It happened one summer is my Roman Empire and the first romance book I gave 5 stars to. It introduced me to the romance community and I couldn’t be more grateful! Better than the movies is wonderful as well!
I agree that this year romance books haven’t been hitting the same. The only 5 stars I have had have been “Life’s too short” by Abby Jimenez, “Better than the movies” and “the do-over” by Lynn painter, and hopefully the ARC I’m currently reading: “snowed in” by Catherine Walsh (super well written and realistic, and I’m really invested in the romance)

I love the author P. D'angelico! I feel like she is kind of underrated, but she is my go to author when I need some rom com. The books in her main series (Wrecking ball, Sledgehammer and Bulldozer) are so good! And Babymaker and Carried Away are my comfort reads 😍
I was sat here the whole time like “she’s gonna say hating game for number one, it’s got to be she always talks about it” 😂

I loved It Happened One Summer when I first read it! I highly highly recommend Meghan Quinn! I truly think you will love the Cane brothers series. Also, I was once told “don’t find your honey where you make your money” so I can’t get into workplace romance books 🤣😭

I LOVED "Better Than The Movies"! It was so freaking cute 🥰 I hope the sequel is good when it comes out next year. You should read Lynn Painter's other books. "Mr. Wrong Number" was so funny 🤣 and "The Do-Over" is really cute.
One of my all time favorite rom coms is "Thank You for Listening". That book always makes me smile.

if you liked it happened one summer you definitely gonna love unfortunately yours (also by tessa bailey) it is a 2 books series this one being the second one (no need to read the first one before, ngl i didnt really like the first lol) it's my favorite tessa bailey's book, the characters are very intersting and the male is a whole ass ex navy seal hehe

Yep, I totally agree with "your rant"! Where are the great rom coms that give us all the feels?! Ali Hazelwood, Lynn Painter (and Christina Lauren sometimes) are the queens though.That being said, have you tried Katherine Center last books? The bodyguard and Hello stranger were fun! Not perfect but entertaining. She's really growing on me!

@@nikkisbooknook definitely, give them a chance! I just thought about another romance that I loved so much that I highly recommend you try first 😬 : The co-op by Tarah Dewitt. The FMC might be a tad annoying but the book is really good! I like Tarah Dewitt's writing. She reminds me a lot of Emily Henry 😘
I read people we meet on vacation and hated 😂😂 i could go on a rant about that one lol but if i had to pick at least my top five favorite books that just made mi kick my feet were
1. Our dinnin table manga this book was like a warm hug it was the cutest book i ever read
2. Spy family manga this series is so cute and its a fun time love this manga
3. The princess and the grilled cheese sandwich this was such a cute graphic novel
4. Love in focus manga this book was absolutely such a cute read loved the story
5. Zodiac academy series this series has broken my soul ripped my heart out like this series is a wild ride n its my favorite series so far cant wait for book 9 to come out lol

@@nikkisbooknook it was my first Emily Henry book and i didnt have audible at the time so i physically read it n i just couldnt connect with the characters and the relationship felt a lil bit forced like i couldnt tell from past to present n i wanted to love this book i did and i wanna do a reread to see if my option changes the second time around bc i did like happy place , and book lovers n it breaks my heart that i didnt like people we meet on vacation 😂 lol
