I use Savoy Cabbage. If you cook the bacon 1/2 way then add onions until bacon is done and onions soft then drop in the garlic for about 30 seconds then add cabbage. I cool it well done with a cover on top to simmer until very wilted than add salt (lots) pepper and NUTMEG. My mom taught me to make it, Dutch fried cabbage and bacon.

Trying your recipe right now, only wished you mentioned total cook time and because there's only me, can I refrigerate the left overs and reheat in the microwave? I cook my meals Saturday and Sunday for the week so I don't have to cook when I get home from work. 👍
Total cook time will depend on how soft you want the cabbage to be. You can definitely store leftovers in the refrigerator and heat in the microwave. Hope you enjoy!

I make this all the time! Only thing I add is smoked paprika. One of my favorite meals. And so good for us. I use low sodium bacon!
