Definitely a late prototype/early production version. I have a brand new one in front of me and there are several fit and finish differences. Cool that you got it so cheap!
@@tompetroff Seems like the handle materials is a big difference. I have the GH2021DPC model and there are a lot tighter tolerances in the parts of the handle compared to your knife. Definitely don't sell it, there are probably not very many around!
It's 40$ cause it's a prototype mock up knife with low grade steel from looks of it. Look in Touchofmodern.com you'll see the difference with a production version. Night and day.

It’s easier to close the blade by pushing the lever back.

The current version has a lousy steel, too
440C steel for $180 I think not.
