Also, if you hit the CLEAR button by mistake, and lose all your stack contents, you can just use the UP arrow key to get them back. Something I'm surprised the 89 Titanium didn't have since they both came out around the same time. This video does a very good job at getting one started.
EXCELLENT video! Seriously, very well done. No fluff or superficial content. The real value is the focus: what do you need to get up and running fast with this calculator. Good coverage of the essentials: trig, exponents/logs, and graphing. Everything else is pretty much intuitive but these are the critical functions people will need guidance with. And special thanks for demonstrating ZOOM 7 for graphing trig functions. Anyone who has to use trig functions is going to appreciate that one. Great presentation but the really superb part is the focus on the topics of substance; no wasted time. Thank you!
Actually, you don't have to use the change of base formula (although of course, it'll help if you have it memorized in your exams ;)), if you want to find log base k of x, you can do [log] [x] [,] [k] [)] (each key is enclosed in [ ]), where that [,] is the button above 7 (comma).
I noticed that your characters and digits go to the next line(8:27 in the video) instead of infinitely going all to the right. How or where in the settings do I change that?
Sir, I have a question! My school needs a ti-84 plus CE calculator, but my mom only found and bought a ti-84 plus graphing calculator. Is it still okay if I go on using this to my classes or will I be left behind if I use this calculator? Is there really such major differences between them?
That is actually not a charging port, but a port for a programming cable. A cable comes with these calculators that allows you to connect to the computer to download programs.
So when you designate a letter for a numeric value, you can only use a single letter? Can you save as a double letter? 45.135 = AA? Thank you 🤓 recently found a tossed out TI 84 Plus. Had to clean some corrosion on the battery spring contacts, installed fresh AAA batteries, & seems to work fine!
My hero! Ive been reading physics and have used an app so i wouldn't have to buy a graphing calculator. Final exam is one week away and they don't let you borrow one either so I had to panic buy one. But now i have no clue how to use it since its completely different in how you have to arrange your equations and settings, this will save my ass! Thank you! Btw... Is there a way to store entire equations so you just have to put in the necessary numbers? Example: F = k × (x_1 * ×_2)/r^2 Have that equation stored so i can just change the "x" to the numbers i need? That would be awesome! I got the "ti 84 plus silver edition"
You can only input and evaluate functions by plugging in the right side of the formula to the y= button. Then, use the table button to input values and see the outputs.
Could you help me? I was following your video and when you were demonstrating the graphing, my graph came out looking very different than yours when you entered x3-4x2. But the my GRAPH screen looks like a play button before the Y
Press [alpha] then [y=] and you get a minimenu, use the top choice to input a simple fraction and then you can do fraction sums and the answer will be given as a fraction.

Can this calculator convert decimals into a fraction that has square roots in the answer? For instance 1.166190379 is equal to square root 34 / 5, but with that answer show up in the calculator in that format?
Go to the window button and adjust the xmin, xmax, ymin, and ymax so that the min values are less than the max values. Alternatively, press the zoom button and the 6 to reset the graph window to its default settings.
Almost forgot to mention: You may have also received a smaller cable (without the usb3 plug). That cable can be used to transfer programs/games from another ti-84 calculator (from a friend or teacher, etc)
Sir , when ever I tried following your tutorials on solving graphs on TI 84 plus ,as soon as I pressed the window's button trying to insert the scales its shows me ERR: SYNTAX 1:QUIT 2:GOTO Pls sir help me
After you put your scales in or as soon as you press the window button? Make sure you use the negative sign (-) not the minus sign - for negative numbers.
Click the “Alpha” button, then on the top row you should see F1. If you click that it will take you to a list and for a basic fraction just click enter on “n/d”
Thank you so much! My teachers never taught us how to use calculators and the ACT is coming up!
I’m kind of a fan of that test over the SAT, good luck!
I fine that hard to believe
@@TutorTerrific Does this caculator model only have 8 options for apps? The new version have 9 but mine only has 8

Thank you! Your tips worked. It took me a bit to take the calculator's screws out but you saved me some money.
Nice, always looking for ways to help people save money.
This is pretty usefull. Had this in highschool 10 years ago and now needed my ti84 again thanks for the quick intro
You are welcome.
thank you so much I learned a lot from this tutorial for my pre-cal class

Non trad student, what does that mean?

thank you this was REALLY helpful😁👍
Hello, after pressing y=, how can i make an fraction ti-84
Like this: (numerator)/(denominator) place what the numerator and denominator are inside parentheses.
I'm doing this right before my final lmaooo thanks for the tutorial! :)

I doubt you still need the answer, but you can do this by selecting MODE, pressing the up arrow, and changing from MATHPRINT to CLASSIC.

Yeah you should be fine, it’s the same calculator pretty much
You should be okay because it’s the same just in color.
it’s the same thing just the ce has color im pretty sure

why doesn't the comma button work when using the ti-84 plus ce if you need L1, and L2 calculated together for the expected value

It was indeed very nice how that was set up, but I have to be honest: I borrowed that calculator to make that video, and I no longer have it.

Unfortunately, I don’t think so. I know that the TI 30XS multiview can do that, But it is much newer than this.

You have to press 2nd+Enter to see past expressions one by one
Does it charge? I got it with a usb but I see no battery signal or no signs of life of battery when I connect it to my pc.
