what a lot of people don't know is that the members actually did the first draft of the choreo themselves and then worked on refining it with choreographers ^^
the concept of the song is basically liberation and to give into your instincts, the mv also has almost paradise feels so i think the wardrobe matches that quite nicely, sexuality doesn't always have to be dark imo ^^ in this case it's more freeing and almost happy i guess? sexuality isn't supposed to be something sinful but something beautiful, at least that's the vibes i get from this comeback ^^
When this was released the international fans lost their sh*t (in a good way) but the korean public nearly made a scandal out of it. They're sadly still really conservative. That's also why they don't show so much skin. On music shows only a certain amount is allowed for man while some woman have to wear skirts so short their safety pants are showing. The hypocrisy... In this aspect South Korea really has a long way to go.
I'm reminded of that "one nipple rule" by reading this... Also when A.C.E got criticised for the hot pants in their debut outfits but female idols wear them all the time.
Oddly enough, the suit stage version was sexier in my opinion then the ones with less material on their bodies. Looked like a secret office romance. 😏 They also had to change certain aspects of the choreo to play with the ties on their necks and the jackets of their suits.
Okay, but you NEED to do dOra maar. The choreo for that is SICK. Also their cover choreos are next level. ETA: In re: the prop tape measure - the prop itself caused a number of technical issues, and because the prop itself was unreliable, they didn't do a lot with it. If you watch some of the stages, you can see them break, fail to retract properly, etc. There's one stage where Nine (the one who does the crotch grab) is darn near strangled because the prop malfunctions and one where Junji's (the one with the long hair) won't extend, so the ending had to be changed on the fly. They were using a blackened retractable tailor's tape - and I think not having a well-engineered, dedicated prop impacted the choreo use of the prop.
Can't wait for this to be posted! But I really hope you check out the MV and look up the concept for the song. It's definitely a song you are going to want to understand the meaning of to better understand and appreciate the choreography!
Fun fact: onlyoneof made the original choreo and then had choreographers help them polish it. They also had to tone down the gay vibes in the choreo bc South Korea is very conservative and doesn't like anything that promotes lgbtqi+. Also, onlyoneof love to change up their partner choreography on stage, especially to this one. It would be awesome to see your reaction to their dance cover to Malamente (if I remember correctly, they made the choreo for it) th-cam.com/video/B5N13-pZpyg/w-d-xo.html
I waited 72 days for this reaction !!!!!!!!!!!! I actually found OnlyOneOf two years ago .... Junji (the long haired idol) was the first one I noticed ...... But my brain proved that it has the memory equivalent to that of a fish and I forgot both the group's and the song's name...... Now exactly 72 days ago , I was scrolling through your content to check your upcoming reactions and saw this group ...... I was hella confident that this is the one group I have been searching for so long bcoz I recognised Junji !!!!!!!!! That day , I was soooo happy .... Like I was literally jumping up and down on my bed ...... I checked libidO out and I was shookt !!!! The song I saw two years ago had a playful vibe but this !!!! THIS was completely opposite of that vibe !!!!!!!!! To summarise , I wanted to say..... Thank you !!!!!!! I felt like I found my lost love after giving up on searching for them .............. 😭😭😭....... LOVE your reactions !!!!!!! ♥️♥️♥️
omg im so excited, i just found you through your reaction to enhypen's drunk-dazed and I'm so happy you're reacting to one of my other favourite boy groups
I’ve seen someone say the choreo is sexy but not trashy and I agree with it. I wish they had use that rope more but it also does seem difficult to handle… It was definitely the embodiment of sex appeal and libido They sure shocked us all with the whole concept though
Love the review. On some Kmusic shows they make guys wear a thin shirt. I think it’s worthwhile to see the video. They wear light green outfits and dance outside in the video and it’s beautiful.
If you'd like to watch a performance video with black wardrobe there's the Guilty Pleasure version of the music video: th-cam.com/video/WdI0uAnTe9M/w-d-xo.html
They are incredibly talented boys!!!! They produce and choreograph most of their songs! Of someone is interested they should listen to more of their music and not just stay with this "scandal"
I'm not sure of the timeline but they were getting a lot of flack for being too sexy on their initial variety stages so they probably had to tone down their wardrobe for later stages
I know they toned down the uh, big move for a few shows, but I understand that it wasn’t because of censorship, but because one of the members got TOO enthusiastic and hurt the other. He needed a few days to recover!
@@dowdydiva so I’m not sure if the reason for the change was censorship or the smack, But Nine did really smack Love in the crotch too hard.. He did it two times too, Love had no reaction the first performance he got smacked too hard, but the second time he let out a squeak.. Nine was really proud of himself for that too… He’s a little gremlin sometimes..
I love they show sexuality -- so many skirt it in video's -- if that is the song, then show it -- I am tired of the groups dressing and acting like 13-year-old schoolboys or girls. I know some may like it, but not for me. TY for covering this.
I definitely feel like the shirts under were for the safety of the actual members bc some of them are actually like younger, like 18-20 years old so deffo for minor safety

So controversial for conservative South Korea, I love it...
The guilty pleasure version is a must watch
thanks paris2korea!

i like your take on it
LMAOO don't worry they were very shirtless for the jacket photoshoot
you pointing out the two idiots joking around with their reactions during the whole crotch grab sequence lmao one of them is my bias, Yoojung
they were hilarious
The other one is JunJi, and tbh the whole group are crackheads

Wow, I didn't know this about the prop, but that makes total sense...
Well this is going to be hilarious
Edit: yep. Was hilarious.

you gotta watch the guilty pleasure version aka the performance video, I think the wardrobe fits your aesthetic more
i appreciate you and your support!
You should have picked one of the performances where they were wearing dark outfits. Those were A+

OnlyOneOf is hitting every choreography hard, recommend watching "Sage" or "Dora Maar" - fabulous group!
I'm always so surprised junji is able to do all this dancing with his long bangs!
You should really see some of their other dances! I think you would really like them.
glad you liked the video!

Why am I lowkey scared to watch this-
You should’ve seen the guilty pleasure performance MV it’s so good! And if you wanted the dark concept it’s there ☺️
he watched it with some of the members of his dance company Temper Tantrum during a livestream.
I’ve seen someone say the choreo is sexy but not trashy and I agree with it. I wish they had use that rope more but it also does seem difficult to handle…
It was definitely the embodiment of sex appeal and libido

They probably kept the shirtless to a minimum bc Korean stages are still very conservative w skin showing with certain stages.
makes sense
I LOVE this detailed analysis!! And also hard agreed on the performance outfits being way too conservative for the song choreo and themes :P
Please!!! Reaction to sage , boss of onlyoneof🙌🙌 i like the reaction !!!!!!!

That timeline was probably pruned by the TVA.

If there was no sex appeal in the choreo then what was the point!?
that part

none of them are minors ^^ and they were all shirtless for the jacket photoshoot anyway so nothing we haven't seen before xD
It's also upto what their comfortable with performing on stage tbf
They are all 21+...
they're not young 💀
Wait I'm sorry but TOO many people have said ooo are minors. It's really just what the members were comfortable with.
