The music at the end of the scene says something which Rajinikanth didnt say.
That music was so good. Its like a relief, comfort. The relief a man gets when a woman walks out of his life. The comfort a man feels after a break up.
While Shobhana was coming towards him, he was just trying to leave. At that time his only pain was losing the girl. At that point he knew that he and she both are helpless and dont want to blame her or anybody. Thats why simply trying to leave.
The moment she said she is going to marry a collector, Rajini became mad. He felt like he is losing the girl to a better man. His ego was hurt badly. How can any person tolerate that? And thats why he suddenly started blaming her for everything- "నేనా నీవెంట తిరిగాను. నేనా ఒళ్లో వాలి ఏడ్చాను?".
After she left he realised that its better she marry the collector- both for him and her.
Thats why the music was like taking the pressure off.
The moment Ilairaja shifts to Flute for the same music, the emotion completely changes.
