Well clearly im going have to do that myself because the last two you sent me where completely inadequate so send her in... THAT'S ALL!
I think that Anna Wintour should do more press about the Met Gala and her exclusive fashion events because I never know why she does these events and I am interested in fashion. I would love to know why she does the thing that she does. Because she is the high priestess of fashion and the ultimate cool girl. Also, I love that they didn't mention Kim Kardashian for best dressed because she wasn't.
Mycenaea, watch your words. You didn't need the first sentence, it sounds like a needless insult from an ignorant person who suffers from deranged narcissism. Why would I care if she cares about me? I just wanted some cool digital content of the Met Gala to be shared with everyone. It just looks like they are there for pictures only.
are you kidding?? the theme of the met gala was reveal since august of last year. There's tons of news about it for weeks before the event. It's impossible not know something about the gala if you really care about it.
She's only criticized for being "cold" because she is a woman. There are plenty of powerful men who behave the same way except they are praised for being "stoic."
K P yeah or their manners are simply not mentioned at all. If a powerful man is nice people say “Oh he’s lovely”, if he’s not, it’s usually fine, no one quite cares.
Have to admit I expected her to be so different. She is nice, kind of shy, and in a skit with Seth Meyers really funny. Never judge anyone just based on your assumptions!
Blake lively, Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Rihanna was of course incredibly original- BORDERING on sacrilege but not quite that, but I do have to hand it to her, she always pulls through with the Met. This year was probably one of my favorite because more people really went for the theme than usual.
Battleborn Putting art on a normal dress doesnt make it special. Those costumes you say are ART, they're designs based on religions forms. You're suppose to be "dressing up" for the Met.
The Devil Wears Prada is actually accurate. She is so intimidating omg but at the same time I'm in awe of her. She just seems so determined and poised and that's definitely why she is the high priestess of fashion. Wow.
I don't understand why people are still writing so mean comment how she is cruel and devil. I know that some people know 'her' just from The devil wears Prada. But they were watching this interview and she was in my opinion so sweet. Also is it just me or she now smiles more often? Its beautiful to see her smile.
Bravo Luca I’m playing the devils advocate and while I agree with Tim, I can also understand why she refused as celebrities are not obligated to take a photo with you and they do have their right to their privacy and space. She seems like a person who is very shy and reserved but once she gets to know you, she opens up more. That doesn’t mean I am a fan of her as I feel she’s bringing vogue down starting with the Kimye cover.
She wasn't named in "Devil wears Prada", if you recall - that was a caricature easily recognized based on her reputation from long before the book or film, earning her the nickname, "Nuclear Wintour". Since she has been reported to have these negative personality traits from many people who worked closely with her for many years, the impression is more lasting and likely to give more insight, (albeit obscured by exaggeration) than judging by a five minute edited interview where she knows she's being watched and judged. It is good to remember that what we know from fiction is just that: fiction. When it is based on reality - such as Lauren Weisberger's book was based on a non-fictional account of her experiences, written first as a 100 page manuscript - it does not mean everything is factually accurate, only that is one person's experiences, from her point of view, satirized for entertainment. Judging by accounts and her own actions and words, is Anna Wintour critical, demanding, decisively uncompromising, intimidating and self-entitled? Highly likely. She's a lot more than the sum of the negative attributes, as well. She's human. Any account or interview cannot encompass one's entire personality or portray everything Anna Wintour is and does.
This year was probably my favorite of the Met - Rihanna always brings it, Zendaya, Lana del Ray, Chadwick Boseman- RIP, Blake Lively, Ariana Grande, Amanda Seyfried, SZA oh! there were a bunch more who really killed it that year.
A few years back my friend was working on a set in LA as a stylist. He said everyone there was instructed to not make eye contact when she entered the room.
Anna was really lovely in this interview because she is talking about something she clearly loves and is happy in it's recent success. I feel I am a similar character.
Hands down, my favorite outfit was Zendaya’s. After that, it would be Anna and Rihanna themselves. I was just in love with the coloring and metallic feel of all their outfits.
when will people stop calling successful and brilliant women "some man's wife"? Georgina is not just "Harvey's wife", like Gisele is not just "Brady's wife" and so many others, maybe I'm getting a little bit crazy here, but this makes me so mad >
Brady is Gisele's husband, as she is by far more successful in her field and known worldwide. Georgina, on the other hand, truly is Harvey's wife. And this shameless plug is disgusting. She is a beautiful charismatic woman but she is no McQueen. She has no great contribution to the world of fashion, and her fame was based on who her husband is/was. Definitely not deserving to be placed in the hall of fame or anything.
@G4RN1SH What do you mean by "forced on celebs through threats"? HARVEY was guilty of that, he tainted the brand and he no longer profits from it: Georgina divorced him, and now it's no longer funded by him: she doesn't deserve to be punished, she didn't endorse his behavior, she's shown she doesn't condone it and she's done the right thing. Also, her fashions are very feminine and well-liked. I get that's not everyone's thing but, nothing is. No one invented the wheel in fashion and no one gets to label what is art.
Especially since she's divorced; not that it's right, either way, but she's certainly not endorsing him and he doesn't profit from sales of her designs
Two things: 1. My fave look of this year’s gala was from Kate Bosworth, who wore what I interpreted to be Mary Mother of God/girl having her first communion. 2. I am glad that Scarlet Johansson wore a dress by Marchesa. Georgina Chapman was not the abuser, Harvey Weinstein was. Georgina should not be vilified for the abhorrent behavior of her husband. I’m glad Scarlet wore Marchesa’s design in support of Georgina. The ‘MeToo’ movement is really loosing its credibility if they are now attacking people who are actual allies of the movement.
There's the #metoo of the people and there's the me too of the media who'll jump on any chance to judge and condemn to get page views. Some decades ago it was all about "Christian" morality and prudeness, judging outfits and song lyrics, warning against videogames leading to violence etc. Nowadays it's "woke" morality, nitpicking behaviors and statements and everything passing some inclusivity test. It's all a game to them and a shame they tarnish the normal people who espouse these values by making them seem crazy and in constant outrage. It's good when celebrities try to tone down the crazy rather than joining the blame choir to get moral points. Ms Chapman is a human first, either married to a potential monster and questioning her entire life and choices or the wife of a man being condemned for things he didn't do or whose crimes are made to look worse than what they were. She at least deserves to be left out of this.
That pretty much sums up Georgina Chapman, who in my opinion, was a silent consensual partner in her husband's behavior. She sold her soul for his contacts and pressure to make her company successful and now she can take the fall with him
Viviana Schejtman seriously. If Jude Law went in costume as Pope Pious that would’ve been the best thing ever. Katy Perry’s giant angel wings were pretty cool though.
In the end, Zendaya and Cara Delevingne were best dressed. There is a fine line between being in a theme and dressing as a theme. Rihanna will forever be the queen of the Met Gala for her 2015 and 2017 looks, but her look this year was like dressing up for Halloween. It was like “what is the theme? Alright, I’ll dress like that, and as exuberant as possible, so everyone sees me.” This is what Lagerfeld managed not to do with Chanel: falling into the clichés. Because then it’s just costuming, and not really dressing for a theme. At the Met, you can ask for the best high fashion there is, round looks, that are thought out and on point to the last curl of hair. Looks that embody quality, real style. Last year and in 2015, Rihanna did that. She wore great clothes, perfect looks, and original touches. Gigi Hadid’s look from last year is another perfect example: the train being in diagonal with the side of her head where the hair was let loose, and on the other just the leg with, in diagonal, sleek back hair and no sleeve. Everything was calculated, the colours, the roundness, it was such a perfect look. But this year, Rihanna was just a girl on a costume party. And don’t get me started on those other people who now have extremely lots of money, and buy the most expensive things what have no style whatsoever. The cheapness was popping, indeed. But then, this year, and last year, Zendaya and Cara really killed it. Zendaya is the one I adore because she always is so refreshingly creative. Changing hair, people’s perceptions, not portraying a theme, but a philosophy, a way of being, a certain type of person she embodies that evening, and has her own story, beauty, opinions, life. She will never follow the rules, and still forever be superior to all those celebrities who pay for followers. Cara, on the other hand, is extremely bold. Her 2017 silver skull look was certainly the best red carpet look I’ve ever seen. She just always is so intriguing, because though we don’t know what she wears, we always stop because it is beautiful, as strange as it may seem. Cara’s look this year was just as good: extremely freeing, showing lots of skin, but everything under a net, actually not showing anything, being very “catholic”. Sad, that Anna isn’t seeing the best dressed.
I love her, so class, so professional,.so everything. I was in high fashion in the pass. For her i can work 18h the day ..and free..and learn every moment. ❤❤❤❤
Carla Lizette Well, I can see why. If all of her other necklaces are like this one she'll always look chic and expensive no matter what her clothes look like. Genius!
Anna Wintour, the queen of where everyone sits is going down. The fashion is gonna be on the streets. It's gonna be more conscious, more different and freed from brands. Anna, imagine the future and run faster.
thinks makes me feel like that one friend at the table who didn't go to the event, and everyone there is talking about how great it was and what happened, and you're just sitting there wishing you could relate... :\
This woman is simply amazing, to be able to get all these people in one room running to look their best and everything to look so perfectly placed, woow just woow. Great interview, she seems so relax even after not getting much sleep after such an event.
You got the best table man. She seriously loves you
Who doesn't love Stephen?!💖

“You’re like a hot water bottle “ wow let’s start with awkwardness.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Anna loves wit and a sense of humor... as you can well see here. After all, Stephen and his wife were sat at Anna's table!
For someone with so much power in the fashion industry, she looks quite shy...
spaceboy2095 what the fuck does this even mean.
wandarah That normally when you have some power you're much more assertive and confident than what she appears to be in the video...
Steady on spaceboy- pace yourself for the really big issues or your going to exhaust yourself.
She's not in her element. But don't be fooled, she could still kill anyone in that room.
Helgali How? And, here, She reminds me of the Meryl Streep character in The Post
I think that Anna Wintour should do more press about the Met Gala and her exclusive fashion events because I never know why she does these events and I am interested in fashion. Anna is so well spoken and precise. I could listen to her for hours.
Once you get past her face-melting, cold, heartless burns, she's actually quite cute.

couldn't get past 😂

No, but the designer is talented
I think it's hideous. Each to their own I guess.
She's honestly one of the most iconic people of the century, her attributes to fashion, journalism and pop culture as a whole are so superior
...that's what she tells everyone......
NO CAPES!
That's Edith Head!
Really? Always assumed character was based on Wintour
Anna Wintour is a fashion journalist while Edith Head was an Oscar Winning costume designer. Here's her picture: imgur.com/gallery/ael0p
It's not definitive but both Edith Head and Anna Wintour are said to have inspired the character Edna.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAH Edna Mode...
He gave his hands. She dint even care. I can't even....
But I think it's just because she's generally a little reserved. I don't think she dislikes him.
Come on really
If she had, someone would accuse him of forcing her. Can’t please everyone.
She's actually a very shy person
omg u guys are always so harsh on her why do y'all hate her so much

She is so classy and amazing. I could listen to her talk for hours.
She always has the most amazing bob hair style. It's immaculate.
I kinda like that shy, withdrawn demeanor she carries. She's actually quite an attractive lady.
Anna was really lovely in this interview because she is talking about something she clearly loves and is happy in it's recent success. I feel I am a similar character.

Two things:
1. My fave look of this year’s gala was from Kate Bosworth, who wore what I interpreted to be Mary Mother of God/girl having her first communion.

She partially ruined it with her ego

I think it’s hilarious that father Martin told her he didn’t get enough to eat 😂😂
Anna's knowledge with everybody's designer info is fantastic.
Priyanka chopra dress was amazing not too dramatic not to down, amalgamation of two culture.
I was really surprised no one was "outraged" by the theme.
Oh a lot of people were
MADONNA !!!! QUEEN OF POP
The best met theme everyone came wearing something great
And the young Pope was not invited?
Viviana Schejtman seriously. If Jude Law went in costume as Pope Pious that would’ve been the best thing ever.
Katy Perry’s giant angel wings were pretty cool though.

I am in love with Anna Wintour's necklace!
Lorri J That is Anna’s favorite thing to wear in her outfits, statement necklaces !
Carla Lizette Well, I can see why. If all of her other necklaces are like this one she'll always look chic and expensive no matter what her clothes look like. Genius!
Bravo Luca Uhh you can love any or, if not all possessions that is owned by you.
Anna Wintour, the queen of where everyone sits is going down. The fashion is gonna be on the streets. It's gonna be more conscious, more different and freed from brands. Anna, imagine the future and run faster.
It just struck me how I've never actually heard her talk before.
thinks makes me feel like that one friend at the table who didn't go to the event, and everyone there is talking about how great it was and what happened, and you're just sitting there wishing you could relate... :\
I clicked just to see her without her glasses 🤣
Her hair is so goooood😍😍😍😍
Super funny. Colbert wanted to make fun of the event but just couldn’t.
Anna is one of us, *Scorpio*... warm hands, cold heart. 💕
She sounds like Victoria Beckham
Well they are British..
Love Anna Wintour ❤
Priyanka Chopra was looking exactly as the theme said *heavenly* ...
she needs a podcast her voice is so nice
Jenners and Kardashian were the worst tbh
thats not tbh ..the tbh is they all looked good
Emerald Austin HAHA..That's a funny joke!
Emerald Austin Such a great comeback! Like it hasn't been seen for more than a million times already!
Emerald Austin A busy person wasting their time replying to people on TH-cam? Makes sense..
They all looked good..just not dressed properly according to the theme ..let’s please just stop making the small glasses a thing 🙄
Anna Wintour is adorable 😍
we're lucky enough that their take on the phrase "catholic imagination" was actually tame knowing how stereotypically repressed we are 😂😂
Such an ICON!! Queen!
My unpopular opinion: Lilly Collins was my favourite. Very simple, no studs, stones or colours needed. Just her regal beauty.
Her dress! 😍

Oh boy.....
This woman is simply amazing, to be able to get all these people in one room running to look their best and everything to look so perfectly placed, woow just woow. Great interview, she seems so relax even after not getting much sleep after such an event.
Wow she is a really nice lady!
Anna outfit.. loving it..
Zendaya as Joan of Arc was the best imo.
Oh nice Anna, wearing a dress from Deicide's album Once upon a cross. Magnificent tribute
only if you are Amal Clooney 😂😂
Love her outfit and boots.
