I know how this feeling is, I got mine in heartgold after 5 days of hunting. Using repel trick with level 14 corsola hustle lead, made it 100% in the daytime on route next to national park. I found out this for my 3 shiny teams I'm doing in heartgold for each starter I choose throughout my playthrough.
This might be a dumb question but how do you do that thing with two games going at the same time I have been a content creator since July 2019 and don't know how to do that yet??

@@RCCPLL7 When transferred from gen 2 pokemon transporter gives it a pid, EC nature and stats so it will almost always be different stat wise, nature is also based on what the xp points end in if i remember correctly

Thanks! Dex nav is one hell of a thing. I don’t soft reset to restart the chain, I soft reset to get the search level back to 0, which is the only time it is full odds. So it gave me a headache when I initially tried to figure it out on Bulbapedia, but this is pretty much how the odds work: -the odds increase with your search level. But the amount they increase changes incrementally. By that, I mean a search level of 1-100 increases it by a certain amount for each search level in that range. But 101-200 increases by a different amount than that, 201-300 is different from either, and so on. -on top of that, at a 50 and 100 chain you get extra shiny rolls too. I believe 50 gives 5 extra rolls and 100 gives 10 extra iirc. So the chain does play a part, but not nearly as much as search level -at any point once you have a search level of at least 1, the game will give you a random 4% chance at 4 extra shiny rolls All of this is pretty complicated and the formula is on Bulbapedia. But since I just wanted to ensure mine was full odds, I needed a 0 search level since search level starts increasing at 1 and there’s the random 4% boost too. Hence the soft resetting, it’s not due to a chain but for the 0 search level. That’s also why I couldn’t just use dexnav to search for the Pokémon then soft reset, because I’d need at least a 1 search level to search for it

There is but it only effects odds for 50th and 100th on the chain, it’s mostly reliant on search level
