Your videos have been incredibly helpful in preparing for our recent vacation. We’re just st back from our first trip to Nice, we really enjoyed it. The carnival and the old city were our highlights. At least in February Nice is quite reasonably priced, even the luxury hotels. What we really liked about Nice (besides the spectacular weather) was its easily manageable size and lack of big city issues. We‘ll definitely be back in summer, but will have to scale back our hotel to remain in a reasonable budget.
Thanks for sharing - we couldn’t agree more to what you’re saying 😊, thanks especially for the „big city“ comment: we don’t point that out enough: Nice is small for a big city - you‘ll find everything you need, and still most of what you want to do is within walking distance. Glad you had a nice time!!
Thank You ladies for all of your fantastic videos; I'll be in Antibes for all of May and your videos have been brilliant for advice and ideas. I'll watch this one tomorrow - its 3.30am where I am and should be in bed asleep!!! RX
Hello lovely ladies. Great time you had 😊 Yes,those are the av. prices there. But as you said, hotel price is off season. Sooner will reach the higher levels. Sunset time looks wonderful and the food you pick looked delicious. Tour bus ride is for how long? Great views as usual and I am glad you had your girlie time. When together you look very happy and compatible. That's really great! So vegetarian except fish? Just curious. Crock monsieur and the bruschetta, mmmmm😋. Great trip and great time spent. Merci 👍🌞
😍 The bus tour takes 90 minutes, and you’re very observant: one of us is vegetarian, apart from the occasional bite of fish when in a restaurant or invited by friends🫣, the other one will have a forkful of meat when it’s for a video 😉. Thanks for your thoughts, as always!
@@rivierago :) Thanks. 90 min is quite a ride. But sounds really like a good service/time for listening the info and watching the beautiful views around. Sorry for the food question, if it was too much! Yes,I remember easily. I have friends who don't eat meats, but seafood. I asked automatically out of curiosity. Opps. Thanks for your answers and most of all, for the great video and scenery. 👍🌞🤍 ( Will check out that charming hotel)
We love this channel! Was the hotel really included in the average spend as published? Many an ordinary hotel would charge most of that, so I don't know what people are doing or eating? In low season as you were perhaps!
Hey, yes the hotel was included. But the hotel we picked is definitely on the cheaper side, and yes, it was the off season! So in summer it would definitely be (way) more expensive - it actually it depends on the hotels: some become a lot more expensive in peak season, others not sooo much…
Staying in Marseille, I spent a bit more. I don’t eat breakfast. Especially because I was still asleep. I start with lunch. I can’t help but to have wine with each meal, and I was visiting my adult nephews and their friends. I think my visit was boozier than yours. So, €125-€160. Higher when I bought other items, like perfumes. I’m from California, so I find the prices so good! But, instead of being satisfied with spending less, I was sometimes compelled to spend more.
Marseille is even a little cheaper than Nice! And yes, we could have definitely spent more (but also less)! The hotel price was really good and will go up in spring and summer, for lunch we went for one of the cheapest options possible after our nice breakfast, and even dinner was a good deal. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 🤩
Hello! Thank you so much for your video! They’re the best! We’re to the French Riviera soon and I am following you closely. I have a question, was the hotel you went too clean?
Amazing video! Thank you! I went to book the Villa Rivoli for arrival June 1 and it’s already sold out! If anyone has any other suggestions for great little hotels I would appreciate it.
Hey, thanks a lot! We’ve mentioned another similar hotel in our video on the La Libération neighbourhood th-cam.com/video/_Jp2WTtIL1c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2wbjG7Fej9vl5gWV - maybe have a look. We’re also preparing a video on hotels in Nice, but we’re not quite done yet…
hello ladies! i have been following you since quite some time now, you make very detailed and informative videos. thanks a ton for that so we are planning to tarvel to paris and french riviera at the start of may this year, could you plz let me know how will be the weather there, and if i need to pack winter cloths, and will it still be cold to take a dip in the sea?
Hey, thanks a lot! So, Paris should be cooler than the Riviera. May is tricky, it can be really warm, but it can also be cool and rainy at times. Bring a medium warm jacket (no winter coat) and expect to wear layers that you can take off during the day. On the Riviera, it will probably be t-shirt weather. We see people swimming in the sea every day, even now… personally we don’t go until June probably - but that’s a matter of how courageous you are 😉
Hey, April (and May) can be tricky, it might rain for a few days, but temperatures are nice during the day, still chilly at night. It should mostly be sunny and in that case: 20 degrees Celsius or more. Perfect for discovering, walking, and even dipping into the sea, if you’re courageous. Definitely fine for sitting on terraces during the day.
@@melissarose888 for our liking: too hot! But if you're ok with warm weather and want to enjoy the sea, July and August are great (crowded, of course). Just not for sightseeing - those 2 months are rather for enjoying the lifestyle: getting dinner outdoors, staying up late because it's finally cooling down a bit, siesta between 12 and 3 PM...
Great video as usual. Maybe you'd consider making one for people coming with dogs? Dog friendly beaches, restaurants and attractions... Thanks again for great content. Best Wishes,
Hey, we don’t live in Nice - but according to this website www.seloger.com/prix-de-l-immo/location/provence-alpes-cote-d-azur/alpes-maritimes/nice/60088.htm the average price for a non furnished apartment is currently 855 € per month (or 19 € per square meter)
Take a local bus, around 1.5 euro. Visit the amazing nude beach near Cap d'Ail for a sun tan and swimming, free. I won't mention exact location to prevent americans going there to stare at naked people while remaining dressed themselves.
Congrats on making us feel so comfortable and cosy with your videos
🙏 thank you 😊
Wieder sehr schön gemacht. Schönes leichtes Englisch. Grüße aus Bamberg an Aila
Extra für alle Nicht-Muttersprachler, haha 😅😉, liebe Grüße zurück!
Great my wonderful friends 🎉🙋♀️💐Lovely hotel !

Excellent video ladies!! You came up with a great idea, and it was very informative! Thank you!

This was the best video , I have seen going through the town like a tourist.!
So informative. Thank you very much💐
Glad you liked it, thanks for sharing 🤩
Thank you for another great video. From my experience I can say that French Riviera pass is very useful and helps make savings on tourist attractions.
Thanks for your input 👍😊, we‘re planning on a „guide for first timers“ and will definitely talk about that pass in there

Personally I would skip a breakfast in the hotel - for 12 euros (up to 18 depends on the hotel) you can buy tons of local food in a boulangerie :)
Absolutely! We travel like that a lot: finding a cute cafe or bakery for breakfast is part of our discoveries of the day.
Great vid! xo
Loved it ❤️thanks .
