No one really talks about the Seraphite Abby fights at the island enough imo. That guy had serious endurance and the way Abby slices his mouth open was just beautiful brutality and I loved the unique way he went out. Really cool!!
I wish they made him like the main leader of the Scars. It would have been very cool to see him in cutscenes as a whole. The dude appears to be at least 6'11 to even 7'00 ft tall. He does appear to be in his peak physical prime as he is able to even overpower Abby in strength and even more tough as he takes a lot of pain such as being hit by that sword and arrows. Even getting his mouth pulled on and still almost kills Abby. He's probably the strongest human character in the whole series as a whole.
Let’s just give a massive applause for *Joel* standing up to a Bloater twice the size of him. Bloaters have the strength to rip ur jaw off but Joel could do it 2x better and quicker. *2:01*

I think because Tommy's older and the relationship he had with Joel had always been rocky even since the first game, he's out for what I found to be a much purer vengeance. There is hate, there is revenge. But it is clean in a way. Which I think allowed him to kill Manny in such an awesome way. But then you have Ellie, whose bond with Joel was even stronger and more intense, and to lose it in such a way... it made her worse than brutal. So in the end, I'd say Tommy's still a badass, but his personality hasn't actually changed. He's still out for vengeance and he's mad Ellie won't help him. She makes the decision based on logic. In the end of course she still goes, and it's not about vengeance. She's out for closure. Which when she's about to drown Abby in the most soul annihilating way, she suddenly realizes, she's just never going to get it, because it's not Abby who she needs dead, it's Joel who she needs back.
Just had a thought after reading these comments. If they have any planned DLC, I think it would be from Tommy's pov. He did a lot behind the scenes that we mostly get to see the aftermath of, apart from the sniper part. Also, Dina might tell him that Ellie went off to find Abby in Santa Barbara. He'll feel guilty and set out to find/help her. He'd have his own little segment against the rattlers and probably be involved with the prisoner revolt. He'll then find Ellie bleeding out on the beach from her wounds and help her get back. Maybe.

You are spot on, but personally I find both games replay value to be quite low. As is the case with linear story mode games. I've played the first around three times, and only played part two once.

the huge infection monster at the hospital was legit the scariest shit ever, i had never mashed my buttons faster in a game and then the little runner/clicker infected that latches off of the main monster once you defeat it was the most annoying one, uncomparable to tommy tho

I hate Abby as a Main protagonist but I literally love her fighting style. I wish there was a mode like in old Resident Evil days, that you chose a map like : Hillcrest, Ground Zero, Jackson, Santa Barbara and a selection of characters for example : Joel, Ellie, Abby, Tommy, Dina, Tess if it has to be Owen, Many... And you have to kill as many enemies as possible to get more points.

This is the only game that I actually got so involved with a had to walk away and go outside when I saw Joel dead. What a beautiful but sad storyline of a game. I hope the next will be just as tear and gut wrenching
I REALLY want to see a prequel with Joel and Tommy right after the outbreak. How they met Tess and Bill, what led Tommy wanting to and eventually joining the Fireflies, what led Joel all the way from Texas to the Boston quarantine zone, pretty much what led up to Joel waking up to 20 years later in the first game

The fact that bloaters are strong enough to hold some one in a grip to rip their jaw off, Applause to ellie AND joel because Ellie managed to hold off the grip until Joel killed it quicker than the Bloater kills a living thing- applause they live for the applause
During most of the game when Ellie has flashbacks of Joel it's of him lying bloodied about to die. This fuels her vengence and anger. During the end fight with Abby when she's mid drowning her she pictured Joel playing the guitar and smiling. It's ultimately a sad story, Ellie loses everything, her new family and the ability to play the guitar for tranquil moments. Abby lost her father and her friends in a brutal way. Joel didn't need to slaughter all those medics and scientists to save Ellie but he also didn't deserve such a prolonged, torturous death. Nobody wins. Brilliant game.
"If somehow the lord gave me a second chance to relive that moment, I'd do it all over again." Joel knowingly dooming mankind for his decision to keep Ellie alive when she was willing to die. The fact he would say to her face if the powers that be gave him a second chance, he'd do the same thing over again...his conviction is if nothing else respectable.

Hi, this is coming from a guy who just played this game for the first time even though it’s been out for nearly 2 years, but I love Abby as a character, her motivations were clear, and the dialogue between her and lev were reminiscent of part 1, which made me start to love her as a character because of the almost identical comparison of her character to Joel’s.
I was playing as Abby trying to get to Ellie and I was playing on NORMAL and got my ass handed to me over and over again. Kind of makes you sympathize with the people she fought and the pure terror of knowing all your friends/group is dead and your next and you can't do anything about it
You know what The Last Of Us part 1 and 2 was the only game that made me cry.. I was literally in tears.. because it was more than a game.. it really had a damn good storyline part 1 and 2... characters actually had feelings and emotions. ..like a film.. and even though its not underrated.. it should get more attention on how this shit can really happen.. I think that this game should win many awards.. I don't know how it goes in the game world. As far as rated stars and award winning but this game is like no other ..it will be like no other.. when it comes to the storyline..
I don't get why people hate this story. This game tells a raw story about what can be the consequences of our actions and what those can bring to us and other people. Joel by killing Abby's father starts a chain of events that bring to Abby's revenge and the death of Joel The death of Joel bring the revenge of Ellie who causes the death of all the Abby's friends, this causes another Abby's will to get revenge and that causes the death of Ellie's friend, but Abby decide to spare Ellie, Dina and Tommy life's because the presence of Lev. Ellie's will to revenge is so strong that even if Abby decided to let her live for the second time she decides to left Dina and JJ behind and try to find Abby and kill her, then she let Abby live when she learns that the whole revenge thing is just too much. The result of this story is the death of lot of characters except the two main, Ellie and Abby and a few others. The fact that you also play Abby even when you wanted Ellie to win is to make you learn that there are no winners in a story like this
I think because Abby doesnt seem to feel any remorse or real consequences, sure she loses all her friends but in the end, she willingly dragged them into it and feels no guilt over it. Fine, he vomited once, but its clear she gets her happy ending. Ellie doesnt.
Seems to be a lazy way of gaining sympathy for Abby whilst making Joel seem more of a monster than a morally dubious father figure. I think they should have had Abby join their group unaware that these are the people she's after, so they can bond and get to know her more before the dramatic reveal. Her sudden gameplay switch with some random strangers feels jarring
Yes! It shows you just how far some people will go. Ellie was willing to sacrifice everyone for vengeance as well as Abby. There's two sides to every coin. They are the same and if they would've realized that, their friends would still be alive. Ellie sacrificed her whole new life to avenge Joel and in the end, couldn't kill Abby because of Joel. If only all of them put that time into saving the communities or joining forces for a better society lol. The writing isn't lazy, all puzzles fit even when one person died or was presumed dead, they brought it up it the other's storyline. There are no holes and in the end they both get their happy ending, resolve and more life, unlike a lot of others.
It was poorly executed. They tried to get you to sympathize with the antagonists but didn't make them likeable. Abby isn't a terrible character but she definitely isn't a good one either.
I'm pissed about the fingers part, if ellie was gonna let abby go anyways then why'd she fight her, what a waste of fingers, so next time u play guitar and miss a note ellie, renember ur dumb decision

The Butterfly Effect Looking back got me thinking if it would have been better if Marlene and Issac debuted as cell leaders meeting at Salt Lake City and the real headquarters is in liberated Los Angeles Quarantine Zone which would cover the whole county. Dr. Jerry Anderson would found 2 different ways of creating a cure: 1.The growth core in the brain with fast acting results, but extracting it rendering the person brain dead. 2.The antibodies in her blood which would take longer but it is a more moral ethical option. Command from LA would want Jerry and other scientist in other cells to use samples of Ellie's blood to create the vaccine, but Issac who has been a founding member and cell leader from the very beginning and has seen so much death and loss thinks that playing by other peoples rules would get them no where and he decides to build his own army with his cell and talks Marlene and her cell members into joining them and orders Jerry to take the quicker choice which Jerry is against which has Issac subtly threaten Jerry with Abby's life which makes Jerry have no choice but to begin the operation. Joel shows up and instead of killing Jerry he talks him down by telling him about Sarah about how losing her has made him lost his humanity and has pushed away the one family he had left wish was his younger brother Tommy and all he wanted to do was die. But meeting Ellie has helped him pick up the pieces of what he use to be and has given him a purpose in living and ask if Jerry has kids, and he would answer yes which his daughter Abby. Joel ask if Jerry took samples of Ellie's blood and said's yes. Joel would tell Jerry to make a cure the right way let Joel take Ellie and find Abby and give her a big hug knowing he did the right thing. Jerry lets Joel take Ellie, only for Issac to execute Jerry for being weak and tells the assistants including Nora that if they speak one word of this and they meet the same fate and Nora would say; Not a word. Owen and later Abby would come in and see's Nora and the other assistant standing and Issac kneeling over Jerry's dead body with Owen asking what happen with Issac framing Joel for Jerry's death. With Jerry and Marlene dead and with the only source for a vaccine is Ellie's blood and Nora continuing working on a cure with it which would take years since Issac has convince his cell and Marlene's cell that it is time to no longer look for the light but to lurk in the dark to hunt for the weak to destroy for the strong to survive and become predators that it is time to become Wolves. With Abby heartbroken and driven by revenge for her fathers death has her become one of Issac's most trusted lieutenants and leaving Nora with no option for her mothers life but to join and plans to find the right opportunity to expose the truth. In over the years The Wolves led by Issac would conquer the Seattle Quarantine Zone by slaughtering FEDRA officials, soldiers and their families and has offer others in the zone strength by joining so Issac would make this image that The Wolves are the saviors of humanity but hides the cold hard truths of how they operate since they now have growing families in their group. 5 years later Issac would be the one who would lead the hunting party with only him, Abby and Owen and another unnamed Wolf looking for Joel and has given Abby the honor of killing Joel thinking she has avenged her fathers death. Issac, Abby and Owen recognizing Ellie and Issac personally recognizing Tommy from their days in the Fireflies and orders the unnamed Wolf to kill Tommy and take Ellie alive back to Seattle with them for Nora to create a vaccine with the growth core but Dina, Jessie and the others from Jackson found them killed the unnamed Wolf with Issac, Abby and Owen escaping without Ellie. Issac knows Ellie and Tommy would be coming for them and has everyone be ready for them and anyone that is with them. When Ellie and her group find Nora first, she tells them why Issac and Abby went after Joel and her and what happen with Abby's father that night and finds more of Abby's friends including Abby's ex Owen and his current girlfriend Mel who is pregnant with Owens child with Owen skeptical and Mel in shock, Manny who is a good friend of Abby and has feelings for Nora which is why he is the first she told the truth to and believes her immediately, and Jordan and Leah a young couple with Jordan is a friend of Owen and Leah a friend of Mel both Question Nora on why she keep it to herself all these years with explaining that she was keeping her mother safe and how she's all her mothers got since her father left them and had an affair with a friend of Marlene which reveals Ellie's father is Eugene from Tommy's days in the Fireflies but Eugene ended his relationship with Anna because of her pregnancy and left her which makes Ellie and Nora half sisters which makes them initially not get along but have to work together to not only to care for Mel but also for Dina who is pregnant as well with Jessie's child and also plan to expose Issac. When Issac, Abby, Yara and Lev find Ellie, Nora and their group, but before they start killing each other Nora tells Abby, Yara and Lev the truth and Abby turns on Issac who mistakenly confirmed it escapes them leaving Abby on her knees crying on how everything she did especially killing Joel was all for nothing with Yara and Lev comforting her with everyone in the theater looking on in sympathy except Ellie who still see's her as Joel's killer with his blood on Abby's hands. Issac flees Seattle with his loyal pack while others like Seattle natives including families and some soldiers join Abby in returning to The Fireflies and move to Jackson County Communicating with other cells and LA HQ in locating The Wolves. after over a year, Ellie checks on everyone. Jessie and Dina are happily married with a son they named after Joel in honor of him and Ellie as his Godmother. Owen and Mel also happily married with their daughter who they named after Mel's mom. Nora and Manny are dating as she continues working on a vaccine with Ellie's blood and has been getting closer with Fireflies resources coming in from other cells and she and Ellie had started getting along as sisters despite Nora's mother Claire constantly calling Ellie a bastard because of Eugene's affair with Anna. checking on Tommy and Maria as they have been seeing counseling because of the recent events involving Tommy solo going to Seattle last year and has been improving since. She see's Abby with Yara and Lev teaching them how to use more than bows and arrows. Ellie tries to come to terms of forgiving Abby for killing Joel but takes a liking to the siblings who remind her of her and Riley. Jordan and Leah came back with information regarding Issac finding out he has been recruiting bandits, cutthroats, murders, the worst killers in the country and plan to invade The Fireflies LA HQ to cause disarray and conquer every civilized location in The Western Hemisphere. Ellie and Abby are force to working together and plan to go to LA and stop Issac but not before every able body volunteers to join them excluding Dina and Mel who choose to stay home to raise their children so Yara and Lev volunteer in their place, Dina was supportive of Jessie because she knew he had a code and that's why she loves him and gives him her bracelet for luck while Mel deeply express her concern on Owen going tries to talk him out of it, but Owen convince her that he owes Ellie and Tommy in showing them the truth about Issac and gave them a place for them to marry and raise their daughter, all Mel can do is to have Owen promise on trying not to get killed and have everyone promise on bringing Owen back.Their ride was long but arrived just in time to help The Fireflies defeat The Wolves and Ellie and Abby kill Issac but not before reminding that he's right he is a predator but not a Wolf but a parasite who manipulate others to killing each other and thrive on the chaos which is how he survived they told him how they survived which is for many reason but the one thing they had in common is that they had each other and that's why they beat him. Everyone who left Jackson to save The Fireflies LA HQ survived the final battle returned home and celebrated and Ellie pay tribute to Joel by playing guitar and singing Father and Son by Cat Stevens.
He wasn’t infected.....he just had the side of his mouth slit by Abby and even if he bites her fingers she wouldn’t get infected.....but meh whatever you see, I’ll respect it in some way.....
I love the game but what sorta ruins it for me is how fucking long the Abby section is. Like I watched her kill Joel fuck her and now I gotta play half the game as her? Worse part is you have to play as Abby against Ellie. The ending also kinda sucked like I wish I had the option to kill her. But other then that the game was really fun
In the end you can see how abby is dead inside, i undestand the message the game is giving us, abby lost all her friends for a Revenge. The only thing naughtydog mess up is the beginig of the story, at least joel could die fighting or something like that, but his dead is a shame, my veredict is (Story : 7) (Gameplay : 8.5) 🥳
Good to see people that aren't jumping on the bandwagon of hate. Both women have valid motivations for their actions, however "right" or "wrong" they may be.
The problem is having Abby kill off a well-loved character in an extremely painful and humiliating way *before* they made any attempt to humanise/explain her. You can have the most sympathetic backstory in the world, but if you're introduced by torturing and murdering the player's former avatar and surrogate father figure I doubt most players are going to ever get over that.
it took me so long to defeat these boss fights and you just made it look easy XD i literally was on the edge on just giving up but i wanted to actually play more of the story more then i wanted to watch it

Goes to show how tough Abby is that Ellie could barely get a win against an Abby that was starved, dehydrated and probably at way less than half her usual strength
Ellie was in pretty bad shape there as well, and they were evenly matched if not Ellie being objectively tougher and more dangerous when they fought before hand as well. But even if starved Abby just had weight and size on her side as well You don’t need your full strength to match a person who is physically smaller Ethan you.

my hope for The Last Of Us Part III is to have a story divided in past and present, know more about the past of Joel before the part one, and also more adventure from Ellie and Abby ( I loved them both ), I mean a game with a storyline similar to The Godfather part 2 ..
The last of us logic: the allies with you never get attacked no matter how close they are to hostiles or how much noise they make around clickers or stealth sections
You know, I think it would’ve been better if A) Joel went out like a champ fighting and B) the game made Ellie and Tommy out to be more like a John Wick boogeyman style badass that Abby was more so trying to get away from. Kinda like a John Wick meets The Last of Us story mix up.
Personally, I think they handled Joel's death well. It made it clear in the first game that Joel wasn't a good dude and the sequal just shows how your actions have consequences. I liked how Abby took out Joel with a knee shot, because he has a reputation as a hard-to-kill son of a gun.

Dude i think you've seen too many movies. This game is incredibly realistic because characters you love dont die like heroes, but like normal people, like Mannys and Jesses death. Joel couldnt do anything different, even if he wouldnt tell abby his name she would have killed him anyways reckonizing him by his face. He couldnt kill the people in the room there were like 8 armed people pointing a gun at him. You could Say that Ellie should have shot abby before entering the room but Joel did nothing wrong. Sorry for my terrible english im italian.
Honestly I think what naughty dog should’ve done was introduce Abby and her backstory first. It’ll make it easier to reason why she killed Joel. Then switch it to Ellie to make the point of her revenge the more desirable.
In retrospect, that would have worked so much better. We really needed that context first, and it would have added so much weight to killing Joel, seen from Abby's perspective. Maybe we only realise she's hunting Joel as she finds him.
Yep. Genuinly the narrative isn't terrible itself but its plot structure. Shift the order in which the story is presented and chances are no gripes would remain.

He did a lot behind the scenes that we mostly get to see the aftermath of, apart from the sniper part. Also, Dina might tell him that Ellie went off to find Abby in Santa Barbara. He'll feel guilty and set out to find/help her. He'd have his own little segment against the rattlers and probably be involved with the prisoner revolt. He'll then find Ellie bleeding out on the beach from her wounds and help her get back.

I hate Abby as a Main protagonist but I literally love her fighting style. I wish there was a mode like in old Resident Evil days, that you chose a map like : Hillcrest, Ground Zero, Jackson, Santa Barbara and a selection of characters for example : Joel, Ellie, Abby, Tommy, Dina, Tess if it has to be Owen, Many... And you have to kill as many enemies as possible to get more points.

During most of the game when Ellie has flashbacks of Joel it's of him lying bloodied about to die. This fuels her vengence and anger. During the end fight with Abby when she's mid drowning her she pictured Joel playing the guitar and smiling. It's ultimately a sad story, Ellie loses everything, her new family and the ability to play the guitar for tranquil moments. Abby lost her father and her friends in a brutal way. Joel didn't need to slaughter all those medics and scientists to save Ellie but he also didn't deserve such a prolonged, torturous death. Nobody wins. Brilliant game.

Hi, this is coming from a guy who just played this game for the first time even though it’s been out for nearly 2 years, but I love Abby as a character, her motivations were clear, and the dialogue between her and lev were reminiscent of part 1, which made me start to love her as a character because of the almost identical comparison of her character to Joel’s.
I was playing as Abby trying to get to Ellie and I was playing on NORMAL and got my ass handed to me over and over again. Kind of makes you sympathize with the people she fought and the pure terror of knowing all your friends/group is dead and your next and you can't do anything about it
All of Abby’s boss fights are absolutely incredible and are so freaky. Love it

Joel by killing Abby's father starts a chain of events that bring to Abby's revenge and the death of Joel
The death of Joel bring the revenge of Ellie who causes the death of all the Abby's friends, this causes another Abby's will to get revenge and that causes the death of Ellie's friend, but Abby decide to spare Ellie, Dina and Tommy life's because the presence of Lev.
Ellie's will to revenge is so strong that even if Abby decided to let her live for the second time she decides to left Dina and JJ behind and try to find Abby and kill her, then she let Abby live when she learns that the whole revenge thing is just too much.
The result of this story is the death of lot of characters except the two main, Ellie and Abby and a few others.
The fact that you also play Abby even when you wanted Ellie to win is to make you learn that there are no winners in a story like this
I think because Abby doesnt seem to feel any remorse or real consequences, sure she loses all her friends but in the end, she willingly dragged them into it and feels no guilt over it. Fine, he vomited once, but its clear she gets her happy ending. Ellie doesnt.
Seems to be a lazy way of gaining sympathy for Abby whilst making Joel seem more of a monster than a morally dubious father figure. I think they should have had Abby join their group unaware that these are the people she's after, so they can bond and get to know her more before the dramatic reveal. Her sudden gameplay switch with some random strangers feels jarring
Yes! It shows you just how far some people will go. Ellie was willing to sacrifice everyone for vengeance as well as Abby. There's two sides to every coin. They are the same and if they would've realized that, their friends would still be alive. Ellie sacrificed her whole new life to avenge Joel and in the end, couldn't kill Abby because of Joel. If only all of them put that time into saving the communities or joining forces for a better society lol. The writing isn't lazy, all puzzles fit even when one person died or was presumed dead, they brought it up it the other's storyline. There are no holes and in the end they both get their happy ending, resolve and more life, unlike a lot of others.

It was poorly executed. They tried to get you to sympathize with the antagonists but didn't make them likeable. Abby isn't a terrible character but she definitely isn't a good one either.

The Butterfly Effect
Looking back got me thinking if it would have been better if Marlene and Issac debuted as cell leaders meeting at Salt Lake City and the real headquarters is in liberated Los Angeles Quarantine Zone which would cover the whole county. Dr. Jerry Anderson would found 2 different ways of creating a cure:
1.The growth core in the brain with fast acting results, but extracting it rendering the person brain dead.
2.The antibodies in her blood which would take longer but it is a more moral ethical option.
Command from LA would want Jerry and other scientist in other cells to use samples of Ellie's blood to create the vaccine, but Issac who has been a founding member and cell leader from the very beginning and has seen so much death and loss thinks that playing by other peoples rules would get them no where and he decides to build his own army with his cell and talks Marlene and her cell members into joining them and orders Jerry to take the quicker choice which Jerry is against which has Issac subtly threaten Jerry with Abby's life which makes Jerry have no choice but to begin the operation. Joel shows up and instead of killing Jerry he talks him down by telling him about Sarah about how losing her has made him lost his humanity and has pushed away the one family he had left wish was his younger brother Tommy and all he wanted to do was die. But meeting Ellie has helped him pick up the pieces of what he use to be and has given him a purpose in living and ask if Jerry has kids, and he would answer yes which his daughter Abby. Joel ask if Jerry took samples of Ellie's blood and said's yes. Joel would tell Jerry to make a cure the right way let Joel take Ellie and find Abby and give her a big hug knowing he did the right thing. Jerry lets Joel take Ellie, only for Issac to execute Jerry for being weak and tells the assistants including Nora that if they speak one word of this and they meet the same fate and Nora would say; Not a word. Owen and later Abby would come in and see's Nora and the other assistant standing and Issac kneeling over Jerry's dead body with Owen asking what happen with Issac framing Joel for Jerry's death. With Jerry and Marlene dead and with the only source for a vaccine is Ellie's blood and Nora continuing working on a cure with it which would take years since Issac has convince his cell and Marlene's cell that it is time to no longer look for the light but to lurk in the dark to hunt for the weak to destroy for the strong to survive and become predators that it is time to become Wolves. With Abby heartbroken and driven by revenge for her fathers death has her become one of Issac's most trusted lieutenants and leaving Nora with no option for her mothers life but to join and plans to find the right opportunity to expose the truth. In over the years The Wolves led by Issac would conquer the Seattle Quarantine Zone by slaughtering FEDRA officials, soldiers and their families and has offer others in the zone strength by joining so Issac would make this image that The Wolves are the saviors of humanity but hides the cold hard truths of how they operate since they now have growing families in their group. 5 years later Issac would be the one who would lead the hunting party with only him, Abby and Owen and another unnamed Wolf looking for Joel and has given Abby the honor of killing Joel thinking she has avenged her fathers death. Issac, Abby and Owen recognizing Ellie and Issac personally recognizing Tommy from their days in the Fireflies and orders the unnamed Wolf to kill Tommy and take Ellie alive back to Seattle with them for Nora to create a vaccine with the growth core but Dina, Jessie and the others from Jackson found them killed the unnamed Wolf with Issac, Abby and Owen escaping without Ellie. Issac knows Ellie and Tommy would be coming for them and has everyone be ready for them and anyone that is with them. When Ellie and her group find Nora first, she tells them why Issac and Abby went after Joel and her and what happen with Abby's father that night and finds more of Abby's friends including Abby's ex Owen and his current girlfriend Mel who is pregnant with Owens child with Owen skeptical and Mel in shock, Manny who is a good friend of Abby and has feelings for Nora which is why he is the first she told the truth to and believes her immediately, and Jordan and Leah a young couple with Jordan is a friend of Owen and Leah a friend of Mel both Question Nora on why she keep it to herself all these years with explaining that she was keeping her mother safe and how she's all her mothers got since her father left them and had an affair with a friend of Marlene which reveals Ellie's father is Eugene from Tommy's days in the Fireflies but Eugene ended his relationship with Anna because of her pregnancy and left her which makes Ellie and Nora half sisters which makes them initially not get along but have to work together to not only to care for Mel but also for Dina who is pregnant as well with Jessie's child and also plan to expose Issac. When Issac, Abby, Yara and Lev find Ellie, Nora and their group, but before they start killing each other Nora tells Abby, Yara and Lev the truth and Abby turns on Issac who mistakenly confirmed it escapes them leaving Abby on her knees crying on how everything she did especially killing Joel was all for nothing with Yara and Lev comforting her with everyone in the theater looking on in sympathy except Ellie who still see's her as Joel's killer with his blood on Abby's hands. Issac flees Seattle with his loyal pack while others like Seattle natives including families and some soldiers join Abby in returning to The Fireflies and move to Jackson County Communicating with other cells and LA HQ in locating The Wolves. after over a year, Ellie checks on everyone. Jessie and Dina are happily married with a son they named after Joel in honor of him and Ellie as his Godmother. Owen and Mel also happily married with their daughter who they named after Mel's mom. Nora and Manny are dating as she continues working on a vaccine with Ellie's blood and has been getting closer with Fireflies resources coming in from other cells and she and Ellie had started getting along as sisters despite Nora's mother Claire constantly calling Ellie a bastard because of Eugene's affair with Anna. checking on Tommy and Maria as they have been seeing counseling because of the recent events involving Tommy solo going to Seattle last year and has been improving since. She see's Abby with Yara and Lev teaching them how to use more than bows and arrows. Ellie tries to come to terms of forgiving Abby for killing Joel but takes a liking to the siblings who remind her of her and Riley. Jordan and Leah came back with information regarding Issac finding out he has been recruiting bandits, cutthroats, murders, the worst killers in the country and plan to invade The Fireflies LA HQ to cause disarray and conquer every civilized location in The Western Hemisphere. Ellie and Abby are force to working together and plan to go to LA and stop Issac but not before every able body volunteers to join them excluding Dina and Mel who choose to stay home to raise their children so Yara and Lev volunteer in their place, Dina was supportive of Jessie because she knew he had a code and that's why she loves him and gives him her bracelet for luck while Mel deeply express her concern on Owen going tries to talk him out of it, but Owen convince her that he owes Ellie and Tommy in showing them the truth about Issac and gave them a place for them to marry and raise their daughter, all Mel can do is to have Owen promise on trying not to get killed and have everyone promise on bringing Owen back.Their ride was long but arrived just in time to help The Fireflies defeat The Wolves and Ellie and Abby kill Issac but not before reminding that he's right he is a predator but not a Wolf but a parasite who manipulate others to killing each other and thrive on the chaos which is how he survived they told him how they survived which is for many reason but the one thing they had in common is that they had each other and that's why they beat him. Say what you want about this game (I personally loved it), gotta admit the voice acting is amazing.
I think the story is overheated but still not amazing, but the gameplay and visuals are absolutely stunning. 10/10 for the graphics part
I love the game but what sorta ruins it for me is how fucking long the Abby section is. Like I watched her kill Joel fuck her and now I gotta play half the game as her? Worse part is you have to play as Abby against Ellie. The ending also kinda sucked like I wish I had the option to kill her. But other then that the game was really fun

One of the coolest scenes is when Abbey encounters Tommy sniping every of them soldiers, and they have to get to him

In the end you can see how abby is dead inside, i undestand the message the game is giving us, abby lost all her friends for a Revenge. The only thing naughtydog mess up is the beginig of the story, at least joel could die fighting or something like that, but his dead is a shame, my veredict is (Story : 7) (Gameplay : 8.5) 🥳

Good to see people that aren't jumping on the bandwagon of hate. Both women have valid motivations for their actions, however "right" or "wrong" they may be.
The problem is having Abby kill off a well-loved character in an extremely painful and humiliating way *before* they made any attempt to humanise/explain her. You can have the most sympathetic backstory in the world, but if you're introduced by torturing and murdering the player's former avatar and surrogate father figure I doubt most players are going to ever get over that.

it took me so long to defeat these boss fights and you just made it look easy XD i literally was on the edge on just giving up but i wanted to actually play more of the story more then i wanted to watch it

Goes to show how tough Abby is that Ellie could barely get a win against an Abby that was starved, dehydrated and probably at way less than half her usual strength
Ellie was in pretty bad shape there as well, and they were evenly matched if not Ellie being objectively tougher and more dangerous when they fought before hand as well.
But even if starved Abby just had weight and size on her side as well
You don’t need your full strength to match a person who is physically smaller Ethan you.
This games storyline and just the way they killed off the characters that shot is outstanding

my hope for The Last Of Us Part III is to have a story divided in past and present, know more about the past of Joel before the part one, and also more adventure from Ellie and Abby ( I loved them both ), I mean a game with a storyline similar to The Godfather part 2 ..
There are things that haven't been mentioned yet, such as chasing Nora, Abby's fight against Ellie, and Isaac's death
It is sad to note that the first commands you enter in the game are on a guitar full of affection, and the last command is a guitar full of sadness.

You know, I think it would’ve been better if A) Joel went out like a champ fighting and B) the game made Ellie and Tommy out to be more like a John Wick boogeyman style badass that Abby was more so trying to get away from. Kinda like a John Wick meets The Last of Us story mix up.

Personally, I think they handled Joel's death well. It made it clear in the first game that Joel wasn't a good dude and the sequal just shows how your actions have consequences. I liked how Abby took out Joel with a knee shot, because he has a reputation as a hard-to-kill son of a gun.

Dude i think you've seen too many movies. This game is incredibly realistic because characters you love dont die like heroes, but like normal people, like Mannys and Jesses death. Joel couldnt do anything different, even if he wouldnt tell abby his name she would have killed him anyways reckonizing him by his face. He couldnt kill the people in the room there were like 8 armed people pointing a gun at him. You could Say that Ellie should have shot abby before entering the room but Joel did nothing wrong. Sorry for my terrible english im italian.

The rat king boss fight is really scary
Honestly I think what naughty dog should’ve done was introduce Abby and her backstory first. It’ll make it easier to reason why she killed Joel. Then switch it to Ellie to make the point of her revenge the more desirable.
In retrospect, that would have worked so much better. We really needed that context first, and it would have added so much weight to killing Joel, seen from Abby's perspective. Maybe we only realise she's hunting Joel as she finds him.
Yep. Genuinly the narrative isn't terrible itself but its plot structure. Shift the order in which the story is presented and chances are no gripes would remain.
