Wow the Detroit People Mover sounds just the same as our Scarborough Rapid Transit skytrains, which just retired from service and the line is being ripped up and has been replaced by buses to make way for a line 2 subway extension
The door chimes of the people mover train are the same as our old RT train chimes and have the same notes as some of the old closure chimes of our retired Hawker series subway cars
1:50 this scene reminds me of Westbound trains departing for Waterfront at Burrard station in Vancouver, just disappearing into the curved tunnels. The audible chime before the male speaker announces the next station is based off the Skytrain chimes for “The Next Station Is…” within the 1985-2010 period. Reminds me of how questionable the ICTS Mark 1’s success is.

Nice, last time I visited Detroit was in August 2018

I’m a metro Detroiter and I approve of this video.

The Q-line began in 2017, but unfortunately has been a bit of a disappointment. Slow as molasses & ridership never has achieved expected numbers
