    Dr. Gold hammer enlightened me about the connection between gluten/ celiac and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I was thought to have celiac disease as early as 5 years of age. Was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis at age 22. Have been on thyroid meds 42 years with difficulty feeling well. Have been on gluten free diet for 10years and still not feeling great. Finally adopting a whole food plant based diet and definitely starting to feel better.
    Thank you for this outstanding presentation. You have helped me greatly.

    I wondered if he was in neck pain or back pain as stiff and forward facing as he remained. I drank in every word he said. But he seemed very "stiff", physically and emotionally. I hope he's doing well in mind and bones, I really do.

    Nice one man. Always enjoy your talking about these matters. I’m an organic food grower in west wales. Along with mr Campbell you gave long distance support to my decision to 100% organic wfpb dietary choices. My back pain has reduced in keeping with the recovery from an inflammatory state. Over 50 years of animal protein allowed my body to recover. Thanks again. And to the interviewer also. Funny introduction! Shine on brother💚🙏🏽

    He is totally right on about weaning yourself off of caffeine before you begin fasting because the caffeine withdrawal headache is as awful as the worst hangover headache and usually lasts about 24 hours--speaking from experience. Best to come off as much caffeine and sugar as possible before fasting.

    I stopped eating salt and my energy left I'll start getting leg cramps and it was hard for me to breathe at times I couldn't really get any good sleep either. And I was constantly using the restroom. My doctor told me to start adding salt to back into my diet within a week and a half of those symptoms left. I don't eat table sugar or oil's I have been vegan for four years now. And I have to say Dr. McDougall has it right it's OK to add a little salt on top of the food also diets are dangerous especially if you work out

      All animals need salt. This is why hunters can lure deer with a salt lack and why flocks of parrots eat minerals and salt from cliffs in the jungle. This is why animals can often be hanging out around dried up water holes and butterflies drink from muddy mineral-rich pools. We don't need huge amounts of salt, but we do need it.

      @voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With 88 milligrams of sodium per cup, celery has a fairly high salt content for a vegetable. This causes some people watching their salt to worry about eating it, but according to Vicky Ferguson, a Michigan dietician, this doesn't make celery a high-sodium food and one that the salt-aware need to worry much about.

    Hello Dr. Alan,
    I'm a big fan and following all your videos with passion.
    So I will need your valuable opinion, please.
    Actually the reason why I'm writing this to you is I'm more than sure i will get the most reliable answer.
    Inspired of all your videos, five days ago I've started doing my first water fast protocol.
    And everything was going well until yesterday on the 4th day of my fasting where I've started feeling a pain in my Stomach / Gut which was appearing on a sequences, like 1 hour its there and then 1 or 2 hours it will disappear and over and over again.
    I spoke with a friend who is a general practitioner and he advised me to immediately stop my fasting because most probably its about the acid which is normally getting secreted in our GI system, and if i continue with my fast the situation can develop in getting an ulcer in my gut.
    I've tried adding a bit of Baking Soda and Himalayan pink salt into my water intake but no any result.
    Then i took a medicine against the acidity secretion but i still feel the pain.
    In between i would like to mention i had never faced any stomach issue previously in my life.
    So can you please give me your advice of what can be the problem in my gut, and is that a normal situation during the water fast, or i should really stop my fasting period for the time being.
    Looking forward for your advise.
    Your answer is so much highly appreciated.
    My deep respect for what are you doing.
    Keep it up.
    Regards.

    By the grace of God I eat healthy and cycle. I eat well in order to cycle and for my health of course.

    • @CastledarkDweller27

      Ive never understood how anyone can do fasting without being allowed to drink water. i hate being thirsty more than anything in the world. i could go weeks, maybe months without food if i absolutely HAD to, but without water? Please God No.

      @markf2720 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CastledarkDweller27 If you could read Dr Filinov, you would know all about dry fasting. It's not a myth. i've done it several times. however, you need excellent hydration before you commence, which comes from a relatively clean system. Else dry fast could be fatal. There are 3 centres , 2 in Russia, 1 in Ukraine where people have fasted from 6 to 13 days.
