Mentally a giant. If he was ever given a 'participation medal' growing up he wouldn't be the GOAT he is today. A lot of people around the world can learn from it and myself included. Life isn't always fair, it isn't always nice and you don't always win in life, you aren't always the favourite and you have obstacles to overcome and you must overcome them in whichever way you can. Would you want to be a winner but disliked by a lot of people? I guess it's what's more important - winning an essentially arbitrary record, even slams, I mean tennis is a game, or being liked by lots of people, i.e. Federer/Nadal. Would you want to be a winner but disliked by a lot of people? I guess it's what's more important - winning an essentially arbitrary record, even slams, I mean tennis is a game, or being liked by lots of people, i.e. Federer/Nadal.
Not that I think it's all Djokovic's fault (he can't control who likes him, though I think it must be a reflection of him that he gets so much hate), but I feel like this argument that 'he will be the best player so it doesn't matter' is a reaction in itself.
