I love this show but I can't bare the english voice acting. Everyone sound like they are recording while running. The heavy gasping and moaning throws me off at times
Honestly, the original French one also gets me so confused. The voice acting in some of the scenes just sound so deadpan or devoid of emotion sometimes. This is just me growing up with the English Dub though. But man, does every dub of CL love moaning and gasping.
I was about to let my students watch Code Lyoko as a way of studying English, but after rewatching and hearing all of the grunting, and moaning, I can already tell their reactions.😂😂😂
Im pretty sure they worked closer to the actual show writers, so maybe thy were told to do it instead of them just overdoing it by choice. Either way, it was prob for a more dramatic effect and to keep people into watching
It’s nice seeing theirs still plenty of code lyoko fans, I was literally the only one who knew about it as a kid

looking back they did overdo it. they lessened it in evolution but i believe they were going for the dramatic effect
