Did the distillery tour in the highlands years ago,and we rented a motor home, quite expensive but saved on b&b and hotels, and parked up in glorious locations to wake up to awesome scenery.

Glenfinnan is pronounced fin an, NOT fee nan.
As you said guys it's Edinbuh-ruh, NOT Edin boro.
    Holyrood, NOT Holyrod.
The pillared edifice at the top of Calton Hill in Edinburgh is known as Edinburgh's Disgrace. When started it was supposed to be a replica of the Parthenon in Athens and to be a National Monument to the fallen Scottish soldiers of the Napoleonic Wars but they ran out of cash with only about one third of the building finished.
Btw, the best known repellent for the midge is actually a beauty product called "Avon Skin So Soft", which works far better than any of the over the counter insect repellents.
Loch Lomond is pronounced Low mond, NOT Lomaund.
As a point of interest, Loch Ness, while sadly not containing a monster, does contain more water than all of the lakes of England and Wales combined.
I lived in Stonehaven for a couple of years, way back in 1962-65(aged 9-12).

The place at or near the beginning, the cliffs like a kilt, this is the Scottish side of the giants causeway, it goes across to Ireland, but visit and you will see the stones which you will walk on, they are hexagons mostly, occasional pentagons, it's the only place in the world where this is known about so worth a visit for that alone, if he had been there he would have mentioned this because its more impressive than the cliffs. You are correct about the pronunciation of Edinburgh. Oh no matter how bad the weather take plenty of insect repellent, the buggers do bite a lot, hopefully you will be lucky and not be the right flavour.

I live in Yorkshire but I have visited Scotland many times. August is the time for Midges or as the Scottish refer to them as ‘Beasties’, they are a nuisance. They are tiny flying insects and bite. A place you could visit is Applecross, it’s on the North East Coast of Scotland in Ross-shire. It overlooks the Isle of Skye. You travel through the ‘Great Glen’ and then up the steepest road in the UK! The views are tremendous you then go down into Applecoss where you can stay or make your base. The food there is first class and all local

Best months to visit are maybe May -- early August, I think anyway, These sights are up North + Skye which can be glorious + unforgettable, I stay about 20 miles south of Glasgow, but 1 thing you do need is a "midge" repellent as they more common in the
West than East maybe because of humidity or some inexplicable reason.

Don't worry about the weather. Our met office has state-of-the-art meteorology equipment and still finds it difficult to predict the weather.
This is because the gulf stream changes everything from one minute to the next as it whips from north to south.
It's just our location on the planet.
But the bonus to this is that we in the UK have some of the most lush and green landscapes on the planet.

This is a very poor video about Scotland. As a guided tour, this persons pronunciation is very bad. He should, at least, learn or listen, once, how to pronounce the place names. As a Brit, I had a hard time understanding where he was talking about. There was too much content about the Isle of Skye, if you want to spend time walking endless miles, in the rain, (sometimes), around mountains, most of your visit will be spent missing everything else. The Highlands are beautiful, no doubt about it, but most of the roads are very stressful for driving, endless passing places, that often require one to back up quite some distance. Bed and breakfast is great in the Highlands but, you have to start looking early as they can be few and far between. Don't misjudge the midge warnings, I had to leave my vacation in 'the Highlands 3 days into a 7 day stay due to the misery of midges. They are tiny flies that you see as a cloud and, they bite you really badly.

Agree! Glad this kid enjoyed his visit to Scotland but Scotland is much more than Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye. Title of this vid, is a nonsense - would be like me posting a vid on top 10 places to visit in USA when all i’ve done is spend two weeks in Maine. And if his intent was to encourage fellow americans to follow his example and come visit Scotland, his almost 100 % mispronunciation of place names would backfire spectacularly when tourists are asking baffled locals directions to the places whose names he mangled in this vid
