I tried these on today against Brooks glycerin, hoka ahari, and saucony. After testing them on the tread mill I went with thr kayano 31. They felt the best and most stable.
Bought Kayano 31 yesterday after being torn between few different shoes. Soft shoes make my feet go a bit sore when walking, but running in these is great and felt good on my knees, so I’ll use them only for running. I have a narrow foot but prefer a wider toe box and these are good fit.

As stability shoes kayano 28 was near perfection now it’s getting soft compared to earlier firm sole failing the whole idea of stability..it’s disaster because they converted a best stability shoe to a hybrid shoe..I’m searching for some other brand now..maybe Saucony tempus
Great and honest review, thanks. I actually felt the same with the "heel issue", a little tighter and more "secure" fit in the 30. I ordered the Kayano 30 right before I saw this video, which I don´t regret. Buth otherwise the 31 is really comfortable, and seem at least as good as the 30..
As this shoe has been very kind to me. If i wanted to get a fast shoe with alot of the same attributes as i use a neutral/ stability shoe. What do you recommend

I also felt that the heel grip was lacking but it didnt slip. I tried to go down half a size but the reinforcements around the toebox was rubbing against my big toes. Dunno why they use så stiff material there, absurd

Hi Matt! I know that you're using Asics size 13 (30.5 cm). Is your foot length 28.5 or 28 cm?
I'd like to know the space between your big toe and the toe cap, which is kinda stiff.
Is it good/comfy for 10k to Half marathon distance? Do your recommend it for long slow distance run? Really apreciate
Yes, kayano is gong to be your slow long run day shoe, or a daily trainer for 80% of your runs which should be low intensity anwyay.

I don’t love the fit of the 31, I feel like 90% of people I fit in these shoes it’s weirdly narrow and the heel fit isn’t great… unless I have a narrower heel and the lockdown really isn’t great compared to the 30.
The bottom is very sick as it’s the same as last year.
Save ur money and get a 30 on sale.
30 are a bit big in my heel and dont grip that good. Had to size up half size due to my big toe rubbing against reinforcements in the toebox. Very fruatrating
