make game even better.

They should make something like when artifact enhancement fails it only takes gold and not enhancement chip and why was burning curse set and tusk nerfed from what they showed us burning curse was supposed to increase 80% attack now it's only 50%
I can understand taking away the level requirement but the red penalty is part of the lore.
Except there's nothing stating you get an output DEBUFF for that red penalty. The red "penalty" was only an notification that you were weaker.

most games give you a buff to help you if you are underpowered for a stage, to get a further penalty is just overkill and honestly feels insulting
I honestly dont see a problem with the artifacts. I see a lot of people who dont like that its all rng, but if it isnt then whats the point of doing the encore and instance dugeons.You would just get what you need and never touch them again.
I think that by just adding a higher item drop, and make it possible to skip will be way better. Also, if they include more bosses to seperate some group of artifacts would be great because it would make hunting for a specific artifact much easier.
Unrelated to this expressly - where did that "roll 30 times and choose you want to keep" come from? That's a CLASSIC to these games for new players but I've yet to see it in my account

The idea is good but gatcha really destroy the fundamental aspect of the original story.
On a side note, this game by far the most f2p friendly gacha game that I ever play so Netmabrle deserve the credit.

These improvements are a win of course but I would prefer if they would allocate some of their resources to optimise the game and not have my device overheat and my game crash after 2-3 battle stages. I think it would be way better if they make the game more playable for all devices first, and then improve little things like these on the video.

It'd be fine if the gain of strength happened more steadily. As it is, everything that gets you actual strength is gated by NEEDING strength.

Didin't even know this survey was on. While you were reading that, I had the exact answer as you did. Remove the red penalty. The penalty you get if you have less total power the game wants you, is in my honest opinion is the worst thing this game has. No game I've played, has ever had this type of thing implemented in, and it frustrates the heck out of me every time I try to play a certain level or floor. I mean even in the manhwa, there was no penalty added to Sung, because it would make it a ridiculous of a story.
And yes, remove the level requirement. It does not let you enjoy a game if you don't get to play with your skills more openly, but instead have to be stronger, which the level requirements basically makes you. Heck, sometimes I'd like to play without any artifacts for the heck of it. But the penalty given - which quite frankly, I'm not even sure what it is - is holding me back. It's not explained in the tutorial on how much TP you need to get to out of the penalty range and it's not really explained on how much the penalty is either.
And about the artifacts.. Yes, remove the cost. I don't get why you'd need to use any type of resource to switch your artifacts, it seems dumb. Like what if you add it on CS, you pay 500 to switch weapons, doesn't sound right?
Tbf, the "red tp" penalty does exist in other game, just in a different form. I remember playing mmo that if you are like 10 level below the monster your attack will miss more frequent, or if your attack stats is below the recommeded you will barely do any damage etc...
Just give us the Artifact Stats Re-roll!
