    Thank you for the "tip" to leave the camera for half a second between the points, very helpful! You're the only one on TH-cam making reviews about this gimbal and they're all very helpful!

    Excellent video! My AK2000 is being delivered tomorrow and I'm watching all of the tutorial videos I can find. (B&H Photo Video has the gimbal on sale for US$299, plus they're adding the Follow Focus 2 for free.) I had seen about the auto rotation feature and planned to use it for waterfall and other landscape shots, but had no idea you could set points in between! Can't wait to try it out - thanks!

    Graeme, thanks for your brilliant videos on the AK2000. When you have a spare moment, would you be able to post some clips to give an idea on how fast or slow pans look when using auto rotation. I am getting the idea that this gimbal could be a great addition to my gear for videoing aircraft at Manchester or Birmingham (although auto rotation for b-roll only).

    The stop points thing seems incredibly useful, but the registering of each point seems a bit vague. Is there any way of having a beep when it's registered a stop point?

    this helped me! I just did some timelapse testing with my ak2000 and couldn't figure out why it didn't follow my movement exactly from point A to point B. It randomly went it a few directions at the end. I know why now lol. There's no way to re-play the exact auto rotation movement consecutive times is there? So you could do a motion control type shot.

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography
      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Repeatable moves would be a great idea but I think that's something that will be coming to their next product called Qing

  • @AppleExpeditionProductions

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography

      You'd have to mount the ninja onto the the gimbal handle and run a soft cable up to the camera. It'll hold the Sony I think but do check as your lenses will obviously add more weight

    Is there any preparation for moving the gimbal for points A and B? (certain mode?) I have seen your other responses that there is some resistance, but I feel like mine has a LOT of resistance. As you said in this video, I do have settings for the time in the top two, but not the bottom (because I am doing video), but are you absolutely sure that I can just yank the axis to the side haha
    Were you not connected to the app in this video? Have you done it while connected to the app, and had success?

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography
      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't use this gimbal anymore but i do recall there being the normal amount of resistance to it being moved. You'llnot do any harm to moving the arms as the motors are not geared or anything so you'll not do any damage. It would only harm the gimbal if you held the arms in place for a long time

    Great videos about the ak2000. Thanks. I am wondering whether you can put a regular 501 plate on the Gimbal instead of the one from Feiyutech. It has an awkward higher level on the back of it - do not know what this is good for.

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography
      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you do not mind to help. If I'm trying to do a video, and leave Int & Dwell at 0, and when establish my start and end of rotation, what shall I choose as for shooting mode? I tried both, video and photo, but nothing is being recorded. Gimble just following those movements and nothing recorded. Appreciate it.

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography
      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only ever used it in video mode. Once you've set your movements simply press record on your camera and start the moves on the gimbal. You can plug a cable from the gimbal to the camera but never really trusted it

  • @starhopping6724
    @starhopping6724 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    What I don't understand is why you can't just do an auto rotation with it stopping at the end without it immediately returning to it's "home" location. For instance, my main purpose is to do landscape videos. If I want to pan a river and end at it's waterfall I want to linger at the end to take it in for a moment NOT immediately return to starting position. Why can't it just end at the ending point? And I guess a work around would be to end the sequence direction where you powered on from but then you must be exactly right or it will slightly move which is unacceptable. Am I missing something? Thanks for the videos, very helpful.

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography
      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, you are correct, there is no option to fix this and that workaround is a pain, I've tried it :) I'd suggest writing an email to service@feiyu-tech.com to highlight the issue. I've done it too.

    Unfortunatelly the AK2000s removed that feature. Only motion timelapse enabled, you cannot set 0 to interval and dwell value. Or I missed something?

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography
      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just had to dig out my AK2000, update the firmware and get it set up to test this for you :) I just selected the auto rotation mode and as before I just set my start and end points of off it goes. If you use the app then it doesn't let you set the dwell but you can still set the interval and dwell to 0 on the gimbal itself
