So sorry for you loss. I'm sure you brother would of been very grateful for the video in is honour on his birthday. I have enjoyed your video's and all the back stories. You don't realize how many people are involved in making animated Christmas movies. Another great video 😉
The animated Christmas movies was my favorite way to get the holidays started. There wasn't a year that went by that I wasn't sitting in front of the tv watching these movies. I watched them with my children and then with my grandchildren. It's to bad that these movies are seldom seen anymore.
It is especially hard when a family member dies at such a young age. You have my deepest sympathy. While many years have passed, to you I am sure it seems like yesterday. Your tribute is appreciated by all.
my condolences for the loss of your brother. though a lot of time has passed the holidays always make the memories flood back, cute video i loved it. rudolph the red nosed reindeer is still my favorite. i watch it every year.
Thanks for the holiday themed vlog! I would never have thought about honoring those voice actors. What a great idea! My personal favorites are the Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Still watch them every year on dvd.
Christmas voice actor addition was a great idea for an episode! And my favorites was always Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Charlie Brown Christmas! Stop motion and american animation, was very cool technology especially for a kid growing up! Merry Christmas and a very joyful New Years friend!
I loved the Jimmy Durante tv show. As he signed off he always said "Goodnight Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are." His ending song was "Good night, good night good night" as he walked through a series of spotlights backstage into the dark. I often wondered who Mrs Calabash was. A Google search turns up a lot of explanations including a reference to his wife, a town, a restaurant etc. I guess Jimmy took it to his grave.. Love your videos.
Yes, Burl and his voice were one of a kind and unforgettable, thanks to his Christmas songs on the radio every year. Thanks, Dregostyr and Merry Christmas to you, too!
Thank you so much for your blog I love them so much also my parents grew up not far from where 0L Burl Ives did and I have family that lives close to his grave his head stone is very unique
I know your brother would have enjoyed this video for him. What a lovely tribute. Thank you for all the research this has to take. We get to really know the entertainers we have enjoyed and loved through the years---and for keeping their memories alive....
The two names that stick out the most for me growing up watching these Christmas tools were that of Rankin & Bass because that was the first thing you see watching them.
Oh what memories, yes I have seen them all. And I still watch them to this day, thank you for sharing this so awesome, And you have a great Christmas and a happy new year.
Here's a comment from Peterborough K, with updates and corrections to this video, that I thought you might be interested in reading. I watched your video over Christmas about about our favorite voice actors where you mentioned Larry D. Mann and others. I have one correction for you though...you asked if anybody knew where Stan Francis, Peg Dixon or Paul Soles is buried to please let you know. Well did you know many of the voice actors on "Spiderman" (1967-1970) were Canadian also? Peg Dixon played Betty Brant and Paul Soles played Spiderman/Peter Parker...and the correction is Paul Soles is still alive at 88. The announcer and many others also worked with legendary comedians Wayne & Shuster. Also Superman co-creator Joe Shuster was Frank Shuster's cousin.
It's amazing to think about all of these people and how their work seems to live on forever. Even Rudolph outlived the retail chain and was such a brilliant marketing idea. Almost like Coke and Santa. Great vlog though. We all know their voices but many of these people we never really thought much of who they were or where they were laid to rest. They'll be a part of us forever.
It is sad, and ironic, that Montgomery Ward gave the world one of the most popular characters, while it's own popularity faded away over the years. Thanks, Rhetty.
Gene Autry wrote Here Comes Santa Claus after being in The Hollywood Christmas Parade and hearing the kids yell Here Comes Santa Claus Here Comes Santa Claus.

Thanks Graveyard guy. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for posting this video , I remember watching these shows as a child and still watch Frosty The Snowman, Charlie Brown Christmas , Frosty Returns, and many of the others I remember very well. Hi Steve, I just wanted to say that I truly enjoy watching your videos because it helps me to remember some stars and people from the past that as we all know as time goes by memory of then Fades and I applaud you for doing this it's very nice thing. Today I just watched the one where you found the graves of all the Little Rascals and Our Gang I was one of my absolute favorites when I was a kid. Jesus gets a place setting at Christmas dinner and an epic old Snoopy Jelly jar glass beside his plate ! Thank you for your fun and interesting trips around California. 👍 May your holidays be memorable. Merry Christmas 🎄

I live not far from Burl Ives home in Anacortes Wa. I am a retired nurse, and he put on several charity concerts for our hospital. He used to have the “Burl Ives Snowman” in his front yard every Christmas! I really enjoyed that. He a was kind and generous man.

My husband of 43 years proposed during The Charlie Brown Valentine movie. Anything Charlie Brown is very special to us. Thank you for all of the time you put into your videos. I love them all!
Another polished video! I really like how you are incorporating the music, the photos, and info. I know this comment seems a bit repetitive, perhaps because I really feel like you have found a 'groove' to your vlog. This formula works! Really enjoying the videos produced in the last few months. Bravo on a job well done.
Thanks for the positive feedback, DR BRZ. I really appreciate it. It took me more than a year--with a lot of feedback from viewers, like you--to figure out what style of videos work best for me and for my channel. Glad to hear it's working for viewers, too!
Hi Mark, watching it again after uploading it I realize I was talking a mile a minute and cramming in way too much info. And I don't even drink coffee :-) Thanks, Mark and Go Nobles!
Fast talk=clear mind. I'm getting tired of the constant wet grass up here in Seattle and I'm thinking about a second home in a dryer climate. Could you tell me if a person could purchase a house in the movie colony area of Palm Springs in the $600-$700 hundred thousand dollar range? Love the idea of the Hollywood history and impact it had on Palm Springs. Having all that information flow so naturally shows a love for what your doing. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
I'm sorry to hear of your brothers passing. Growing up I loved Mr. Magoo! And I Married Joan...staring Joan Davis the queen of comedy! Lol. This was a very touching tribute. Thank you for your flawless work. Have a great day. Love the hat!!!
I absolutely love Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer actually watched it last week still waiting on Frosty and Santa to be shown thank you so much for making these vlogs they really brighten up my day I hope you're having a wonderful holiday season y'all
Been on a binge watching spree of all of the Christmas shows from before the 90's and through the 90's I had no idea most of the voice actors passed except a couple
I've learned more from you than I ever did in school. Especially when it comes to all the people I grew up on I'm a 90's baby but I spent most of my childhood watching westerns and older country music and rock gotta love Elvis but anyways thank you for sharing your journey
Very nice video Steve. I had many years as a kid watching these specials. Good to see these are still airing today. My favourite is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. You look so cute in your Santa hat. Thanks for Christmas memories.
Paul Soles who was the voice of Hermey has not died. He is 88 years old and have a television show possible series in production called my 90-year-old roommate
Happy Birthday to your brother. This video brought back so many memories for me. Mainly how my sisters and I took over the tv every year to watch these movies we’d seen countless times. And a while back I told you Marlin Perkins played in MASH. I was mistaken about that. I had him confused with someone else whose name just completely slipped my mind. I apologize for giving you wrong information. My mind is quite slippery these days. Lol. Thank you for bringing a bit of my childhood back to me today. Love from Louisiana ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks, Susan, I'm no stranger to senior moments, so I'm right there with you :-) Taking these trip down memory lane help to jog the memory a bit, though!
Must have been a riot to see you walking through a cemetery with your Santa cap on! I have Shelley Winters giving her autobiography with her own voice. Thanks again for another cool cemetery video. I was 8 years old when Rudolph the Reindeer originally aired in 1964. TH-camr" Daze with Jordan the Lion" lives in Hollywood and was a close friend to Shelley Winters at the end of her life.
Happy B- day Bruce Wayne. Remember them all. Still watch what I can find. TCM, ect. I downloaded the Xmas Norelco shaver commercial too!🙏🏼❤️🎄 So many memories. Happy Hollidays To you and yours Steve.
Yes your videoes are getting better and better. I really look forward to each of them.Thank you so much for doing such good research before you post, I especially enjoy all you have to say about the Stars and pictures to go with the faces. Also I look forward to going down memory lane, I am 64 so I was a product of the 1960s and was a little girl when most of these movies,Roudoulph and Frosty came out. I think it's wonderful Steve that you deadiacated this video to your brother!Happy Birthday in Heaven Bruce!
Burl Ives played football at my Alma Mater, Eastern Illinois University. He chose to drop out of college to pursue other interests. I think he made the right decision.
My brother died at the age of 21. He would have been 63 today, So this video is for him. Happy Birthday, Bruce. Miss you!
Happy birthday Bruce! what a lovely tribute for his birthday

God bless you Steve . Mr magoo was always hilarious. The world misses him so much. You could do a great voice over yourself. Take care.

Whenever the holidays come around it's not the same without the Rankin Bass specials.

I know. Me either. I always learn so much doing these vlogs :-)

I remember fondly the classic Christmas shows and movies
Loved it! My favorite is Rudolph and Santa Claus is coming to town! Have a Merry Christmas and thank you!😊🎁🎄❄
Thanks, Denise, and same to you!
@@TheGraveyardChannel May you remember your brother with beautiful memories! ❤

Burl Ives played football at my Alma Mater, Eastern Illinois University. He chose to drop out of college to pursue other interests. I think he made the right decision.
