I stopped breathing from illness, and my 2 dogs rolled me onto my back. Then, amazingly, my female jumped on my chest and got me breathing again. I woke up to them standing over me. They had no such training. Animals are truly amazing. I love my beasties!!!

My ex adopted a young cat. He was pretty cool until my ex wrecked his motorcycle and fractured his clavicle. We waited tables so he couldn’t work for a while. He was home all day, every day for weeks. When he went back to work the cat HATED me. He would trip me down the stairs, run up and claw me for no reason. IDK why he thought I took him away but he was complete hell after that.

When I was a kid, my dog used to protect me against bullies in my neighborhood, and she would come and comfort me when I came home from school crying. She really was my very best friend! ❤️🥰 It's been 21 years now and I still miss her and think about her often. ❤️

My aunt and uncles dog has been trained as a police dog, but didn't 'graduate' (he was deemed too friendly) and was 'retired'. I lived with them for a year when I was a young teen, and was home alone one day after school. I was doing homework upstairs and I saw the dog suddenly get up (he was next to me) and rush downstairs. And then heard the front door open and my uncles voice. My uncle told me what happened on his end. He'd come home earlier than normal, and as he opened the door, he heard the dog growl, but the moment the dog realized who it was, he stopped growling and his tail wagged. My uncle was so surprised; this dog was the sweetest dog ever, and hardly even barked loudly, even though he was a German Shepherd.
This dog believed an intruder was entering the house, and was ready to protecc his humans. He was the best boy

I have a service dog for low blood sugar alert. Whilst visiting my sister and her family, the 3-year-old was trying to go out an open door. My dog got between the child and the door and pushed him away, and then closed the door so he couldn’t try to go out again. What a good boy!
Wonderful that your pet has the protective instinct, on top of the trained support for you!
I ran a large warehouse and was approached by a police officer from the K-9 unit. He asked if they could use the warehouse after hours to train 12 new dogs on our slippery surface. Of course my answer was "Yes, as long as I can be here and see it!" It was really enlightening. They had a person dress in protective dog attack gear go hide while each dog one by one went and got him. The poor guy was attacked at least 50 times that night. It was cut short when one dog bound over some boxes to pull this guy off a shelf 10 feet high. The poor guy broke his wrist. 4 of the dogs just couldn't handle the slippery floors and had to have more training. The rest moved on to the next level of training which I never saw.
It is one of my coolest memories.

One thing I really like about this video, is that it show that a cat can be as much of a protector as a dog. It mentioned the dog who was trained to sense a low sugar attack in the kid, but I have another amazing story.
I am a diabetic on a high concentration of insulin. My main problem is that usually when I do go low sugar, it is in the middle of the night when I am asleep. One of my cats will literally wake me up from my sleep (usually by licking the same spot on my forehead until it is red and hurting or by licking my eyelid) and not allow me to fall back asleep. After my mind realizes what is going on, and I take care of my sugar problem, she will let me fall back asleep.
This has been a life savor, as a few of the time my sugar has been 35 and below. My diabetic doctor is amazed I am conscious, yet alone alert enough, to take my sugar and sugar tablets in these instances. Most people have a hard time functioning when their sugar gets below 50 - 55 and below 40 most people are unconscious. In fact, when my sugar is in the low 30s and mid/high 20s, I have been told I should be dead. Yet, somehow I survive and I am able to bring my sugar up, all thanks to being woken up by my cat. TO ME THE MOST AMAZING THING IS THAT SHE WAS NEVER TRAINED OR TAUGHT TO DO THIS, it is just her instinct. In fact when I mentioned this to my diabetic doctor, she said that it was the first time she has heard of a cat doing something like this and that I should never get rid of the cat.

Hey! Glad you’re doing alright and have pets that appreciate and love you. I’m a type 1 too, when you get below 30 those are scary scary times - I need a new pump but I’m thinking about getting a cat first that can moderate my sugar. Good luck with everything and keep that A1C healthy 👍🏼
Apparently the cat knows that around the eyes is a very tender spot for humans. My grandma's cats were incredible, but never did anything like that. I pray your cat has a good long life, like my Mittens did. They really are amazing creatures.
It's amazing what cats can do, I've read a few stories like that and how the cats then seem super pleased with themselves as their mission have been a success.

Close where I live a stray dog saved a girl from be r*ped, she going to her house after her shift and suddenly a man attacked her, the dog didn't think twice and bite the man and follow him for a while after he escaped. Animals are truly amazing.
I once was followed home by a man. I was cleaning my horse Rockstar’s stall and he was tied up. The man enter my barn and tried to attack me. My horse noticed and broke out of his halter and attacked the man. I owe my life to Rockstar! ❤️

I know of another story involving a horse. A woman was checking on a newborn calf, and the mother cow didn't like that and charged at her. The woman's horse saw it happening and broke out of his pen and put himself between the woman and the cow until she was able to get to the other side of the fence and get help. And I know that horses will also try to protect their rider in the event that they start to fall for whatever reason.

I had a grand mal seizure when I was 12 while swimming at a lake with family. I had drifted too far out when it started and I began to drown. Thank god my uncles two German Shepards were there because within 30 seconds they were in the water charging for me and managed to pull me up and out of the water father enough that I could breathe and alerted my family allowing them to help pull me to safety. One of them, Helios recently passed and my heart still aches because I became very attached to them and the other Harmony is on her way out and I know I’ll be even more devastated then. They truly saved my life.
Horses are amazingly loyal and protective. I had 2 men that stopped in their car and were verbally threatening me, as I was riding along the roadside. One of them tried to get out of the car and my mare swung around and kicked out at him so hard, that he shut his door and they took off.

I love your horse.
In the 90's I worked in a small bistro owned by the owners of a restaurant next door. We had a small company party at a discotheque nearby. When I wanted to go home at 2 a.m., my boss told his cook to drive me the 3 kilometers home. Once there, right in front of my mother's bedroom window, the chef tried to touch me. When I tried to avoid him he got rough, tried to force a kiss and then tried to roll onto me. He held my arms tight. I was frozen and in panic because i realized i couldn't reach the door opener. Suddenly there was a tinny bang in front of us and the cook let go of me and cried out briefly. I immediately grabbed the door opener and let myself fell out of the car. But before that I heard wild and super loud hissing and saw my cat Jovi, who stared menacingly trough the windshield, with a hump, directly into the man's eyes, with yellow blazing eyes (reflection from the little light). I never ever had seen her do this bevore. The moment I fell out of the car, she jumped off the hood and to my side. We ran like crazy to the front door. I was so nervous that I was afraid I wouldn't get the key in the lock and Jovi tiptoed from one leg to the other between my feet. Then we were inside and I pushed the slowly closing door shut with all my might. Jovi never ran ahead...she always stayed right with me. If I stood, she stood. When I ran, she ran right next to me. She knew EXACTLY what had happened. We were like bonny and clyde or something. We were both under high volture.
Jovi would often pick me up from my own car when I got home from work. When I was gone, she always slept with my mother and then jumped out of her always-open window. If I had a boyfriend who would take me home several times, she knew after the first time that that car noise meant I was coming. She never attacked anyone or got too close to the cars. And of course, she didn't jump on the hood.
I arrived at our apartment and my mother had just woken up. Completely breathless and full of adrenaline, I said, "Jovi just saved me! The chef from the pizzeria. I think he hurted me." (he caused me some bruises)
My mother reacted a bit confused but then said completely dry, as if it were the most normal thing in the world: "Of course she protects you." Like if i was out of my mind, to doubt that.
And yes, my cat and I had a very deep bond. After that she got a last name from me. Jovi Supercat.
Addendum: A few years later I saved her when she was lying in the sun and I was walking to the car. She looked normal. A neighbor just passed her, greeted her and didn't notice anything. I greeted her as I always did when we met outside and continued to the car. I started and drove 3-4 meters and then abruptly stopped. Something is wrong. I got out, went to her and asked "Jovi?". She turned her head towards me and mewed...but barely moved. Then I knew something wasn't right. I drove her to the vet. Lungs about 90% full of blood, badly broken sternum. Probably accident with two wheeler. After the operation and 3 days later he told me to take her home. He can do nothing more. I should please call if something changes, because his assistant, who also stayed with Jovi at night, was very much in love with my cat.^^
If she gets well, then at home, said the doctor. And so it was. I gave her water with my slightly longer fingernail (yes, she was so weak that she could not lift her head). Sometimes I lay next to her, then I gave her some alone time. She recovered quickly. After three days we went to the doctor again. When he opened her box he was stunned and said: "To be honest I lied to you. I felt so sorry for you. I didn't saw any chance of survival for Jovi. I'm completely amazed that she is doing so well. And what's more, she looks fit again after three days.Unbelievable." The doctor's assistant cried with joy.^^ True story.
Please, if you like, remember my little Jovi once or twice. She was wonderful. Everyone should have met her and knwo her.
My family's 2 dogs (Border Collies) just sat with me and comforted me when I came home from the hospital crying, watching my dad slowly die when I was 20. They knew I was in distress, and both simply nuzzled up to me on the back patio where I sat, for half an hour straight til I was Ok again. The bond between humans and dogs (and cats & horses, for sure) is almost metaphysical.
Back in the '80's, when my wife and I were on vacation out west, Lake Mead, we were relaxing at out camp site. I was inside the tent and the wife was sitting near the campfire when our Dalmatian got up and walked to the border of our site and stood there. After a few minutes a guy came out of the bushes and tried to approach. He didn't get far as Matia stood her ground and 'smiled' at him. Later a Ranger came by and said that he complained that she had tried to attack him. When the Ranger approached, she went to check him out and licked his hand. Turns out the guy was very drunk and the subject of numerous complaints of harassment, theft and physical abuse. He went to jail and Matia got a hamburger. Once when my wife was home and I was at work, she had taken our other Dalmatian, Zelda, with her on her daily walk. She had just gotten back to our house, still in the front yard when a guy approached her and asked directions and wanted to use the phone. Zelda was on a leash and she didn't like the guy at all. She tried to bite him even though he was just standing there talking. This made my wife suspicious and she told the guy our phone was out of order and that he should leave as she didn't know if she could control Zelda. 2 days later, this guy's picture was in the paper after being arrested for rape and murder. To this day, if my dogs have issues with someone, I avoid them like the plague. I miss my Dalmatians very much. Also, Dalmatians (blue-eyed) can be prone to deafness. When Zelda would have a pup that was deaf, I would teach them hand sign and give them to families with deaf children. It's amazing the effect they have on their humans that are also deaf. Many years later, I got a Pit Bull puppy. I was taking care of my mother in her late years (90) and Cinnamon got very attached to her. She would sleep at her feet and mom loved to play tug of war with her. I was completely surprised that this dog , who loved to rough-house, not to mention had looks that could induce the fear of god, was so absolutely gentle with my mother. A crank-head showed up on mom's doorstep one night naked and tried to come in the house. That was a mistake. Cinnamon hit the storm door so hard it knocked the guy down and he fled. He doesn't know how lucky he is that mom called her off. Now, at age 70 and now a widower, I have 2 (120+ pound) German Shepherds (brother and sister) and they never let me out of their sight...even if I am going to the bathroom. They will be my last dogs though, as I have this fear of dying before them and not knowing what their fate would be.

Had a Bassett Hound, was not yet fully diagnosed yet with seizures,narcolepsy & PTSD, my dog acted weird when I was leaving, so I took her with (little legs long walk) we were walking in my neighborhood when I collapsed. She sat with me not allowing anyone close till I woke up. When it happened in my home she was right by my side when I woke up. She actually acted strange when I was about to leave sometimes. That’s when my doctor said some animals can detect symptoms. I miss her every day, but she’s always watching me.
I got paid and was on set for Hot Tub Time Machine...but was not in the film. The run down log ski lodge was actually built in a studio...quite incredible.
@Arson Darksea Every day is a gift, so wake up smiling, deep breath’s, positive vibes. I have this thing that if I can make at least 5 people laugh every day I’ve brought joy into the world for someone else. (And that makes me happy) I know every day is a struggle in lots of ways but we will get through it. Live for now so you don’t have to say I should have, could have, would have. Take time to think things through before making big decisions. Don’t dwell on the past (it’s gone), and tomorrow isn’t a guarantee so be your best every day. Have a great day!

I stayed with my cousins family during a hard time. One day I suddenly had a panic attack and layed on a couch, trying to deal wih it. One of the tiny kittens that are in the house came over and layed near me, all calm. The kitten let me pet them until I calmed down finally. That was so much help. I was super thankful they were there for me

These videos of the cats really showcases how they look out for their humans more than we realize. When I was pregnant, my cat would bring me human food. A bologna sandwich from a kid at the bus stop. Steak from somebody's house still in the butcher paper and frozen. Yea, I ate that. 😁 I think he thought the kid was his. Turns out he was a better provider than the dad was. 💞

When I was 18 driving to college I had a dog run out onto the shoulder of the highway in front of me. I thought I was going to hit it. And then I saw the toddler behind him. Scared me to death. I was on a 2 lane 55mph blacktop highway. I pulled over and went over to the little boy who was about a half block from the nearest home out in the middle of nowhere country. The dog was sure happy I stopped. I think he was already tired of being a babysitter, lol. I did not have to tell him twice to get into the car! This was 1976. I got the dog and the boy in the car and drove back to the house. Grandma hadn’t even noticed he had wandered off. She was in shock and shaking when I told her what happened and that the little dog deserved a steak! I think about that little boy and dog still after all these years.

When I was born, my parents had a 120lb German Shepherd. All my grandparents told my parents to "get rid of that dangerous dog!" Thankfully, they said no, and Fritz became extremely protective of me, and never once attempted to hurt me.

The dog who was missing her nose actually made me cry. Animals are so beautiful and loving! All these stories are about how these animals without hesitation put there person first to protect them. Even humans don’t do that.

I would for my dog lexi. She is 12 yrs. I swear I have PTSD about out living her .I can't even let my mind start to go there i start having a panic attack. It's been her and i 99% of 12 years alone together. She goes everywhere with me .

I took care of my elderly parent for many years. About a year ago, I checked on my Dad one night and after tending to him, decided to go watch a movie on the other end of the house. About 15 mins later he evidentially fell, yelled for me (but that time I didn’t hear him). Our dog & cat came to the room I was in banging on the door. I went to open the door & they both jumped me knocking me down & making lots of noise. As I got up they behaved as they do when they want me to follow them so I did. Didn’t get far before I finally heard my Dad & our furr babies making sure I was running behind them to show me my Dad on the floor. THANK GOD I was able to get him up & told him they came to get me for him. It was really something.

@@lulumoon6942 ; oh he was & his spirits were immediately elevated when I told him how our furr babies came to get me & brought me to him. We just lost my Dad a couple months ago. He was mid-nineties & so spoiled by all of us it was downright funny. He’d often say he was the ONLY family ‘OLD FART’; the rest of us were mere smart asses..lol. What a DAD...What a MAN!
Just shows how amazing and valuable dogs really are to us humans. Dogs have been helping us humans for many thousands of years making them our closest companions compared to any other species on the planet, and to see them continue to help us in so many different ways can bring a tear to one's eye, specially in those situations when they give their life to save ours.
3:10 that cat is a gangsta! Ppl don’t understand how protective cats can be. As young children’s our cats used to kill snakes in the yard, deadly snakes, taipans, king browns… u name it (I’m in far north Australia so we have majority of the deadliest snakes here) they would risk their own life to keep us safe, even fighting off neighbourhood dogs. Would even follow us at night walking 30m behind us… I swear it was to make sure we were safe. Rip tiddles and tomessa u gave us a great childhood, safe from snakes ;)
I have a picture of my grandfather and a German Shepherd he had with him in World War 2 and that dog is the reason for every member of every generation that came after my grandpa. Story is something happened to the truck he was driving and it turned over then caught on fire. My grandfather was knocked unconscious and would have died but the Shepherd was able to drag him clear. He spent some time in a British hospital and had bad headaches most of his life because of it. Had it not been for the German Shepherd, my mom, aunt, uncle, cousins, brother and his two kids, my cousin's kids, we would have never been. Gives me chills every time I get to tell that story.

My mom told me that when I was a baby, in Scotland, my best babysitters were my Nana's 2 cats. They would set me in my pram in the sunshine (I had jaundice) and the cats wouldn't leave me until it was time to go inside. One was in the pram with me, the other hid underneath. Nobody could get close to me except my mom and Nana, not even my dad.

I tried to foster a German Shepard but the fireworks scared him away and I had to take him back to the shelter.
Before I was born and my brother was a toddler. Our parents owned a python called Monty and he was outside in the yard with my brother. A guy came into the yard and tried to snatch my brother but Monty wasn't having it. He placed himself between my brother and the guy , He hissed and snapped until the guy left and Monty tried to chase after him. I'm not a fan of snakes but Monty was great if it wasn't for him my brother would have been kidnapped.

I think the best part of this collection is the reactions of the cats. You expect that sort of thing from dogs but cats never cease to amaze me. For their size they’re very, very gutsy…
My husband had a lab when we met. Initially, she would only listen to him but over time she became attached to me, as I was the one who fed her most often. To anyone who has had a lab, you know what this means. One day we were play fighting and he said “Get her” playfully. She ran between us, FACED HIM, and protected me. If we were walking and someone gave me the willies, it would be the only time her hackles went up. Dogs are hardwired to protect the pack and once they adopt you, from the biggest mastiff to the tiniest teacup, heaven help anyone who interferes with the food delivery system.

My daughters father got a border collie dog for himself but it became attached to me instead of him. He would only go potty for me and no one else. Any time anyone in the house including my daughters father got mad at me this dog would bark and growl at them. He slept on my chest and behind my neck when I laid down. He protected my child and I. I miss him.

The cat rescuing her human from 'drowning' had me in stitches. My cat Sam was fully prepared to jump in with me - until he realized I wasn't. He turned around in mid-jump and pretended to wash himself.
My little chihuahua mix didn’t initially like the water, until he realized that our lab, whom he loved, did. First, he would try to rescue everyone, tugging on her by her ruff, and once jumping on me while I was swimming laps. Eventually, he started swimming himself but without webbed feet could never quite keep up.
That is cat for "I meant to do that. Been practicing for weeks."

What an amazing dog! Not only pulled the child out of the water, but went back in to retrieve her toy.
But it's fake. Yes the dog is doing it, it's great, but it's trained to do it. It's not something done out of nowhere just to be nice.

Advice for the young girl...or any young folks that get scared of Coyotes. Don't leave your dog on the leash and run away. Coyotes are scared of you, not scared of your dog. Stand your ground and make a lot of noise and the coyote will not attack. You are essentially allowing them to eat your dog if you drop the leash and run away.

I worked a night shift and had to walk home at 1am. My husband, at the time, had a Great Dane he sent to escort me home the 5 blocks from home.
Got accosted by 2 men asking me "What a pretty girl was doing walking alone"! The Dane was black and was out of the light. One whistle and he he knocked one to the ground and sat on his chest. The other one ran away! He would never have hurt the guy, but I scared him by saying, "One word and he'll tear your throat out"!
Never saw anyone run so fast!
My mother was always more of a dog person, while my dad was a cat person (I'm both). My mother was given a rescue dog that was taken from an abusive household and was a Chih-wiener (a chihuahua/dachshund cross). One day, my dad was in a sort of bad mood and yelled at my mother. Missy jumped down from her chair and began barking at my dad, telling him he did not yell at her.
My dad had a seal point Siamese that he had found as a very young kitten wandering around in a blizzard, but none of our neighbors knew whose it was, so he brought her home and adopted her (her first meal was some split pea and ham soup, that she devoured) that he named Muttley. Being somewhat disabled, my dad would sit in his recliner watching TV, while she lay on his chest, where she would nap, or he would play with her. If he would cough for any reason, or if he fell asleep and would stop breathing (due to sleep apnea), she would be right there to check to see if he was okay (in the case where he coughed), or to wake him up (in the apnea cases). He was totally devestated when she died, and had her cremated, keeping her ashes until his own death from 4th stage cancer that was not diagnosed until it was too late (I suspect she knew), and her ashes were placed in his urn, along with her picture, and she was buried with him, as Missy was done with Mother's urn, so they would all be together throughout Eternity. There was so much love between them. I miss them all.

When my dad was young he was sleeping in his freands house when a candle burned down and the room caught fire. The friends dog, a border collie mix named Luffsan, woke them up and saved them from burning inside. I owe my life to that dog 🙏 I would not exist today if it wasn't for her.

I rescued an abandoned cat years ago it was to be negative 10 degrees that night ( Atlanta) and I let the cat in my apartment and Kitty lived for 17 years. Kitty saved me twice. First time -I had sinus infection and bronchitis and was running a high fever and I tried everything to get my temperature down ( I am a RN) and I remember that It was 32 degrees that night and I remember thinking I should just go outside.I was Very restless and coughing. I tried to lay down on the bed face down to try to get the mucus to move so I could cough it out. Kitty jumped up and sat on the lower region of my lungs and cranked up her body heat and was purring so hard that the bed was shaking. A few minutes after that I felt the mucus shift and I was able to cough up the mucus plug! And a few minutes later my fever broke and Kitty was glued to my side. I realized that she hadn't been there and did what she did I might have died! I thanked her and she then just slept near me in the bed and had a normal purr. Second time - I worked nights and I was on the top floor of the apartment and had a small balcony, and I was up watching TV at 3 am. The cat started growling and jumped up and had both paws around the front door knob. I looked through the peep hole and this man was all dressed in black with a ski mask and was trying to break the door jam with a crow bar! I had nowhere to go! I called the apartment security and they chased the guy off,but didn't catch him. The security guy called the police and they increased patrols for the apartment complex. Cats can be as brave and loyal as dogs! My last cat Koshka died in February and I miss her so much! I had CV 19 and was hospitalized for a month, and when I came home she hugged me and licked my face and purred so loud and I know she missed me too. I am a new diabetic and use a continuous blood sugar monitor, and Koshka would meow and fuss at me for a low blood sugar,Before the monitor would alarm!

We have a Chihuahua called Scooter. Occasionally I have to take him out late at night to pee.
One evening, he was scratching on our bedroom door so I got up to take him out. He ran straight to our son's bedroom and jumped on his bed. I called Scooter but he wouldn't leave my son's bed. It turned out that my son had a fever of 41 degrees Celsius / 105.8 F but was still asleep. We managed to drop the fever but we would never have responded in time if Scooter hadn't woken us.

I've heard of a similar story, where a family had recently adopted a dog, and one night he hopped up on the bed and started crying, whining, & shaking, and that got the owner's attention, so they started checking out the house and when they got to their infant daughter's room, they found that she had outright stopped breathing. They immediately called 911, and thanks to the dog alerting them, their little girl survived.
*Never* underestimate pets. They're far smarter than people give them credit for. There have been plenty of cases where an animal has saved a person's life.
Another story I remember involved a woman who had been out hiking with her dog when she slipped off of a ledge and wound up on a small rock outcropping on a cliff with a broken leg and only her dog there with her. The dog immediately realized she needed help, so she ran off to the nearest road and kept making noise to draw attention, and then when someone finally stopped, the dog led them right back to the trapped woman. And as a result, that person was able to call 911 so that the woman could be airlifted (with her furry savior) to the nearest hospital for treatment.
@@almightyrocket2464 It was the highest I had ever seen too. I used to be a firefighter/EMT so while I was working to get the fever down, my wife was in contact with the emergency responder with the ambulance service just in case. It was a long night since we needed to watch him so closely after we got the fever under control.
He slept through most of the night so we have no idea what caused it since most times it would be an ear infection or virus that would have the kid feeling poorly and unable to sleep.
This is why dogs make great medical assistance animals. They are incredible!
My senior dog, a teacup chihuahua, was on a walk with my mom at night and when they were about to head inside but a coyote came near them and tried to come inside but my dog chased it off and we are all still amazed today.

The dog with the coyote wasn’t trying to save anyone but it’s self. The girl let go of the dog which left them completely alone to fight against it. That’s just the way I see things
Agree! I would have never left my pet for dead if there was a slight chance for me to fight it off. Never run from a coyote, but rather make yourself big and very loud.

My daughter is 9 and I don't even let her play out in our yard by herself! There are pedophiles/kidnappers everywhere and I never take chances with my children! Some people may think I'm over protective or too protective, but when it comes to my children, there is no such thing as me being too protective! I'd rather be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to my precious children! My son is 19 so he can take care of himself, but still if anyone messes with him, I will turn into a mama bear protecting her cubs!

@Dustin Soyier I thought the same, I had a similar situation with a big dog attacking mine and not once it ever cross my mind to leave him, we were both fighting and bitting, eventually the other dog left us alone but yeah, she doesn't deserve that dog. I was actually mad at her

Seeing animals help humans with epilepsy warms my heart and moved me into tears. I sometimes still have seizures so I know what it feels like.

I have epilepsy myself, and I had a seizure on the side of the road. Thankfully there was a car passing by that saw me go down and called the paramedics for me while in the middle of my episode. I wish whomever it was stayed until I became fully conscious and aware, so I could thank them. I had gotten a decent lump from striking my head on a rather large rock on the side of the road and had a concussion from it.
It's real shit to see someone pass by like that when I've been in that position myself.

I love my animals…they’ve helped me, emotionally, overcome metastatic breast cancer. I’m a stage 4, 13 year survivor. I was diagnosed at age 45 with 20 tumors.
All of these are beautiful. It gives us just a very small glimpse of the powerful intellect of our Creator, who made all these creatures & us. Thank you Lord for enriching our lives with animals, and the protective characteristics that they show toward their offspring and the humans they are fond of.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but rather the size of the fight in the dog!

Except this was a case where the owner, who is at no risk from the coyote, abandoned the little dog to take its chances against the coyote. Fortunately it survived, no thanks to the owner.
Wtf didn't she pick up the Yorkie and run?!? Coyotes especially on their own go for easy prey which in this case was the poor little Yorkie. Grrrrr this just made me angry!

A few years ago, I had very severe colitis. I was in such bad shape from blood loss and shock, I fainted just trying to move from the bathroom to the bedroom. I really took a tumble. I'm not sure how long it took for me to become aware again, but my kitty and my Blu Heeler were right beside me, both so worried. My kitty was sitting between my legs, and my dog was right by my side. I believe they were the only reason I was able to reach my bed. I still had to go to the ER and be hospitalized, but the love and protection from my two protectors helped me recover.

I had colitis when I was young, sometimes felt faint from the pain, but never was in such a bad shape from blood loss. 😨 I hope your colitis will get less and less over the years, it does happen. My cat visited me again in my dream. I miss her so much. I could feel her, I could actually feel her. it felt like her. She was so lovely, I felt overwhelming joy. I love her soo much. She visited me the second time to comfort me. I was really say and missed her so much I cried, she came and visited me. She's waiting for me on the other side. I will always miss her. I will always miss my first cat too. I don't know what influenced me to spend more time with her a week before she died. Something influenced me, like I knew something.

I’ll never understand how a dog can “feel” the blood sugar drop in a person. It’s amazing what they can do.
They SMELL it! They even use old shirts worn by someone who had low blood sugar to train the dogs because the smell is still on it.
I have a cat that started meowing and pawing at me when my blood sugar got over 150 or under 80. If I didnt pay attention to him he would start to gently nip at my arm. No one had to train him to do it he started doing it all on his own.
Not feel. Smell. Their sense of smell is 10,000 times that of human's.
Dogs can smell cancers, pregnancy and all sorts of other things. Some seizure dogs can even alert their humans ~before~ the seizure starts!
Meanwhile, my dog walks into glass doors 🙄😆

I had a somewhat intense situation once where I came across a toddler outdoors unsupervised (along a main road). As I was trying to communicate with her and figure out the situation, I noticed she had a medium-large sized dog right around the corner that was clearly staring me down. Thankfully, the girl's mother came FLYING out of her house in a panic and recovered the child. So I didn't need to try to approach the girl and get all bit up by the well-meaning dog lol
…LOL. This is how I met one of my closest friends; via runaway yowens. She still groans about that. It was one of those, I swear I’m not a bad mother, moment. And she’s not. Her three week old had open-heart surgery recently and she had fallen asleep holding him for all of about five minutes. The four and five-year-old decided that was a wonderful time to visit the new neighbor… She came flying out of the house and right past my house. I hollered at her and calmed her down and that was nine years ago. The baby who had heart surgery is now a very active very healthy little boy.

@@DrymarchonShaun the dog thought he was saving his owner, he doesn’t know which snakes are fine and if it had bad intentions or not. But he just chucked it across the field into some bushes, I’m quite certain it was fine. He didn’t sit a chew it up or anything.
@@gsxrgirl2007 well then the owner is at fault and should have done snake avoidance classes. The dog did exactly what dogs instinctually do to kill small animals; grab it and then shake it around to break it's neck, it just so happened to slip out of the dogs mouth.
I only ever, very briefly, didn't have at least one dog in my household. The brief time I didn't was due to being required to live in the barracks when I first joined the navy. Outside of that I've ALWAYS had at least one dog; usually multiple dogs, cats, snakes, fish and reptiles. Dogs, especially, are the only living creatures on the planet that regularly give legitimate unconditional love.
We've always had multi pup families as well. They kept me company thru illnesses and the loss of my entire family. Incredible how much they always mean to me!

The Yorkie was the bravest of them all. Coyote are vicious and dangerous but manage to help his owner despite that he has a leash. Amazing 👏🏼

I just went through losing a lung to cancer from radiation treatments this winter and my two cats wouldn’t leave my side, they’d even argue over who got the choice spot on my lap. Now that I’m cancer free they’ve been off doing their kitty things 😂😂

I was rear-ended in my Jeep a while back. I had my extra large German Wirehair (120 lbs) in the car with me. The other driver left the scene so I was stuck on the side of the road waiting for the police and tow truck. A man pulled up in a van and got out. At first I thought he was there to help. He was not. He grabbed my arm and tried to pull me into his van. My hero dog stepped from behind me and advanced on the man, rumbling his most intimidating growl. The man let go and took off hastily. My dog stood there rumbling till he was out of sight. I miss that dog. He was so smart and protective.

All those furry little guys impressed me, I actually have an awesome little best friend that quite possibly saved my life, she kept smelling my chest and would actually hold me down to do it, she had never done that before, only cuddle up with me but when she started doing that and she was REALLY persistent about it it got me wondering why so I had some test done and come to find out I had early stages of lung cancer, the doctor said we caught it early enough that my chances were GREATLY improved to be able to beat it, I truly love that dog

Yeah, I have a hundred stories. After 9/11 during rescue efforts rescue dogs got depressed and couldn’t work because they weren’t finding people alive. My heart broke
To everyone commenting about the coyote clip... 1) It's a wildlife tracking collar, not a shock collar or sign of ownership, and 2) The owner is a 10 YEAR OLD! Give her a break... she was probably terrified over the encounter, and it's all too easy to watch from an outside perspective and say you would've been braver. Also, you can clearly see she is also calling/yelling for help.

wife had major heart attack. small dogs, and especially cats. 10 to 12 pound heroes. our cat can press 911. then yowls. we had 4 big firefighters spoiling him with treats and snuggles. once in a lifetime cat. Baxter! had to replace the front door though.

@@BB-wh1nr he got stressed one day and knocked the landline set out of the cradle. with hours of patience and lots of treats he learned to step on the buttons with a sharpie square around them (9 and 1) until a human voice came on. this took a *long time* and eventually almost got me in trouble for 911 abuse. cat's will do anything for treats. we've trained him to do other cool stuff, as well--we're talking months or years here.
