    I liked the red one best, I think. It looks fun; messy, but not as messy as glitter.

    Glad you did this video. I tried your other technique to get that cracked look with gilding foil. I only had these 3x3 foil sheets and could not get the cracked look cuz the foil broke down into little pieces. Still loved the effect I got. But now know why it happened. Thanks!

      Hi there! Oh yeah - the larger sheets that I have definitely crack up - they do not rub in. I found that out the hard way 😄Hopefully this technique will work out for you!

    Beautiful! I am wondering, would glitter work? I bought some at Walmart today, and the colors might give an interesting effect - if they work. Thank you for your videos; your presentation style is great and your voice is excellent for the voiceover.

    These are great backgrounds. I think my favorite was the red print. I am so glad I found your TH-cam channel. Your creative work is amazing. I can’t wait to try these techniques.
    Questions when making gel prints do you always let your paint dry between the layering and before you pull a print?

    • @CreatedandMadeStudios
      @CreatedandMadeStudios  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there! Yes, normally, the paint needs to dry between layers. Also, after I place the paper on top of the wet paint in order to pull the print, that needs to dry as well. Acrylic dries very fast but when I have something else on the plate - like gilding sheets or anything else textural - I like to give it a bit more time to dry. Thank you 😊

    Just discovered you today and let's just say I binged watched you! Thanks for the fantastic, creative info! What papers do you like to use?

    • @CreatedandMadeStudios
      @CreatedandMadeStudios  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello! Welcome :) I usually use 65lb or 80lb cardstock. But I also use a fair bit of copy paper. It depends on if I have a planned use for the paper that requires it to be thick or thin. If I don't have a planned use, I go with whatever is close by 😁

    Love this technique! What are you planning to do with your grunge prints?

    • @CreatedandMadeStudios
      @CreatedandMadeStudios  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Who knows lol - I mostly just stack them up and then when I have a project I want to make, I pull out my stack and flip through it - using that process to do my planning and get my creative juices flowing.

    I love them all but the green is my favourite. I have issues with gel printing in general(basic paint and stencils). I struggle pulling a full print up. I end up with patches.

    • @Bre_Creatively
      @Bre_Creatively 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hiiii! Next time you go to gelli plate, try making sure your keeping the rule of thin, even braying of the paint. Also try transferring faster to ensure you aren’t letting your first pull dry (when wanting to pick up more paint from
      Your first layer). I wanted to respond to this bc I have a hard time years ago learning the ropes but now I’m a pro! Good luck!

    • @CreatedandMadeStudios
      @CreatedandMadeStudios  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I agree with @Unapologetically40 - if you are getting patches, the culprit is usually you have too much paint or not enough. If its too much, then the paint is likely not dry throughout and it needs to be dry to effectively pull off the layer. But if you use too little paint then it begins to dry before you get the paper down and that also won't pull off properly. If you have an even, thin layer, you should be able to vaguely see the outline of the print underneath through your paint. You can also try a larger brayer - for instance, on my 5x7 plate I may use a 6" brayer which may help with even paint application. across the whole plate. Hope that helps some!

      It might be caused by your paper. I did a demo a few weeks ago at a shop with their printer paper. It only took off part of the paints on the GP. Afterward it dawned to me... it has a slick surface, so the paints did not stick to it too well as the moisture can not get into the paper. I did the same techniques at home with my own printerpaper, and it took off the paints from the plate well.
