Good afternoon everyone.
Good morning!
Hello teacher, what's up? A person commented here, he said he's a native English speaker, and according to him, the pronunciation isn't very good. Well, My native language is Portuguese, I have been learning English here on Tangerine channel about 4 or 5 months, and I understand perfectly the dialogues in your videos!

Hello
Hello!
What do you already use in your daily life?
As a native English speaker, the pronunciation in this video isn’t very good.
Really? Where are you from? USA? Canada? UK? What are the errors in pronunciation have you found in this video?
@@dricofm9239 for example, when the narrator says “time” he prounounces it “toym/toime” almost like the word “toy” with an “m” at the end. That is just one example. I’m from the USA and the accent in the video seems to be trying to emulate the west coast accent in the US but it misses in some areas. If I heard someone talking like the narrator is in this video I would understand what they are saying but it just sounds weird. It sounds like a mix of an American accent and Scottish/Irish English accent. Not a bad learning tool at all, I wasn’t trying to be critical of the video but I just wanted people to know that there are probably better videos that have more realistic pronunciations.
@@dricofm9239 another example: when the narrator says “thing”, they pronounce the “g” at the end. But when a word has “ing” at the end, the “g” shouldn’t be heard. “ing” makes its own sound, the same could be said for the “th” sound. You don’t hear a “t” or an “h” but instead, the two letters form their own distinct sound. And like I said above, I don’t think this is a bad tool but it sounds very choppy and doesn’t sound natural but that is probably just because they want people to better understand it which I understand.
@@kadenkastberg9276 I appreciate your answers friend, thanks. Well, my native language is Portuguese (Brazil), and I'm not able to notice mistakes or errors in pronunciation in videos here on Tangerine Channel yet. I'm just starting to learn English and my goal Is to be fluent in the future. By the way, Do you think that the narrator is not a native English speaker? Have a good day!
@@dricofm9239 your English is very good, you have better spelling and grammar than a lot of native speakers that I know 😆. I would guess that the speaker is not a native english speaker just because of some small details. I would give more example but they are hard to explain and only noticeable if you are fluent and have been around English for a long time. The longer you use English and hear it constantly, the more you will pick up on those things. I am currently learning Spanish and just visited Costa Rica which helped a lot because there aren’t a lot of English speakers there so it forced me to pick up on some things that I normally wouldn’t by just watching videos. Based on your English skills in your comments I would say that if you spent a month in the US (or even just a week) or another English speaking country, you would see a crazy improvement with conversational fluency.
