- A beautiful trekking trip from Lukla to Island Peak basecamp in Sagarmatha National Park, himalaya, Nepal. The weather during the ascent of Island Peak was just amazing whereas it started to snow on the way down.

Great video mate. I've, after success on Mera Peak last October I'm feeling ready to head back and have a crack at Island Peak. This video will be getting lots of plays on the treadmill at the gym! :)
Great video. I climbed Island in November of 2013...not anywhere near the amount of snow on the approach that you had. What month and time of day did you climb? It was pitch black for most of our approach so fortunately I never saw a lot of what you saw on the way up or I might have turned around! ;-) So apparently we started quite a bit earlier than you at 1:15 a.m. Nice work!

Both spring and fall are optimal times to climb, Island, Mera or Lobuche.
