Teen Titans Go! get such a bad rep. It's honestly a delightful show if you go into it when you realize that the OG Teen Titans came back and better than ever with its spiritual successor, Young Justice. I am SO GLAD that the movie has been going over so well with people.
The show itself is fine. It's everything around it that's the problem. It being greenlit was the reason Young Justice got cancelled (or put on a 6 year hiatus) and Cartoon Network is basically Teen Titans Go Network now because it's the practically the only show they air these days
Den Hitashi TTG had nothing to do with YJ's cancellation. YJ was on the chopping block anyway because CN valued ratings (which were beginning to drop in season 2) and toy sales (which were borderline abysmal) over show quality. I'm sick of people unjustly blaming TTG for this.
ChidoriSnake and it, along with the rest of DC nation were on the chopping block because of the potential toy sales they saw in the popularity of New Teen Titans
The movie I tend to take flak for liking is the live action Rocky and Bullwinkle movie. The CG doesn't hold up, much like every other movie from 2000, but I think it perfectly captured the feel of the original show.
RandomBlackGamer i saw the movie last Sunday and I have a bag of popcorn and drink me a cup of soda at the movie theater and it have lot of humour in it
When you literally JUST walked out of the theater after seeing Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, turn on your phone, & you get THIS notification. AND you have the same opinion of the movie as Andre did!!!!😎😂👍
This movie was just “ok” to me...but then they mentioned “The Rainbow Raider” and I lost it! I just grabbed my friend and shook her while screaming in joy! Based on the looks I got, I was obviously the only one in the theatre who even knew that character existed.
Ttg has a game franchise called teeny titans on mobile devices and the second game has the rainbow raider in it. He can paint your figures and it's funny
Black Magician He’s probably the best voice actor too, because he can actually do other voices and characters and you don’t immediately know it’s him. Also note that he is pretty much the voice of Cyborg everywhere. I don’t know if anyone else has voiced the character since he took it over.
honestly my only gripe with TTG is the fact that it takes the majority of airtime on CartoonNetwork, and that's not the show's fault, it's whoever's running Cartoon Network
Glad to see someone who isn't clouded by the original show and can just judge it as a film. I love the og show but it seems like this film knows what it is. I'm glad you found it fun Andre. Looking forward to seeing it next week
Teen Titans was hilarious. They actually impressed me with the comedic storylines. They had jokes for the kids and the adults. From start to finish I was cracking up. To their credit they stayed in their zone. They don't take themselves or the Comicbook movie business too seriously. Stan Lee's cameo struck a blow to the goofy fanboy wars DC or Marvel who cares? Let's enjoy it while it lasts.
As someone who originally lividly hated the show (I’ve eased off a lot lately), I LOVED this movie. I was laughing pretty much the entire time. I can’t even really say why, but I really liked this movie. It was funny. I got invested. And that’s not what I expected with that movie XD. I, seriously really liked it. All of the meta and reference humor was great, and, I could feel for the characters. That’s not what I expected. Even the songs were okay to me. Like, catchy and stuff. I like it. Like, I found the action surprisingly good for TTG. Also, the animation was upgraded and that was nice to see. I was pleasantly surprised, and I enjoyed it. And I’m not ashamed to admit that.

But I have less criticism for this than I did for many other movies that've come out this year. It's my second favorite hero movie this year, right behind Incredibles 2.
I'm so glad you appreciated this movie, too! My sister got me into the show a year or so ago, although I was initially really skeptical about it like everyone else was. I'm so glad I gave it a chance, because it is stupid and goofy in the best, most sincere way. We went to see the movie two nights ago, and it did not disappoint :D I only wish BER had a cameo, though. "The Night Begins to Shine" episodes are definitely my favourites. This is definitely in my top 3 DC movies. CRACK AND EGG ON IT. CA-CAW!!
I saw this is theatres opening week. I honestly really like it. The humor got me a lot of the times, The writing was very clever at times, The moral (while common in lots of kids movies) was decent, and I was really impressed by the action scenes. This was a good movie. I would gladly see this movie again.
I absolutely love the Speed Racer movie. I just cannot see why it wasn't a bigger hit. I enjoyed the Teen Titans movie for what it was, because it was very awesome in many places.

The music was good lol, there was just a lot of it. My favorite scene is when Batman is chasing them in the golf kart and he eventually gets to getting piggybacked by Alfred.
does everyone just watch the original show? I feel like i'm the only who actually reads/read marv wolfman's run on the titans which is great especially the judas contract story arc, I recommend the new teen titans vol 1 in trade by marv wolfman and george perez (It's not new it was just called that back in the day because the original original titans was pretty much a failure ) in this you get the first appearance of cyborg, starfire and raven who were created for this series and you also get the first appearance of deathstroke (not sponsored)
Mysterious I would not say the original Teen Titans series was a failure. It had a long run and it was fairly popular. After all, it went on for 12 years. Was it campy? Hell yes. Was it something of it's era? Most defienetly. Was it bad? If you like campy 60's/70's books with weird but fun stories, hell no, if you despise campy stories, then that is a hard yes.
To give 'Teen Titans Go! to the Movies' some credit, it may very well show Hollywood that 2D animated films can still be viable enough for major theatrical release. Think about it, when was the last time we had a 2D animated film with a high profile release in cinemas? It's only been out a week and has made relatively close to twice its budget. Granted, it's too soon to say how much of an impact this could have on 2D animated films in the long run but hey, who knows...
You and Katie have to be some of the most honest reviewers out there, so glad you're not robots . Like your Justice League reviews you both did , if you like something you don't wait till everyone agrees or disagrees with you or not .
One movie I like that makes people say, "Realy?" is Godzilla the 1998 version. I don't care what people say about it, I love it and the ending makes me cry.
Oh and the movie I really love that I think gets flak at times is Across the Universe. Personally I don't care what other people say about it but its one of my top favorites movies with music in it, I thought it was well put together with how its incorporated the Beatles songs with what was going on during the 60s with the cool and awesome artistic visuals along with the plot as a whole.
I've been waiting to see your review of this and Andre dude......your not the only one. As a Go Hater I REALLY enjoyed this movie. This movie is essentially like a Season 0 of the Go Titans due to the show they've encountered him and knew of Slade and fought him off screen but here they knew nothing of Slade. But that Challengers of the Unkown Reference REALLY made me appreciate the movie because their sooooo obscure no one knows who they are until this film
I am not gonna bother seeing it so you can say whatever you want to say about it (Minutes later) Great video bro maybe I will see it DANG IT BLACK NERD why do you incourage me so much??!!! I am just SCARED to waste my $40 on this movie DANG IT ANDRE😂 #TitanFeels😖😟🙏🙏
Andre "Black Nerd" Other than that man keep up the humor and great work you really inspire me #FuriousCrews probably gonna be my new youtube name for when I start reviewing movies like you #LOL😀😇🙏
I loved Waterworld and own it on DVD. I thought the set design and cinematography were fantastic, the picture editing was effective in creating suspense and delivering the perfect reaction from each character, and I really enjoyed how the whole movie was basically Mad Max at sea. Definitely highly underrated and not at all deserving of its bomb status.
I have nothing against TTG, but I do wish both shows could exist at the same time-heck even back to back time slots-because the tones are so different.
Jackson Michiels yeah it’s definitely coming back in Greg cipes instagram live he literally said “when season 6 comes..” then did a facepalm and the entire audience shouted
I honestly thought that the semi-serious plot alongside the humor really worked together. Especially with Robin, going through a whole character shift than he usually does in the show.
I saw the movie the movie too, with my gf. She DID NOT WANT TO GO more than I did, and where as I hate the show, she actually liked the show. We both ended up loving this movie.
Glad you like the movie, Andre! I thought it was RAD! There were parts when I was laughing so hard that I was crying. If you want more deep cut meta-humor, check out the Teen Titans Go! episode "Classic Titans," where Control Freak turns them into Filmation/Super Friends-style versions of themselves. That's the episode I realized the show was a lot smarter than I'd given it credit.
Andre, I do have a film that everyone looks at me in confusion when I say that I love it. The movie is Good Butger and it is the only film that consistently makes me cry every time that I watch it. Who the fudge can sit there stone-hearted as Ed gives Dexter the same yo-yo his father gave him before his dad disappeared from his life? And all while Dexter is scamming Ed. SO SAD
You're now the third person I've heard this general feeling from. I probably still won't see it in the theater, but I'll probably check it out when it's rentable.
I neither love nor hate Teen Titans Go, I will admit that while there are moments that made me roll my eyes, there are also many moments that made me genuinely laugh too. One thing that I could think of that I genuinely thought was clever in the series was to make Raven a brony since Tara Strong is both Raven and Twilight Sparkle. Also kitty obsessed Starfire is my spirit animal. I will admit to wanting to see this movie especially since they have Nicholas Cage voicing Superman, if know a lot about superheroes you would know what that casting choice was pure brilliance. I still prefer the 2003 version because that series was great, but I would never call myself a hater of Teen Titans Go and I find the haters to be quite annoying sometimes.
Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four RotSS, Green Lantern... Yeah, still love them no matter how much flak I get for it. And speaking of toxic fanbases, I am now prouder than ever to say I will always love Star Wars Episode I. After seeing the outpouring of HATE HATE HATE at Lucasfilm these days, I'm convinced that the bulk of Star Wars fanboys will hate ANYTHING on the big screen that's not the original trilogy.
Yes! I was one of the original Teen Titans fans and for a while I didn't want to even glance at Teen Titans Go!, but then nerdwire did a review on the trailer and since my brother loves this show I decided why not. I actually really liked the trailer and then decided that I would do a blind reaction. I did, and I can say I love this movie! I am a very intelligent individual and even I loved it! Most of it was actually really funny and I hope that when the reaction comes up on my channel you'll go over there and watch it.
That theme song for this movie is AMAZING. Oh and for Their own good they better fallow through with that teaser otherwise people will probably give them a gigantic storm of hate.
I really don’t like Teen Titans Go so much 😓👎🏼 the reason why, I was so anger for Show and Movie to, so l’m not lie to all people.. I just say for true
I love your reviews broham!!! I honestly haven’t been to the movies since the remake of IT!! But your reviews give me enough anyway lol.. thanks mane keep up the good work!! It’s hard to make me genuinely laugh but somehow you do that
I really like how Andre has his own, unique, opinions. Every other review on this I've seen is hating on it because of nostalgia of the original. Its really nice to see a new point of view.
I don't have a movie like what you mentioned at the end, I have a book. Battlefield Earth a Saga of the year 3000, and I sometimes get afraid to mention it because of a certain John Travolta project from 2000.
While it's not a show that I watch on a regular basis, when my nephew watches it, I'll watch it with him. I'm fond of the fan theory that Teen Titans Go is Beast Boy from the old Teen Titans show dreaming about him and his friends on even whackier adventures. Thus, while it's clearly based on the "real world" of the old series, everything and everyone is oddly skewed. It's funny, and it's cool that they're allowed to use more DC characters then the original did. Even if it doesn't feel like my show, I'm glad that my nephew likes it, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the movie. Now, for what I'm sure is the thousand time, when are you going to review the first episode of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show?
So, gonna start off with three points. 1) Haven't seen the movie, don't really intend to. 2) I've seen the show, couldn't sit through a full episode. 3) Just as you said, but inverted, if you love TTG, fine, you do you, no hate. Here's my thing though. What gets to me about TTG isn't even so much itself...but how that style of comedy is SPREADING. An incredibly dramatic Turtles series that had serious plots (most of the time) and drama ends, and what does Nick replace it with? TMNT Go, more or less. Early indications on the Thundercats reboot? Thundercats Go! And again, to each their own but...what I saw from TTG was so mindless...the easy jokes, the SUPER simple plots...it's fine on its own as something I can just ignore but I worry about it becoming a TREND. Now, funny enough, if that hint in the credits is fulfilled, that's a nice counter-balance, because the counterargument to my case is multiple iterations of a franchise, IN THE PARTICULAR MEDIUM (so not "If you don't like TTG just read the Titans comics!"), that cover a range of moods and styles.
Totally get what your saying and you're making valid points. And as I said in the video, TTG has its smart meta episodes and its goofy, target demo episodes. But I just wanted to make it clear in the video that regardless what anyone thinks about TTG, this review is about the movie itself, not the entire franchise or fanbase. Thanks for watching as always, man!
I did make a pretty key mistake in my comment...I did nothing to link it to the specific thing you were talking about, besides saying I hadn't seen the movie and had no plans to. Sorry! Should have made a better effort to at least have it related. The thought that caused the comment, which I should have included, was that the movie worries me in the regard I mentioned, because if it does well, that's just all the MORE inspiration to use that style, and see it spread to other properties. I won't say I don't want TTGttM to do well, because that's a vindictive thought. Just that I'm concerned if it does. Thanks for replying, and being one of my own TH-cam inspirations!
I always say as much as I love characters like Batman and Spiderman, comic books are fictional, some people get way to wrapped into comic book characters, remember it's not real life
In my opinion it was not bad and I laughed a lot in this movie and this movie is good really god to be honest and yes am a comic book fan and I was surprised that it was so good and good review Andre
Andre why don't you have a million subscribers, you are one my favorite youtubers, I love to watch your videos, you deserve more than million subscribers
I considered this movie to be tolerable. But that's what I expected. I liked the different easter eggs. And I liked some different things about it. But at the same time it was still just tolerable. I was done half way in. And some movies that I like that others don't include Green Lantern, Batman v Superman, and Justice League.
You know who desrves their own movie besides Robin....
Black Nerd: The Movie
Woody and Daffy Duck Black Nerd The Movie? Hey, where's my ticket? I will be sitting front row for that.

Nicolas Cage as Superman was absolute gold.
Deep cut!
I laughed out loud hearing his voice in this movie. That was a genius inside joke. Lol
He's a national treasure
That was the whole reason why I saw the movie

God damnit.
The Aquaman, and Batman origin jokes were dark af were hilarious. Them running over the tiger was also hilarious.

Most defienetly. Was it bad? If you like campy 60's/70's books with weird but fun stories, hell no, if you despise campy stories, then that is a hard yes.
just so we're on the right track we're talking about pre marv wolfman titans like the brave and the bold #54?
To give 'Teen Titans Go! to the Movies' some credit, it may very well show Hollywood that 2D animated films can still be viable enough for major theatrical release. Think about it, when was the last time we had a 2D animated film with a high profile release in cinemas?
It's only been out a week and has made relatively close to twice its budget. Granted, it's too soon to say how much of an impact this could have on 2D animated films in the long run but hey, who knows...
The only reason i would go (ha, no pun intended). Is some meta humor, and that aftercredit scene
I'm going to see it next week with my younger brother Tyler. Glad you liked it Andre!
The Stan Lee cameo was good
His best cameo!
RadioShadow I know stan lee best cameo is on DC lol
Andre, you should get your own movie too. It would be called Black Nerd: The Movie! Ah, I can see it now...
for some reason the fart joke that lasted for so long, made me laugh. And i HATE fart jokes
You and Katie have to be some of the most honest reviewers out there, so glad you're not robots .
Like your Justice League reviews you both did , if you like something you don't wait till everyone agrees or disagrees with you or not .
I'm a Black nerd too. I love your channel and i subbed.
One movie I like that makes people say, "Realy?" is Godzilla the 1998 version. I don't care what people say about it, I love it and the ending makes me cry.
No shame I like it
Dr. Wub- “You can’t beat Superman, he’s a national treasure!”
National treasure
God dammit
It's obvious that most people watched it for the end credits.
geardog24 Yup.
Nope
Oh and the movie I really love that I think gets flak at times is Across the Universe. Personally I don't care what other people say about it but its one of my top favorites movies with music in it, I thought it was well put together with how its incorporated the Beatles songs with what was going on during the 60s with the cool and awesome artistic visuals along with the plot as a whole.
And Andre could've dressed up at cyborg.
I am not gonna bother seeing it so you can say whatever you want to say about it
(Minutes later)
Great video bro maybe I will see it DANG IT BLACK NERD why do you incourage me so much??!!! I am just SCARED to waste my $40 on this movie DANG IT ANDRE😂 #TitanFeels😖😟🙏🙏
$40??? WHERE YOU SEEING MOVIES, MAN? Or are you talking about buying tickets for your family or SO?
Andre "Black Nerd" I am maybe gonna see it with my little brother, mother, and me plus popcorn, drink, maybe etc.
Trust me, not a waste. This movie is totally worth it. It gets a 9.5/10 for me.
Andre "Black Nerd" Other than that man keep up the humor and great work you really inspire me #FuriousCrews probably gonna be my new youtube name for when I start reviewing movies like you #LOL😀😇🙏
Andre "Black Nerd" Do you recomend it for a 15 year old? (me)
I loved Waterworld and own it on DVD. I thought the set design and cinematography were fantastic, the picture editing was effective in creating suspense and delivering the perfect reaction from each character, and I really enjoyed how the whole movie was basically Mad Max at sea. Definitely highly underrated and not at all deserving of its bomb status.
11:18 he put a pitcure of the OG Teen Titans
Ik its coming back (If this is a spoiler im sorry)
I have nothing against TTG, but I do wish both shows could exist at the same time-heck even back to back time slots-because the tones are so different.
Teen titans season 6 might happen what do you think about that andre ?
Jackson Michiels It’s not.
Jackson Michiels Might? My friend it’s GONNA happen.
Scott Sandler yes it is Greg cipes said it in his Instagram live like a few weeks ago too bad no one recorded it
It's a troll man.
Jackson Michiels yeah it’s definitely coming back in Greg cipes instagram live he literally said “when season 6 comes..” then did a facepalm and the entire audience shouted
That end credits scene tho... so excited!!!
I felt the EXACT SAME about everything you said about this movie! I give it a 10000000/10
I honestly thought that the semi-serious plot alongside the humor really worked together. Especially with Robin, going through a whole character shift than he usually does in the show.
Love the video bro💜‼️🙌🏾
Sound Proof notice this movie will have a daffy Duck and porky pig cameo at the beginning of the movie
SO SAD
This movie made me feel so happy happy
You're now the third person I've heard this general feeling from. I probably still won't see it in the theater, but I'll probably check it out when it's rentable.
Okay no bull I had to stop watching in the middle of your show to go find the movie and watch it because of how good you just been sound
Kids ask your parents were babies come from - robin 2018
Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four RotSS, Green Lantern... Yeah, still love them no matter how much flak I get for it.
And speaking of toxic fanbases, I am now prouder than ever to say I will always love Star Wars Episode I. After seeing the outpouring of HATE HATE HATE at Lucasfilm these days, I'm convinced that the bulk of Star Wars fanboys will hate ANYTHING on the big screen that's not the original trilogy.
The "Teaser" is very much so going to put a lot of pressure on WB. If they can't live up to it, they're doomed. :(
I love your videos bro!
Ron Perlman as Slade for life!!!!!
I Agree With You. I Watched It And Shockingly I Liked The Movie. It Suprised Me By A Whole Mile.
It’s hard to make me genuinely laugh but somehow you do that
Bruh 🤣😂🤣😂
I really like how Andre has his own, unique, opinions. Every other review on this I've seen is hating on it because of nostalgia of the original. Its really nice to see a new point of view.
Love to see your review. Hilarious!
I don't have a movie like what you mentioned at the end, I have a book. Battlefield Earth a Saga of the year 3000, and I sometimes get afraid to mention it because of a certain John Travolta project from 2000.
At the moment of watching this, the day it’s uploaded, Andre has Satan subs
Teen Titans Go reminds me of those twizzlers commercials where everyone is serious until a twizzler dangles in their faces to make them laugh.
You're not alone...this was one of my favorite movies of the year. I was laughing and smiling ear to ear the entire time.
