With The Holidays coming up, pocket knives under $50 are a good idea. Fintiso has put out an interesting line-up. They use the old reliable 14C28N Sandvik steel for their knives (They also have some pricier models in S35VN). This Harpe reminds me of a Protech, but with a different pommel. Enjoy! :D *BROWSE FINTISO KNIVES (US LINKS):* Harpe: s71.co/3YSZdWg Falcon: s71.co/4hwHYS3 Odyssey: s71.co/3XdoR7l Cobra: s71.co/3WVbwiz Rook: s71.co/4cC3Mbf Atlas: s71.co/3ALFEFC Harpe: s71.co/46TTRMV Apollo: s71.co/3XcIoVv Viking: s71.co/3YWeqq3 FINTISO AMAZON STORE: s71.co/4cACYbl FINTISO OFFICIAL WEBSITE: www.fintiso.com/
Love that satin finish. Thanks again for showing us the written specs and information. The visual helps my ears, kinda like turning down the radio to parallel park. Lol ⚔️🇺🇸
Sandvik 14c28N is a great steel for the money. It can be mass produced with blanking and heat treated in mass quantity. Great edge retention and you can Rockwell it out hard or soft. 13c27 is also good and is basically AEB-L. 12c27 is also great because the iron ore is very pure and produces a fine grain structure. I have a Brisa knife in it and I love it.
Beautiful knife. Thank you for sharing your collection. I live on Kauai in a rural area. Many men still carry knives on their person. We have a lot of farmers, hunters and ranchers. It’s a useful tool and it is no big deal to have a knife on your person.
So many people these days, don't carry anything for performing everyday tasks, ! I usually carry a leatherman squirt and a nice pocket knife,, People look at you with a mixture of amazement and shock, when you quickly pull something out of your pocket to accomplish a simple task,, It's a sad world we live in today,,, I've carried stuff in my pockets since I was a boy, but so many guys these days, only have a phone and their keys, !!.. Some don't even carry a wallet, and pay using their phone,,!! I feel a sense of comfort ,in the knowledge that I have a great knife on me every day,, It's a shame I could be arrested for what I carry, but, what the heck,, it's worth the risk,, 😅🇬🇧 All the very best my friend,, 👌
Inspired by your willingness to try new things, I ordered two knives from Amazon yesterday. A tactical one called: DRAGON AERATOR XR-B01 and a more classic Bowie type knife: PURPLEBIRD (I couldn't find any other model name). They are both fixed blade knives. I'm looking forward to it 🙂
@@WeAllJuggleKnives the dragon knife was cheap made, the plastic sheath ain't worth anything, the handle was short for me. Purplebird Bowie was nice, good looking, and the workmanship was actually good. But it is light like a mouse fart, I prefer heavier knives. So I sent both back. It was an option 😁
"When I was a kid" I (we) carried a "Cat Knife". Remember them? Single bladed folder with a cat on the black stamped steel handle. Made in Germany for about $5.00 back in the day. Want one today? About $40. Maybe you can do a review. Thanks.
Yes, the knife is made by a company named OTTER in Solingen (THE knife town here). On their website is a little story about that knife: "The American GIs brought this Mercator knife to America after World War II. There it became famous under the name "Black Cat Knife" and is still a cult item there today. The designation K55K means "K" for Kaufmann (the original manufacturer), "55" for Hochstrasse 55 (the original company address) and "K" for the cat symbol."
When I was about 10 or 11 I started carrying a pocket knife. During the summer my friends and I would get on our bikes Friday morning and would hit all the garage sales in the neighborhood. Mostly we would buy board games for like a quarter. But every one of these garage sales would have a few old cheap pocket knives for $0.15 or $0.25. I would carry it until my mom found it in my pocket when she was doing laundry. She would tell me if the cops caught me carrying a knife they would arrest me! I would say that between the age of 10 and 13, Mom easily confiscated 25 cheap slip joint folders.
Good times! When I was about 16, I bought a used Cattaraugus Quartermaster Knife at a flea market. it had no sheath, but it had obviously done its tour in Vietnam. Since then, Ka-bar and Ontario have produced versions of the classic Quartermaster Knife.
@WeAllJuggleKnives the 225q? That was a great knife. My favorite garage sale knife was a Camillus Electrician knife. It had black handle scales. The handle was 4" it had a spearpoint blade and a second blade that was a screw driver. There was this brass liner lock down the center. It never worked properly on mine. Mom never got this one, I lost it. It was the most I ever paid for a garage sale pocket knife. $0.65 I replaced it with a slightly smaller Klein Sheepsfoot blade folder with brown plastic scales that were supposed to look like Jigged bone

Glad to see so many button locks on the market. Only 5 years ago there was virtually none.

I like the Rook. 3.5” is my preferred size and it’s 25% off.
Nice.
Most kids used to have a Buck 110 in their pocket when I was a kid. Sodbusters were also pretty common. These look great. 👍 Be well bro.
For sure, my dad gave me an old jack knife when I was a kid, I think it was an Imperial or the equivalent.
I bought a machete at memoses for 5$ when i was 11 or so.
Good times
It looks very similar to the CJRB stuff. I dig the color though
That is another good budget brand for sure, part of the new wave of value, Tangram is good, too.
I'll take one as a gift!
Love the new button locks my gerber manual combat is worth some cash now I can retire it and carry a cheap knife to lose lol
Yeah these open fast, ceramic bearing pivot as well.
Very nice review!!!🔥🔥🔥

@@torsten4757 Thanks so much for the history. This knife holds a lot of nostalgia for me.
@bobjones9727 you are welcome.
Actually I do recall the knife a bit too.
When I was a kid, for example, I often saw it at stalls at fairs.

Isn't the hardness too high for this type of steel?
As long as it's just for slicing, the high hardness will be good, but in a larger blade for chopping it could chip.
I've been wondering why did you cut the tips off of 2 fingers of your gloves?
For shooting, and for the touch screen on the camcorder.
I will check it out for gifts.
Always love giving a good pocket knife to dad!
If it only had a flipper

Thanks!
Too much weight for the size.
