Re 13:58, I wonder if the latest M2 has an improved S58, I had a 2020 X3M (base model) and its S58 was lifeless under 2500 RPMs. I traded for a 2023 X3M (base model) and it has useful torque above 2k. My ultimate recent BMW is the M5CS! Great looking and unquestionable performance.

G87 in auto is my daily now for LA traffic. But thankfully, I have a Z4M roadster for weekends. Thanks for a great conversation and all the wonderful content you both produce!
So, I had an F87 Comp that was totaled (RIP). I now have a Z4M and was looking at G87. Are you happy with auto and do you think they are different enough to be worth having both?
@@chrisbradley3224 Two totally different cars. G87 is my daily. Comfortable and fast. I got Black Sapphire because it looks mean and hides some styling I don’t like. Z4M has that instant throttle response from the NA engine. No nav, just a 6 speed and the wind. Get one!
IF you go catless downpipes on the S58 manual with an ECU tune, you get all the power down low. I think is just how the OEM tune was made, the boost targets are so progressive to make it feel kind of NA. Same thing on the M4 manual, it really comes alive with all the insane torque down low, but yeah, needs Femto unlock.

I disagree with you! My problem with BMW and BMW M is that, they just want to continue making cars with that duality of driving performance and everyday use, but people who buy BMWs can afford to buy an additional car for daily duties! We look down upon AMG or Audi because they get beat by BMW M3s and M5s etc… but atleast those brands have a super or sports cars WHY THE FUCK WOULD BMW NOT MAKE IT WHEN CLEARLY THERE IS A MARKET FOR IT?

I agree BMWs are going down in brand value faster than an M5 CS f90 crossing the quarter mile! Yes how ironic! BMW M under the leadership of @franciscusvanmeel has become a disaster!! This man single handedly killed the BMW M BRAND and may be alongside with the support of the Quandt family who are these bottom line (profit) chasing fuckers!! We all laugh at AMG AND AUDI as BMW owners because the M3 and M5s beat them but least they have a supercar!? This man @franciscusvanmeel launched an XM an ugly ass suv on M’s 50th anniversary instead of a M1 as a true successor of an M car! As far as I can see it’s game over for BMW! Unless they kick out this arsonist trying to set fire to BMW brand and introduce a BMW M1 successor with a mid engine inline 6 or a naturally aspirated V10 in it.
