I agree, especially once the skin analyzer mentioned being neutral-cool toned, I was so confused to where all the high contrast deep autumn lingo was coming from.
I loved this video!! I also had no idea about the necklines but I totally saw it when she held up different ones! I do think that some of it is personal preference and what you think looks nice on yourself! I’ve done it online and it’s helped me narrow it down but I still want to do it in person so I can see for myself too!
Right!? Necklines is so much more about how broad your shoulders are, the ratio of bust to shoulders, the length of your neck, width of your head compared to your shoulders… those neckline drapes made no sense 😂
Hi, I honesty think deep autnum is quiete correct in the 12 pallet System - for the times were you don’t tan. Your hair has a slight warmth and your skin is quite neutral. You have some higher contrast because when your are this pale ( in comparrison to your deep hair). I have simmilar fratures but with slightly cooler hair and a hint of green-blue undertone. Im a soft winter or a deep summer in the 16 pallet system. The undertone for both of us is not that important but the mix of deep and slight softness of the colors. Deep autnum has both because autnum is like summer a softer season. However you could also be a „in transition type“ like I am. In the summer when your tan and your hair gehts lighter, the contrast is lower - than your more likely a soft autnum - and I myself tend to look good in some soft summer shades - but still not the lightest of them.
This is insane. There’s just no way you’re a deep autumn - maybe a soft autumn, but I definitely would have said summer or spring. None of your features nor undertones are ‘deep’! You have bright eyes.
Deep autumn here 😁 it's fun how I always took inspiration from your fall looks to elevate my style 🤣 who knew! By the way... People always disagree about colour analysis but how can we judge from this side of the screen! 🤷
This was so fun! I love anything color analysis related and it’s my dream to do one appt. I’ve heard about contrast, it’s the only analysis I can make on myself, and I was surprised that you’re a high contrast, I’d bet that you’re a medium. Anyhow, thanks for sharing your experience ❤
Love this video! I've been trying to keep my wardrobe in my season and it helps keep me focused on what I should and shouldn't buy. I'm a little confused with your analysis though - if your undertone is neutral/cool, wouldn't that make you a winter or summer?
I was color analyzed in the 80’s and have been wearing the wrong colors until recently when I was reanalyzed. People would comment about looking harsh in Winter colors, I’m now getting compliments wearing bright spring. I think the Autumn season is correct for you but you might want to get a second opinion to avoid years of mistake. You are gorgeous, thankyou for sharing!
I definitely thought you were a soft autumn…and still do! Just based on everything I have read in an ADHD hyperfixation 🤣 the outfit you’re wearing here screams soft autumn to me and looks amazing on you. I’m a deep autumn and as far as I know, the primary colour aspect of a deep autumn’s overall appearance is dark, then warm. Eyes and hair should be dark and there is high contrast. Soft autumn is more muted, which I think is definitely more you!
i did the chatGPT version some while ago and it was super right. Also on the kitchener essences. I had a professional analysis done and it was very muhc the same. the professional kitchener analysis was a bit more detailed though.
@@alanekosanovichcahalane777 I guess it depends on the color analysis system... Because in 12/16 season color analysis there is no "soft winter" and the deep palettes have higher value and medium/high intensity colors (colors with more black added, making them more saturated deep colors), where soft colors have medium/low value and light intensity (meaning gray is added and you can't get depth by adding gray). They are opposites on the intensity/contrast scale. So someone who would be in a "soft" category would need the less intense/softer colors to shine. And by default wouldn't shine in intense/deep colors. And vise versa. So while there are lighter colors in the deep palette and darker shades in the soft palette, their intensity is completely different. They will be clearer and more intense in the deep palette. And the soft colors will never have the depth of a "deep" palette. Colour analysis studio on youtube explains it really well. Now, you can borrow outside of "your palette" typically with a "sister season". But that season has to share the important component of your palette. Aka depth, brightness, lightness, softness. Or undertone for those who are fully cool/warm.
It's fascinating to me how we gravitate towards colors and tones that suit us the best without even knowing anything about color analysis. This should make closet declutter a little easier (maybe not lol)
You could be a "neutral cool" in a light olive undertone way. I'm a light olive and the beauty industry always fail us. The neutral foundations are the closest shade match for us since when it's cool it looks PINK on us and when it's warm it looks yellow or orange, never right.
Olive is your overtone. Not your undertone. You will still be either warm or cool. Think of your olive as tan over your skin tone. I’m a very pale olive skin and I was challenged by this. But once i realized that it has nothing to do with my undertone- everything made sense!
Yeah, I used my words wrong but I know what you mean that's why I said neutral cool in I light olive undertone way. I just should have said overtone instead of undertone. I said in neutral cool because like you said there can be cool or warm olives
The most important thing about color analysis is that it needs to be done in person!! You can only make a *speculation* when you're watching someone, especially someone usually in makeup, from a screen. It's honestly wild to me that so many people are claiming with certainty that the results are wrong. Personally, I was only a little surprised by the contrast one but I was also not there when you had the appointment, but I do remember thinking a big stripe knit you wore before really suited you, enough so, that it stuck in my mind, so it makes sense to me why you would be high contrast, even if I don't think your hair is particularly dark. 🤷🏽♀️ BUT FOR YOUR UNDERTONE, have you looked into light olive foundation? Sometimes they can be labelled as neutral cool, sometimes it's just labelled warm. A lot of the times the closest I could get was a true neutral. It's such an inconvenient shade to have truly.😮💨 I find it a lot easier to get my summer shade, I use now is 190 from Haus (sephora says its light w/ cool golden olive undertones; yeah, cool AND golden, even they're confused). Anywho, I mix 190 with their 000, white, shade. It's the best color match I've found. The topic of concealer though, I don't wanna talk about it.😭 It's always pink, peach, or yellow.😭😭😭 Anywho, this was so fun to watch, thanks for sharing your experience with us!😊
I hate to be a hater because I love you so so much, buut even knowing you’re a champagne gold girlie means spring, typically. I do agree with the comments because you don’t really have enough contrast to be a deep autumn. I would be so interested to see you get another analysis with someone like Carol Brailey or other highly regarded professionals. I’ve always thought you were a spring, but I definitely think she was getting some stuff mixed up. (Also picante is like a true spring shade)
To determine undertone hair would be covered, to see how colours and skin react. But to determine intensity level and (sub)season, the hair is not covered. At least in the analysis videos I've seen.
Fellow Deep Autumn who loves an orange lip, you must try MAC CB 96. It's a frosted bright orange lipstick BTW. I've gone through 2 tubes of it and recently bought a backup to throw in my purse. I'm also a high contrast, according to the colour analysis I had done by Color Alliance decades ago. My analyst wasn't a comprehensive as yours was so I just happened to see on the little printout that came with my colour swatches that I should wear light with dark and a bright accent. Still figuring it all out....
I would never have guessed that you're a deep autumn! I think Elisha did an amazing job and the results of her analysis were on point. I really appreciate that she included an analysis of the contrast element, skin tone, jewelry and fabric - I've never seen that before! For everyone who disagrees with the results, remember that Allana is intelligent and discerning and what we see on our screens is not true-to-life. She did mention that what she saw on the camera was very different from what she saw in person.
…All this being said, you look BEAUTIFUL in all your favorite colors!!! You’re naturally drawn to your colors! I think it’s VERY close but I think you’re primarily a soft autumn too 🙈 you pull off all your favorite colors beautifully!!! Which makes sense since soft and dark autumn are sister colors. I think I’ve always been drawn to your style and color choices since I’m likely in the autumn family too! But you look so beautiful in your softer muted neutrals and while I love them too, but it would wash me out. The contrast is so interesting to me, haha I’ve never thought I look good in smaller patterns. But also, I beg. Don’t dye your hair black! 😂 💕
I was also completely disagreeing throughout the video and apparently I was not the only one! She doesn't have a high contrast to be a dark autumn, I don't know much about the other seasons because I'm a dark autumn and learnt more about that! Those colors you liked are probably right in undertone but high in contracts! Too dark! You have a medium contrast to me! ❤
I was lucky enough to get a free colour analysis about 25 years ago. It was a great experience, and I have ever since had confidence in what suits me best. The topic in general seems to provoke high emotions - amazingly. We should not take things too literally, I guess. There are no taboo colours, and it would be a pity if we avoided certain colours from then on. Still, it is great to know the colours that match the face best. I have kept my colour suggestions up until today and know them by heart so to speak. So everyone: ENJOY YOUR COLOURS and appreciate what they can do for you. Have a great time! : )
I would’ve sworn that you are a Spring! I’m a spring with similar tones as you but the autumn colors are similar because they’re in the same warm tone.
So since so many people have so many opinions on your look and how they disagree with the results, it might be fun to do like a so I’m not a deep autumn? Series where you dress and do your makeup like the other seasons.
i recently did a colour analysis in korea: - my number one palette is winter pale, then spring pale, then summer light (pale colours with a lot of white in them helps even out my skin) - apparently i'm pink/cool toned - i do have a lot of redness on my face from acne, but i look at my neck & arms and i swear i should be yellow/neutral haha - my best basic colours are white and light gray 😭 that's not gonna stop me from wearing black though - i'm a low contrast (it was funny cause on the day i was wearing a black tee and light denim which is high contrast) - for makeup, the saddest thing is that the best lip colour is pink/rose (i'm always drawn to warm tones and reds, but since spring pale also works for me, i can still try warm pinks)
Elisha knows what she's doing. I've been analyzed by her and I brought someone with me who had a good understanding of color.. she agreed with Elishas opinions. She just uses a different system.
I guessed Your color season right. Im simmilar combo of warm, dark and soft autumn (= true autumn in some systems)+ I can wear some soft spring colors. All my life I knew, I need contrast. I cant wear simillary dark colors together. I need something lighter and something darker. Not black and white winter contrast - that is too much, but dark brown with vanilla shade is perfection.
This was so much fun to watch. What I got out of this is that we’re color analysis twins (autumn vibes) 😂😂😂 as I’m rocking burgundy colored hair for the first time ever and am loving it. Never thought this color would suit me. Also all the fragrances you mentioned I absolutely love ❤️
YAY! I am so excited that you did this, I think I suggested a video idea similar to this awhile ago and am excited to see your results!!! I want to do one so badly!
would have guessed soft summer. deep autumn seems totally wrong to me. 😵💫 I have the same features as you (eye color, hair color, neutral skin tone) and I identify myself as soft summer. blue jeans and a white shirt is your best look.
I always thought you were cool because you gravitate towards cool pinks in blush and lip (although love a pop of picante!) and was honestly shocked about your result being a warm season . The silver made you glow. I agree with the other comments - perhaps worth another opinion. 😅
Just started the video and I’m reading the comments… honestly if you prefer some colours you are allowed to wear them. Even if they are not in your season.
You should do a follow up to this video where you make outfits in your color season and maybe even get some wigs with the different hair colors she recommended to try them out?
i think it makes a big difference if you only look at your face as they go through the colors, not look at the swatches themselves. more accurate reading that way. she was so sweet though!
Here to validate you and this colour analysis… I have almost the exact same hair, skin and eye colour as you and I agree with this so much. Deep autumn colours 100% look the best and paler/softer colours make me look unwell LOL. Put me in a pastel pink and I simply need to be hospitalized. Not sure about the contrast but I don’t think many people truly understand how pale a Canadian gal can get and that coupled with dark blonde/brown hair can end up being quite the difference hahah. But in the end colour is subjective and we should wear what makes us feel our best. 💁🏼♀️
Omg the worst color analysis I’ve seen. First of all, the lighting in that place, awful. Second, she was only following your reaction at what you liked or not. Ladies from color Analysis Studio here on YT are so much more precise and give every single possible detail. Third even someone as green as me at this can see that you are definitely not a high contrast. You are probably medium contrast. The cardigan you’re in in the video is a softer color and it looks fabulous on you, you’re mostly wearing soft makeup that suits you so well and that is also a soft season best look, it enhances the features instead of distracting from them and it’s not washing you out what would happen if you were a high contrast person. All this I’ve learn from those lovely Italian Australia based ladies at CAS. Highly recommend checking them out. ❤
Yeah there feels like a disconnect here. I wish she had talked a little more about why certain colours didn’t work, what tones it brought out in the skin, etc. It largely seemed to be about which colours Allana liked. Which is obviously important but doesn’t seem to be talking about the colour theory. Also, Allana favours (and looks great in) cool toned make up, which seems at odds with deep autumn. Hmm.
I’m a little confused, and maybe someone with more knowledge can enlighten me, but I thought autumns=warm undertones? That’s why golds look better, warmer tones look better ect. Yet she was told she had a cooler neutral skin undertone?
Autumns are on the warm side, but with Deep or Soft Autumns, the undertone isn't the primary characteristic as it would be with a True or Warm Autumn. For Deep Autumn, the depth of the colours is the more important thing; for Soft Autumn, it's the softness of the colours. A Deep or Soft Autumn can wear either gold or silver. I think Lan was mistyped. Softness, not depth, is her main characteristic, so I agree with a lot of commenters on that. But I think she's more Soft Summer than Soft Autumn.
@@mizshellyteethis was very helpful thank you! I agree, I also think she was mistyped. Picturing her with deep dark somewhat purple hair (in my opinion) would be shocking on her.
also when analyzing contrast one doesn't use white and gray stripes, but black and white because it's the biggest difference in contrast there is, so I don't really think Elisha did a good job here, sorry.
Very interesting. This is something i would love to try. I wonder what season I am!?! I've always considered my skin tone to be just neutral, but now you have me wondering 🤔. I was surprised too, when she said you were neutral cool. If anything, I definitely see you are neutral as well, but then the cool added in there surprised me as well. Hmm? I really need to figure out my season plus confirm my undertones. That device she used was interesting, too 🤔. Looks like I'm going down the rabbit hole 😊. Also, what a brilliant idea for content. I am loving all of these vlogs for EVERYDAYMAY ❤. So creative and genuine. The day you stop knowing is the day you stop growing 😉. Love ya's xoxoxo ❤
You’re supposed to leave the fabrics on longer and look ONLY at your face. With the right colors, your imperfections will fade on their own. And with the wrong colors they stand out. It’s not about which colors people like/dislike
This is so funny! We could not have a more different skin/hair tone but I am also a deep autumn. And I’m always swatched neutral/cool for my makeup because of the pink in my cheeks, but in actuality, I have green olive undertones…so maybe one day they’ll be able to get the skin tone correct for makeup :) Now I want to know about the contrast too! Also, I remember my mom getting this done in the early 90’s when I was a kid!

I agree, especially once the skin analyzer mentioned being neutral-cool toned, I was so confused to where all the high contrast deep autumn lingo was coming from.
Contrast would show up in the eye colour ( no matter what the colour) I agree she’s soft
Yes she is definitely a summer type. No doubt. 100 %. And this one warm mustardish yellow, she might like it, but it doesnt suit her at all.
I loved this video!! I also had no idea about the necklines but I totally saw it when she held up different ones! I do think that some of it is personal preference and what you think looks nice on yourself! I’ve seen a lot of videos and there seems to be a lot of times where people disagree with the results (even differences in professional opinion) but I think that’s partly while it’s helpful to do it in person so you can see yourself what you like! I’ve done it online and it’s helped me narrow it down but I still want to do it in person so I can see for myself too!
Agree with the comments. I don't think this color consultant has really nailed it
I think you should have this redone. The whole contrast and necklines is just bananas
Right!? Necklines is so much more about how broad your shoulders are, the ratio of bust to shoulders, the length of your neck, width of your head compared to your shoulders… those neckline drapes made no sense 😂
Allana this was very interesting to watch, you could def see the colors that worked and brightened your face. Thank you for this video.
her voice is so soothing😴💫
Allana you're some sort of summer, girl 😭
THANK YOU.
Yep, that was my first guess, and it was confirmed when she wore the baby blue.
Second opinion with Carol Brailey please! She’s even in Canada x
If you were deep autumn shouldnt your secondary be deep winter??
With the info in this video, it looks like you’re more of a soft autumn. Your hair isn’t dark enough to be considered high contrast imo
Agreed. High contrast is like the Snow White archetype, the dark hair and pale skin, which you can see more easily with the eyelashes and brows
Great video 🫶 So interesting to see how different colors can make or break us. Honestly, you look amazing in anything
This is insane. There’s just no way you’re a deep autumn - maybe a soft autumn, but I definitely would have said summer or spring. None of your features nor undertones are ‘deep’! You have bright eyes.
Color analysis is so interesting to me 🌈🌈 Loved watching-you have such a FUN personality❣️❣️
What a fun exercise! Thanks for sharing your results and thoughts.
Btw, LOVING your office setting and background for filming✨✨✨
Exactly, that color analysis was all over the place.
Yeah, I think Lan's a Soft Summer.
I agree and same here w the Adhd hyper fixation lol
My bet is a Warm Spring with the method Carol Brailey uses. She’s in Canada but she does analysis online so super easy. Check her out
i did the chatGPT version some while ago and it was super right. Also on the kitchener essences. I had a professional analysis done and it was very muhc the same. the professional kitchener analysis was a bit more detailed though.
Oh my god I cannot wait to see this redone! Alana is very low contrast or low medium at most and spring or summer.
You literally can't be deep AND soft. They are complete opposites, she definitely just went with what you liked.
Same!
Or neutral olives as well
Definitely do NOT die your hair purple black lol 😂 this was whack 😅 loved every moment
BUT FOR YOUR UNDERTONE, have you looked into light olive foundation? Sometimes they can be labelled as neutral cool, sometimes it's just labelled warm. A lot of the times the closest I could get was a true neutral. It's such an inconvenient shade to have truly.😮💨 I find it a lot easier to get my summer shade, I use now is 190 from Haus (sephora says its light w/ cool golden olive undertones; yeah, cool AND golden, even they're confused). Anywho, I mix 190 with their 000, white, shade. It's the best color match I've found. The topic of concealer though, I don't wanna talk about it.😭 It's always pink, peach, or yellow.😭😭😭
Anywho, this was so fun to watch, thanks for sharing your experience with us!😊
I hate to be a hater because I love you so so much, buut even knowing you’re a champagne gold girlie means spring, typically.
This was so interesting! I’m always so confused when I’ve seen people figure their color out so this was really cool to see
Don’t you normally have your hair covered and no makeup for a colour analysis?
Why did she say you should dye your hair black if she says you are a Deep Autumn and you have a cool undertone? 🤔
She doesn't have a high contrast to be a dark autumn, I don't
know much about the other seasons because I'm a dark autumn and learnt more about that!
That was very fascinating! I have been seeing the suggestions for videos of this, however I didn’t know what it was.
So since so many people have so many opinions on your look and how they disagree with the results, it might be fun to do like a so I’m not a deep autumn? Series where you dress and do your makeup like the other seasons.
On a side note I just wanted to say how lovely it was to see you enjoy this process so much. It was really fun to see.
This is genius!!
i recently did a colour analysis in korea:
- my number one palette is winter pale, then spring pale, then summer light (pale colours with a lot of white in them helps even out my skin)
- apparently i'm pink/cool toned - i do have a lot of redness on my face from acne, but i look at my neck & arms and i swear i should be yellow/neutral haha
- my best basic colours are white and light gray 😭 that's not gonna stop me from wearing black though
- i'm a low contrast (it was funny cause on the day i was wearing a black tee and light denim which is high contrast)
- for makeup, the saddest thing is that the best lip colour is pink/rose (i'm always drawn to warm tones and reds, but since spring pale also works for me, i can still try warm pinks)
Very educational! Thank you for sharing and I’m happy you had a great experience and learned more about yourself through it 💚💚
Realy for that Kibbe analysis next!
This!!
I’m definitely an Autumn too!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍 those are my fav shades
Wow, fascinating. It’s hard to see the colour difference impact on camera but the stripes and patterns were insane. 😮
would have guessed soft summer. deep autumn seems totally wrong to me. 😵💫
I have the same features as you (eye color, hair color, neutral skin tone) and I identify myself as soft summer. blue jeans and a white shirt is your best look.
Such a cool experience! I'm glad you got some fun takeaways and PICANTE!! 🔥
You are 💯 true summer. Carol is never wrong trust me I paid for other opinions and hers was always right!
Awesome! Would be interesting to see if you’d get the same results from a different analyst 🤔
You are definitely an autumn, out of each 4 shades of green, blue, etc, you picked the best. But soft autumn works a bit better.
She is a soft Summer, she is cooler toner
You should do a follow up to this video where you make outfits in your color season and maybe even get some wigs with the different hair colors she recommended to try them out?
Not me worried about your new yellow set after this. This was so helpful!
Youre such a soft autumn❤
i think it makes a big difference if you only look at your face as they go through the colors, not look at the swatches themselves. more accurate reading that way. she was so sweet though!
Oh nooooo! For the sake of science and entertainment, you need a second opinion! Carol Brailey does wonderful work!
Interesting!! You need a tan to warm your color up. The sun would bring up the soft spring colors. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
off topic but your make up is immaculate!! can you list what you used or is there a tutorial you have previously done on this look??
Im in awe
I am not happy wearing khaki green. I does nothing for my complexion. However I wear it anyway because I have some in my closet.
She’s not a deep autumn and you’re not one either.
Hmm.
Yessss I love their videos too! So helpful and well explained! I swear I'm not biased by the fact they're Italians 😛
Also: Sarah Ryan The Style Coach, out of Ireland. (She uses the same methodology as Alessandra and Giulia.)
I love that channel and a month ago I took my color analysis with them in an online session, their method is the one that makes the most sense to me.
@@erikaf_bridesThey are wonderful and such pros!
I’ve gatta know how you get your bun to look that good! Please do a tutorial! ❤
Love it!! And did she say something about black/white? Should you go more to the dark brown side or is black fine? 🩷🥰
this is the video I was truly expecting!!! 🎉
Not sure about the results... I would go go for another opinion 😉 I was guessing spring or summer. Interesting
Alan please try out Carol Brailey's colour analysis services... she is truly an expert in the field
I got analyzed by Carol, and Im happy with my results.
Well said!!
This is so funny! We could not have a more different skin/hair tone but I am also a deep autumn. And I’m always swatched neutral/cool for my makeup because of the pink in my cheeks, but in actuality, I have green olive undertones…so maybe one day they’ll be able to get the skin tone correct for makeup :)
Now I want to know about the contrast too!
Also, I remember my mom getting this done in the early 90’s when I was a kid!
I really enjoyed this Allana, thank you for entertaining me ❤
