I’ve lost many, too many to name here, to depression and suicide, and this past year has been tough, real tough, for so, so many people. More suicides than ever, more people sent into depression than ever, more lives turned inside out by the ups and too many downs. War tore so many of my friends apart inside, but nothing like this past year. One of my best buds called me and said he was no longer depressed because this year was worse than war (perception of his). To anyone - your family and friends, your real friends, are there for you, and you are loved.

I feel you and the struggle is real. I'm blessed with a VERY understanding and amazing wife and that helps for sure. I've been down the pill road as well and they made me worse. Wife flushed them things lol. I think what helps me is just to accept myself. Some days will be good and some bad but I'm still me. I'm not less of a man on a bad day, even though it makes me not feel like a man at the time. Its a crazy feeling when you can help everyone but yourself. Hang in there and keep laying down the beat on your good days and don't feel ashamed to lean on your friends/family on the bad days. Peace and God bless.

I know that you guys are string supporters of our great military. As a 16 year veteran of the US Army, I know lots of people that suffer from depression and other things. I've known a lot that have lost that battle. I finally listened to this song yesterday, and it was somehow on the anniversary of one of my buddies loss with that battle.
