I agree with the coil head statement. Alone, or in a group of several coil heads, they are not a threat. Combine them with ANY other enemy, even a slime, and your life is pretty much over.
They should probably be at S+ for that. Forget there being other monsters, even a landmine behind you, a turret, a hole, literally anything could very easily kill you if your attention is on a coil head. And using strats like locking a coil head behind a blast door is way too tedious and time consumimg, considering there often tends to be about 2 to 3 coilheads
That a bug dont worry its suposed to gain speed trying to look for somemone but it bug out and just keep forever that speed until action that reset is speed are done
4:49 the danger of brackens isn't the bracken itself, but how well it pairs with other enemies. Particularly coilheads and the ghost girl. Coilheads because you cant look behind you and ghost girl because the Bracken makes you dart your camera around, increasing likelyhood of a haunting
Less so dart around and more so forces you to look behind you. The only way ghost girl can actually kill you is if you look behind yourself. She only spawns behind you and bracken forces you to look back
4:24 Brackens are especially dangerous when you play on Titan or Rend. This is because the map has the highest likelihood of the ghost girl haunting someone, and she only haunts players when their sanity level hits a certain threshold. The game has a few mechanics for calculating sanity changes, including checking behind yourself frequently. Every time you look behind yourself, your sanity drops from paranoia, and increases the ghost girl’s chance to haunt. If you check for the Bracken too much, you’ll be more likely to be haunted. Edit: Yes, the ghost girl does spawn like every other mob and haunts someone regardless of sanity at the start of the game, but she has a much higher likelihood to haunt a player with lower sanity. If the player she haunts dies then she will choose a new player to haunt, and her first choice will always be to haunt the player with the highest paranoia. Also, another factor I forgot to mention about the sanity dropping is scanning frequently. If a player scans a lot before they go into the facility, they are the most likely player to be haunted at the start because when you scan, it drops your sanity partially.
I'd say they're pretty good to have on Rend just because they take up a huge amount of monster spawns, and the turret/mine count there is extremely low. Ghost Girl will spawn anyway. The sanity check just determines who's going to be targeted, but her appearing to at least someone is inevitable. Usually when someone's haunted in our team, that person's gonna go back to the ship.
Brackens are a threat for the same reason coilheads are; they aren’t a particularly gigantic threat on their own, but they become a much bigger threat when coilheads or ghost girls are in play. Also the buggy nature of how enemies detect if you’re looking at them (similar to how coilheads will sometimes move while being observed) can lead to some unfair deaths.
coilheads cannot move while being observed. However, if your view of them is obstructed by even the smallest thing they will start sprinting at you until there is 0 obstruction.
i prefer a bracken over a coil head tbh i had both when i was alone with lots of junk deep in the facility and the coil head makes you almost unable to find back while the bracken just snatches you if you don't notice it in time
I do love the little detail where if you move whilst the nutcracker is searching and already looked where you were then does a double take but you've moved from your spot, it will adjust so its looking dead at you, stop and narrow its eye like, "Did that orange thing move or am I seeing things again?" before moving on with its life. Also if another crew has Aggroed it (It's battle music plays) Then just start running because in fairness, we all look the same!
@@trev1037 Think of it as a clock. You're sitting at 9:00, and the Nutcracker is looking at you. It then turns its head to 12:00. You move to 6:00, but if the Nutcracker checks the clock again and sees you at 6:00 (even though it remembered you being at 9:00), it'll be confused. Point is, if it isn't looking in your general direction, you can move.
I really hope we get an enemy in Lethal Company that is attracted to light. While there are quite a lot of enemies that rely on vision (with many of them exclusively using their ability to see as a means of spotting players), most of them seem to have night-vision and especially track motion. I think the concept of a light-based enemy could work both inside and outside the facility (outside less so, or at least during the day.) There are plenty of items that provide light (both flashlights, the lamp and the apparatus), and there are light/power switches inside both the ship and facilities as well which allow you to darken the scenery. Perhaps an enemy with this mechanic could have limited hearing and vision capabilities that limit them to only spotting you at short range, but are attracted to light and can spot creatures in the light much easier? It would create a threat that forces players to push themselves outside their comfort zone to avoid detection, and could make carrying off certain chunks of loot much more complicated than before.
@@titanfaust7856 Glad other people think it would be cool as well! My own idea would probably be more of a creature in the same vein as the dogs, thumpers and bugs. Perhaps a creature with a fishy look to it? The thumpers are close to sharks, but something with a scaly look would be interesting.
How could you counter this enemy? If you have an apparitus you cannot switch it out or turn off the light, thats like instant death but it just depends on how it works i guess, good idea! ❤
@@splixx3827 My idea was that the monster would have a great deal of reach, but a slow movement speed to compensate. Additionally, it would passively make noise as it moves around (possibly foot steps or heavy, raspy breathing) that could alert a nearby player. If you hear the monster coming (or if it has spotted you from far away), the counterplay would be to drop or turn off all light-emitting items you have and run to the nearest dark hiding-space, preferably around a corner. The monster would be able to see light from afar, but its limited dark vision and weak hearing means it would struggle to chase you in the shadows. The situation where the enemy would be most dangerous is if it appears in a room with lots of turns and no shadows to hide, making it almost like the opposite of a thumper. Having a long reach also means you can't get on a high place for safety either. You must either run away (it would be fast enough to catch slower targets, but can be outran if you are significantly weighed down), or risk going into the darkness.
What makes brackens so dangerous is that they combo VERY well with EVERY enemy. If we were to compare a combo of a thumper and a snare flea, thats no problem, take a shovel kill the thumper and deal with the snare flea. However lets say there's a bracken and a coil head, Your absolutely screwed, your only option is to quickly backtrack before the bracken can sneak up on you while your looking at the coilhead. This can be said for any enemy, Bracken + slime, Bracken + thumper, Bracken + ghost girl. He is the perfect entity to combo with.
That’s how I think about the coilhead. Running backwards to survive the coilhead, meanwhile another entity (thumper!) charges at you might be a death sentence if you’re too far in the facility.
Yes! Brackens are not a major threat on their own, especially if you're a mindful player. They might occasionally get the oblivious teammate, but they are not as terrible as one would make them out to be. However, that completely changes when you throw other monsters into the mix. Snare Flea? Dead. Coil Head? Super dead. Spider? Also dead. Bracken isn't the most dangerous when you're just out and about. The Bracken is the most dangerous when your attention is divided.
Forest Giants are very deadly, but some people found out that if you activate a stun grenade while the Giant has you picked up in the animation, it can stun it and you will have time to escape sometimes. Thing is you have to carry Stun nades the whole day.
@avengedprophet1559 It also only works a maximum of three times. If your group is being chased from from facility entrance, the Giants are fast enough where, even with plenty of stuns, only one or two of you are making it back at most.
Yeah I think the last list failed to account for 1, shovels, and 2 how much they disrupt your profit factor. Forest Keepers 100% are the deadliest enemy because they have such few counters and they eat all your loot. I think the main threat for jesters is they limit your time in the facility. And coilhead are problems because they limit your mobility and fov. On top of the fact that there tend to be 2-3 coilheads at a time.
no still list suck because s+=coilhead, turret, the shotgun puppet bro dodging giant easy they are blind putting s+ tier :D they cant hear s=ghost kid, mine, blind dog, earth worm others they are not even dangerous you can kill easily spider and idk the name look like a shark 2 hand
Bracken is such a wild card. On one hand the insta kill and the amount of hits it takes to kill makes him extremely dangerous. On the other hand, it's very easy to counter by just avoiding him and looking at him. The problem is that most other monsters make him OP. Another one is Coil-head which is more or less a support monster. Imo he is way too fast. You can't turn your back often enough, which risks you bumping into a landmine, a bracken, a snare flee or any other unwanted situation. I guess it's nice that you can just lock them in a room and that only one person at a time has to look at coil-head but he's just so frustrating...
I will say you can carry a radar booster, have a guy flash it frequently and be completely immune to forest giants since their stun duration is like 6 seconds.
that is an extremely impractical strategy unless you are using macros/mods to assist. you pretty much have to predict as you can't hold a radar booster and a walkie talkie at the same time. not to mention the inventory slot they take up. I think if you put the radar booster at the entrance to the ship it can be helpful but that is all hearsay since I don't actually use that strat
@@keeb__can't guy at ship just spam radar booster activation whenever they see that their teamate is near a big red dot on monitor? Like no walkie talkie even needed, just use logic.
@@keeb__ You type "Flash betty" ctrl c . Then ctrl v enter. You don't need a macro and if im correct they still get stunned even if they're not eating so it should be fine just spamming it
For the ghost girl, my group has a rule that the haunted person stays on the ship and monitors the rest of the crew. Its pretty easy to not look of her when you’re just staring at monitors.
i think what they are saying it when you look at monitors your less likely to look back at the ghost girl and if you dont die it benefits your team by them being safe from the ghost girl@@jordancallahan5893
@@jordancallahan5893 Ghost Girl wont initiate hunts if you're not looking at her general direction which is the ship doorway, meaning the haunted player will remain safe until they need to close the door behind players or before dogs enter the ship.
One month late but you can put up the cupboards to block the entrance, while providing just enough room to enter/exit the ship. The girl spawns behind the player but at a distance. A haunted player can avoid the girl as long as eye contact isn’t made.
This list is MUCH better and even this video overall is much more well-made than your last one, thank you. This one pretty much matches the list i have in my head so i'm glad you took comment feedback and rethought it lol. gj
@@Techmoblad same, tho if you have whopee cushion scrap items in the ship then dogs are instantly S+ since if they get in the ship they will never leave
Fun Fact: Baboon hawks running away from you actually have nothing to do with you raising your voice at them, There is nothing about your voice in the baboon hawk's code. The only thing that makes the run away from you is eye contact. They are like brackens, if you look at them for too long they start chasing you, but the time you can look at them, compared to a bracken is significantly longer.
This list is so much better than the old list, gotta say, though I would rank mines just a bit higher cause I find it easy to walk into one when you are trying to get away from another enemy. One thing I think is important to mention is that this list is likely based on how many players are in the lobby. In unmodded lobbies you'll likely have 4 players but once you start modding and getting more players the list starts to shift a bit. For example, Spiders, Fleas, and Coil Heads are easier to deal with in groups which makes them go lower on the list, either because more people have shovels or can just look at the enemies, however enemies like the Dogs, Masked, and Jesters become harder to deal with, since groups dont shut up or the idea that its harder to keep track of whos in and out of the facility. This doesnt matter to the list but I just think it should be mentioned because its interesting.
Its so much more closer to your opinion that the old list. I feel like he just got pressured to change what he thinks because people disagreed. I disagree with this list a lot but it does not make it wrong.
Definitely a massive improvement on the last list! The only thing I'd take into account is that with their bugs right now, thumpers and occasionally spiders can just... become invincible at random, seemingly after hitting a player while being hit themselves but that's only speculation. With that bug Thumpers easily jump up to S or even S+ tier, with spiders being around A due to their slow speed and general ease of avoiding them if you know where their webs are.
It's a hit box issue, they changed them to fix the rail cheese but it became hard to use the shovel. They made the shovel have slightly more reach to compensate. Aim downish at the spiders eyes, and down at the thumpers head
I respect you for taking on the advice everyone gave in the last video, and its great to see how youve tried out the advice and have made another video detailing at why you made those changes. I honestly think that this list is great! Doesnt seem like there is anything I would change, good job man!
I personally think the coil head is the most dangerous out of the 'common' enemies, since one spawning means one person is either on guard duty, or whoever it's chasing can't keep an eye out for traps or monsters, which is a death sentence.
ปีที่แล้ว +14
Coil Heads become much bigger threats when there's other enemies around, reason why I'd also put them high on the list. It's honestly stressful dealing with enemies such as Nutcrackers, the Ghost Girl, and Brackens when you constantly have to look at a Coil Head ALL WHILE running around trying to evade or fight them back (Nutcrackers), you literally be multi-tasking, and it's even more when there's multiple Coil Heads spawning.
" the only thing that saves leviathan worms from s tier is how rare they are " I DIED TO THE GODDAMN WORMS LIKE 7 TIMES IN MY FIRST PLAYTROUGH ONCE TO A DOG AND ONCE TO A BRACKEN WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE RARE
I think turrets probably make up the greatest cause of death in my experience, especially if they’re locking down stairs or corridors, their capacity to hide in the dark, and snipe you from down town as you’re running away from monsters, hauling loot, or exploring. They’re fast kill time is also brutal, they are more than just another thing to worry about, if you don’t focus on them, they will kill you.
I was playing with a friend and the main entrance had a turret, we barely escaped before it fired, then we found fire exit and went there, and guess it there was a turret and my friend died, that was funny as hell. Considering that before we went in the fire exit I said "Imagine if there's another turret"
The eyeless dogs are replicas of SCP-939. Both SCP-939 and the eyeless dogs share a similar appearance. SCP-939 is blind but possesses an exceptionally acute sense of hearing.
@@bargainbrandmusician thank god xD imagine being on your way back to the ship and hearing a voice behind you scream "get your ass back here , i can hear you pussy" with your dead friend's voice , terrifying
If someone is at the ship with a teleporter, the moment the giant grabs you (you can see a change in the map when that happens) they should press the button. This way you won't die and the giant won't be after you. If you can lure the giant far away from the ship then even better
I don’t know why people are so afraid of Brackens honestly. He’s genuinely my favorite to have because he’s countered relatively easily. I’ve died to him once when he just happened to walk around a corner at the same time as me, but he’s not much more dangerous than most dangerous enemies. He’s just a shy guy who gets nervous when he’s looked at and lashes when he’s looked at too long. He’s a cutie pie, and shall be referred to as such.
When alone, Bracken isn't terrifying, it's when other creatures are paired with Bracken does it get scary. I don't mean stuff that is in D, most of C, one of B, A and S, and the one in S+ tiers. One of the worst combinations you can get is Ghost Girl, Coil head and Bracken as they go with each other hand-in-hand in many different ways.
I think you should place baboon hawks to B tier. While its true that they are easily killed alone, you have a considerable chance of running into a team of baboon hawks. While they arent so scary in teams when you have a shovel, are in a team yourself, or when youre marching into the facility with the squad, teams of them are quite dangerous. Plus, if you have a team but only like 1 shovel, then your only chance to escape is either to scream into the mic at the top of your lungs, or try running to safety. And they also roam freely outside.
This is a hot take but i think the leviathans should be c tier, they are really easy to avoid. You just gotta sprint backwards because they spawn infront of you. Eyeless dogs id say are B because you can bait them and dodge and if you have a loud horn that can bring them to the front of the ship
The issue is that, a lot of times, when there’s a forest leviathan it isn’t your only threat. Most of the monsters in this game you can easily outmaneuver, even with loot, but unless you’re basically weightless then you gotta always keep in mind the chances for an earth leviathan. You could have just barely outran something else when, out of nowhere, an earth leviathan appears to swallow you whole. The worst part is that you can’t see it coming, and that it completely annihilates everything in your inventory when it gets you. I’d much rather take a couple of dogs that are easily juked than something that demands me to weigh little and always save at least half my stamina, regardless of the situation prior. It’s similar to a bracken, as just dealing with a bracken on its own is easy enough until you factor in other enemies, map layout, flanks, paranoia, and all this other stuff that can catch your attention and next thing you know your friends are wondering where you went.
I think coils should be higher. The issue with them is they act as a force multiplier for everything else around you. Everything, from mines and turrets, to drops, to slimes and brackens and thumpers, becomes exponentially worse when there's a coilhead on you. This to a lesser extent is why the bracken is so lethal, because it combos so well. The combo of a coil and a bracken is insanely lethal, and can only really be countered by having one person hold the coil with their back to a corner so the bracken can't sneak up on them and release the coilhead.
Nice list. Heres what I'd change personally: Jester goes down to A due to the Signal Translater + Teleporter combo. As soon as you know one exists (via Signal Translater), even if you're deep into the facility, you can simply hop onto a small bookshelf on mansions tilesets or the ledge at the stairways on bunker tilesets and you're immune to them and can wait for the teleport. They're quite loud so you aren't going to get stealth killed. Bracken and Nutcracker go up to S, mostly because they can kill you without you being able to do anything about it. Notably, if a Bracken has to go around a corner to get to you, you're automatically dead as it will blow right into you and ignore that you are looking at it. Bracken is also tough to deal with without proper coordination between all players as its staring threshold can be triggered even a decent while after it has been stared it. As for Nutcracker, if you are trying to stand still against it, it can run into you and kick you to death instantly. It's also the only enemy capable of killing you from afar, which can happen if you run into its scan while avoiding other hostiles. The Masked is moved up to A due to its ability to take out the ship person or camp the ship itself. While weak against shovels in the facility, it's a true menace if it catches players alone and off guard, which is easily possible as it sounds like a player.
Once when I was doing a challenge moon, I was stopped from leaving the facility because a forest keeper was outside, but inside there was 3 nutcrackers, 2 coil heads, a bracken, girl in the red dress and a mask. And yes, I died
I agree with every placement except for earth leviathan. Treat it like a surprise quicksand pit and you'll be fine! In my experience, I haven't needed to drop any items to get away from it either. It will usually alert you to its presence far before attacking too. Once you hear the growl with no particles, save stamina, then when you see the particles, full sprint and you'll make it. I'd put it just above thumper personally :)
You won't always make it. The amount of time the particles are displayed before it attacks is random, and on the lower end you don't actually have enough time to get out even with perfect reaction time.
earth leviathan is in a perfect spot imo, because its particles seem wonky as hell from my experience, sometimes i survive while on them, and other times i dont survive when i am completely off them i've also had a time where the particles appeared for like 0.5 seconds and it mauled me before i could even react
Yeah, no. I keep thinking I've got the earth leviathans nailed down, but even if I drop all my loot and run when the particles start, there's about a 50/50 chance to die or survive and no way to influence that chance, you just pray to RNGesus you make it.
Very good one bro! In the last video I was one of the persons that commented ghost girl should be S+, but you even kinda made me change opinion. I'm glad that you decicded to rework the tier based on the feedback that you recieved, and also the faxct that you made the video a lot more better edited. You got my respect
This list is a big improvement over the last one. I think I'd have leviathans a bit lower, considering there aren't typically a whole lot of them spawned at once and that their attacks are fairly easy to avoid when you're not carrying a lot of weight. I also think that hoarding bugs should be lower than slimes. Other than that, good list.
Thats the thing tho if you do have alot of items its pretty much over plus normally theres a dog near you so if you sprint or drop items to get away from it your pretty much done
see I would agree with moving the earth leviathan down but I've seen and experienced several moments where the worm instantly attacks with like 0.2 seconds warning beforehand. This doesn't happen often but if there was a monster that just guaranteed a kill randomly with a 1% chance I'd still put it in S tier if it was uncounterable.
I played with my friend and it was a really good seed with 3 loot rooms and a laser right next to the entrance. But then, I kid you not TWO forest giants spawned and killed us both. We tried to run but gawd damn they both camped our ships.
I think masks should be A tier, because there have been times where we all spawned in less than a minute on titan (heading inside still) we get grabbed by a mask. Since masks if you talk over their footsteps can get the grab on you and also seeing how fast they can be while trying to figure out friend or foe are deadly. Althought this mainly applies outside of titan and not inside
I think Coil-Heads are a lot more dangerous then people think. I might just be bad but trying to loot with a coilhead in the facility is so painful that its really just not worth trying, especially when they are combo'd with literally any other entity. As soon as I see a coil head I just find myself slowly backing my way out of the facility and calling it a day. Every counter a coilhead has is extremely map dependent. and situational. I'd actually put them between ghost girl and earth leviathan. this is all just my opinion though.
I watched your previous tier list and was shocked in some of the rankings. Just goes to show how different one player's experience can be compared to others in this game.
One thing i think you got wrong was the earth leviathan. i think it should be in a tier because they will try to predict where you're going, so when you hear their growl, you can just wait for the ground to start rumbling, and just turn around and run. The thing that makes them dangerous though is when they are paired with something like eyeless dogs
this strategy is widely accepted by the community. its also dead wrong. worms don't emerge ahead of you. when they emerge, they do so from their current position, which is most often trailing behind the player. moving backwards to avoid the hitbox will move you into it, not out of it. its not only a bad idea, but it will get you killed unless you are incredibly lucky. doing the exact opposite of what you said (sprinting forwards) is the best way to live. in fact, it's pretty consistent. source: hours of testing & data mining with other experienced players
@@pastehead1322Finally someone spoke up about this. 4 out of 5 times I tried to go to the sides or backwards to "dodge" the worm only got me killed (one time I simply got lucky). Going "F this" and just running in straight line always saved me, you'll die only if you're carrying heavy stuff and are too slow with it or you're just out of stamina. So, if you know or have a suspicion that a worm might've spawned, save your stamina and be ready to drop heavy junk. Bottom line is, Sigurd is a stupid dick lol. In many bestiary entries his info is either not entirely correct or even useful, and in this case - dead wrong (at least he tells you that standing still is pointless, so thanks for that I guess). He also gave giants a 50% danger level lmao. Oh well, what did I expect, he was the monitor guy for probably 90% of his entire employment, of course he doesn't properly know what it's like in the fields
@@velocilevon my friend also pointed this out to me, and they had a very interesting theory. due to their slow roaming speed, hearing an earthworms presence when you're walking means you've probably walked into a leviathan's path. in this case, its not a terrible idea to reverse and hightail it out of there. that may allow you to gain enough distance for it to lose interest. this has the major drawback of not getting rid of the earthworm, but it does get rid of the risk. as @wimbledofy said, even juking the worm has the risk of it attacking before you can react. in a game of risk management where a million things have a chance of killing you, an optional safer strategy is definitely worth noting. that said, Sigurd will not be forgiven for single-handedly feeding an entire generation of worms.
Mask are quite underated they can team wipe pretty easely near the end of the run especially on rend or dien where your can't see crap. Slime spawncamping is S+ but pretty much harmless otherwise. Thumper is currently glitch Right now making it S+ since it looses NO SPEED when hitting a wall. Braken is THE ULTIMATE team whiper and can kill you for some reason even if stunned. Jester is easely S+ because it forces you to leave and waste time, blocks doorways and if you weren't close enough to hear the music box you just die. Coil-Head are awful they force a team memeber to waste their time looking at them, their spawn weight is 1 meaning that there can be 5 of them, they are quite noiseless and ABSURDLY FAST ! Ghost girl is S+ it's the worst thing ever pretty much a force kill and can get out just like the masks (EVEN IF YOU DO NOT LOOK AT HER !!!). Forest giant should be lower you can outrun them for quite a while and can be stunned, as well as if you have a camera person they can to you although their sight is BULLCRAP they see you theu trees rocks and even thick fog ! (And you forgot there are stun grenades wich are used alot in late runs)
I think that the ghost girl should be in A or even B tier, as it's basically a jester that only targets one person, and can be easily countered if said person becomes the chair man and guides the team
This tier list is much, much better. And you can already easily see it from the outside... in the last tierlist every tier had an even distribution (which already is uncommon) but then the top tier just included twice as many mobs. This time the tier list looks like a tier list.
the thing with bracken is that everytime you look around fast enough your "paranoid" meter goes up and if it goes high enough the ghost girl can target you
The Earth Leviathan actually is kinda stupid, it will try to aim where you will be, so if you hear its noise and immediately does a 180 and run backwards you will dodge it even if you’re holding items
I would change Jester and Giant positions. Giants can be stunned by flashlights, and you can also teleport you team mate before getting eated. Giants also tend to stay nearby the area that an last player has been seen by him. So here's the strat: if a Giant is near your ship, one player can bait him and lead the Giant to a distant area, and another player can teleport him before it gets eaten. This way the Giant will likely stay in that area, distant from the ship. Jester is the strongest enemy in the game and i don't think that will change so easily. Lethal Company is all about time, Jester is a immortal enemy that constantly will make all your crew escape from the facility. You can't explore deeper and gatter more itens if he encounters someone, this makes the crew waste a lot of time after every cycle. Compared to the Giant, Jester makes the crew waste much more loot, less money means that you can't survive longer as the quota raises.
That giant trick is assuming you have a teleporter (which is quite common so I won’t argue that) but keep in mind that the giant trick will also make you drop all your loot in order to outrun the giant. Having to lose hundreds of dollars just to survive an outside entity is not fair.
I know this was created before the newer update, but i think old bird should be lethal tier along with the forest giant. Curious where you would put the butler and those spiked metal plates that slam down.
Quick note: Giants can be out ran forever if you manage your sprint well enough. I recently played a round where I had 6 giants (twas a mod) after me all at once and I out ran them for the entire day allowing my teamates to evac. But it is still deserving the S+ tier since without a teleporter you are essentially sacrificing one person.
I think Brackens or Flower Men deserve S-Rank for one main reason: how well they synergize with other enemies that can make your life a living hell and get at least half the team killed. Plus, it seems Brackens are the second highest reason people die, with Forest Giants being number one and accidentally falling to their deaths being number three. Number four is either lightning strikes or coil heads. 1) When forced into a staring contest with a Coil Head or multiple ones, having to deal with bracken as well is almost instant death alone. However, even on a team, one player is likely to die, especially if a Bracken does appear behind a Coil Head, as it assures the death of at least one person and probably the entire team. 2) Brackens are more likely to cause you to be paranoid and trigger the Ghost Girl since you must constantly look to avoid Brackens. 3)Brackens can make you lose track of other enemies as they force you to look away to ensure you are not sneaking up. This can range from annoying, like losing track of the Loot Bug (Kevin_ that stole a valuable item since you had to avoid staring at Bracken too long (also makes tracking down the Loot Bug dangerous when you have to fight a Loot Bug and deal with a Bracken) to having to hide or fight a normal enemy and then dying due to Bracken sneaking up on the player. A Thumper and a Bracken can be particularly lethal in dealing with both, and a Jester and Brkacen may ensure you cannot escape in time from a Jester due to having to try to keep track of a Bracken. 4) Brackens can make you panic or miss things like turrets, mines, and gaps. Joke: Yeah, players trying to move away or run away from Brackens only to fall to their death contribute partially to the reason I feel fall deaths are number three. The reason is that Brackens forces you to look away and back up into possible danger if you cannot see what lies in the dark. Not to mention that it is difficult for people to keep track of so many different threats at once, and it can be lethal. Plus, I've seen Brackens actually kill people as they are leaving the facility and get dragged in despite technically being outside due to poor timing. In addition, not sure if it's intended or a bug, but I've seen Brackens appearing/following players outside the facility with jesters on higher difficult moons. Once they kill someone, they are back in the facility but a major threat nonetheless when dealing with any outside enemy except maybe electric bees. Though I will admit it's extremely rare and probably a bug.
For giants: you don't even really need a radar booster as long as your ship guy isn't asleep. Just teleport a crewmate when they're about to be/as soon as they get grabbed. Also works against snare fleas! You might drop all your stuff but if you're being chased by a giant you were outside anyway and can just go grab it
Very rarely do I ever find sitting at the terminal useful. You almost need all four members inside the building grabbing loot on higher quotas otherwise you just wont find enough. A terminal man can only really guide one person at a time which requires them having a walkie making the already precious inventory space problem even more apparent. For radar boosters having to sacrifice an inventory slot, and not having the ability to hold 2 handed items, having one guy not grabbing loot inside or transporting loot back to the ship out weighs the positive.
Personally, I'd put the landmines near the top of B. While they're extremely easy to avoid by themselves, they become exponentially more dangerous the more enemies there are nearby. Additionally, I'd actually move Earth Leviathans down to the top of A tier. They make grumbling sounds a few seconds before the ground begins to shake, and as long as you understand that they try to pop out where they think you're going to be, I find avoiding them to be a bit easier than you seem to have experienced. That said, I think everything else lines up quite nicely. Great tier list!
Defo a better list than the original, generally agree with it. Tbh I think slimes should be moved up based on the "compatability with other enemies" metric, I'd say they are definitely less dangerous than a snare flea but more than a hording bug, however are significantly harder to kill with a shovel - If I recall 4 hits. Coil, Bracken, Slime and Nutcracker all have strong combinations with other monsters that potentially move up their danger level - I would say this is because they force you to change how you move a decent amount in a way that isn't just run away, although the slime it can be just run away but given it's less lethal it's less neccessary to do so and more acts as a roadblock and potentially deadly for when you are running from something or walking backwards due to a coil. Worth noting the anti-bracken strategy of looking around increases your chance of being haunted, however that just means who will die first to the Ghost Girl, meaning if that person is good at terminal they can return to the ship to be terminal guy, and I think there is a place where you can access terminal whilst safe from her. Most things have some quite easy counter, I think shovels as a counter makes them less dangerous the most because you can quite easily get scrap that has the same function, and also it's fairly obvious how you can counter some things with the shovel. Whilst the giant can be countered very well with the radar booster and also the stun grenade, the former especially, this is also true of the jester and coilheads and I don't think degrades their rank. Radar booster with a good terminal guy is one of the best counter strategies at the moment, however does completely distract them during the time they are flashing unless they are using macros or like truly cracked. Stun Grenades and Zap guns are somewhat effective but more niche and less effective, the former can save you from a giant and give you time to run away but much less than a radar and less time, the latter can be used to get a bracken but requires two people is less effective than a shotgun and is also way overpriced.
Ghost girl is easy to counter. You just send person that is haunted to do ship duty. Having someone that sees map, coordinates with others, moves scrap to the ship and teleport you in emergency is a godsend.
Jesters are a huge threat... but personally, if I know a jester exists they're not to hard to deal with depending on the map. They're super easy to counter on Titan due to the fact the exits are so close to each other, you can easily bait the jester by getting it to aggro on you and then hop in between exits keeping it busy. I call it jester roulette.
The bracken is easy to deal with, so long as you're not also dealing with literally any other monster at the time The ghost girl is barely even an inconvenience as long as you are being careful not to look behind you as soon as you're aware of her haunting you. You can safely look at her twice, but after the first time you should be walking like you're hiding something behind your back, especially if you hear her whispering or breathing
bracken for me is difficult to counter because everytime i look at it it doesnt back off and run away instead it just stays there in the same area waiting to be enraged and kill me and my teammates
The only reason I dont like the Brackens and think their really dangerous is soley on the existence of the Ghost girl, Apparently if the player keeps looking behind them and constantly checking their surroundings, they'll get marked as paranoid by the game and attract the Ghost Girl
i really dont get everyone saying the bracken is dangerous, sure it might make you jump if its around a corner, but its counter is taking not even a second to look at it. even if youre running from say a thumper or spider, you should already be taking quick glances around you, so the bracken should never even be able to touch you. even with coilheads, if you get far enough from the coilhead without it moving, and quickly glance around, you have enough time to get the bracken away and freeze the coilhead.
Forest giants have stuns as a pretty huge weakness. Zapgun, stun grenades or the radar booster flash are all great ways to save teammates from being killed by one if you have them available. The radar booster is easy enough to set up outside of the ship and the terminal/ship guy can help make sure there's a larger safe zone for his team when they return by using the radar booster's flash feature.
i actually think the last tier list was more accurate because right now it feels like a tier list of easiest enemies to deal with if everyone carries a shovel.
I think theres something to be said about the Bracken's real world fear factor. Simply put, Brackens are on another level of scary that most of the other monsters dont reach. Theyre like Endermans on crack, and the intimidation factor can throw you off your game alot.
FOREST KEEPERS HAVE MANY COUNTERS! So many enemies can be countered by a radar booster (coil heads being a big one!) If you have someone back at the ship it is very very crucial to have one. Having one near the ship has saved me and my friend's life many a time, haha. i agree they're scary though!

And using strats like locking a coil head behind a blast door is way too tedious and time consumimg, considering there often tends to be about 2 to 3 coilheads
i dont even remember how often i fell of and died cuz i needed to look at coil heads XD
In fact I'd rather 5 coil heads spawn than 1 or 2, because they'll take up spawn cap while being completely immobilized by just one player

Had no idea sanity was a mechanic in the game
That's hilarious
Eh I still find them pretty easy not to die from them
Agreed
Probably why they’re in the same tier
coilheads cannot move while being observed. However, if your view of them is obstructed by even the smallest thing they will start sprinting at you until there is 0 obstruction.

Funny, somebody else mentioned it because I actually made an enemy concept entirely based on light.
Make them only appear on SS Planet and were fine.
Id argue the nutcracker also combos well with other monsters and its lethality is underrated
Bracken + Slime or Bracken + Thumper isnt really much of an issue tbh unless you agro it.
That’s how I think about the coilhead. Running backwards to survive the coilhead, meanwhile another entity (thumper!) charges at you might be a death sentence if you’re too far in the facility.
Bracken, coil head, and nutcracker all near the same time is very adrenaline inducing
Which is a big disadvantage, especially if you don’t play with 4 or 3 players.
But if you want to use stuns on giants only, what prevents you from just leaving it at entrance?
@avengedprophet1559 It also only works a maximum of three times. If your group is being chased from from facility entrance, the Giants are fast enough where, even with plenty of stuns, only one or two of you are making it back at most.
just use a radar booster. Infinite stuns. makes giant completely irrevelant.
You can be teleported out of giant's hand, but time window is very small.

I guess it's nice that you can just lock them in a room and that
only one person at a time has to look at coil-head but he's just so frustrating...
I will say you can carry a radar booster, have a guy flash it frequently and be completely immune to forest giants since their stun duration is like 6 seconds.
The problem is that 1: you need to always use up a slot on a radar booster if outside after 1pm and 2: you need to have someone in the ship flashing.
Yeah he mentioned it in the video
that is an extremely impractical strategy unless you are using macros/mods to assist. you pretty much have to predict as you can't hold a radar booster and a walkie talkie at the same time. not to mention the inventory slot they take up.

I personally think the coil head is the most dangerous out of the 'common' enemies, since one spawning means one person is either on guard duty, or whoever it's chasing can't keep an eye out for traps or monsters, which is a death sentence.

Because he fucks you up really bad when dealing with other entities
I hate them, I’m always die from them while alone.

I'm much happier with this list. Ngl I stopped watching the first one very quickly but I watched this entire thing. Thank you for the follow up!
Nice list. Heres what I'd change personally:
Jester goes down to A due to the Signal Translater + Teleporter combo.
5:01
Yep, he's dead, girl found him
Once when I was doing a challenge moon, I was stopped from leaving the facility because a forest keeper was outside, but inside there was 3 nutcrackers, 2 coil heads, a bracken, girl in the red dress and a mask.
The amount of time the particles are displayed before it attacks is random, and on the lower end you don't actually have enough time to get out even with perfect reaction time.
earth leviathan is in a perfect spot imo, because its particles seem wonky as hell from my experience, sometimes i survive while on them, and other times i dont survive when i am completely off them
i've also had a time where the particles appeared for like 0.5 seconds and it mauled me before i could even react
@@fran1sisco735 all sounds like a skill issue. i've never had issues with worms even with a full inventory and 80 lbs carry weight.
@@marioisawesome8218 yeah because they never spawn lol
see I would agree with moving the earth leviathan down but I've seen and experienced several moments where the worm instantly attacks with like 0.2 seconds warning beforehand. This doesn't happen often but if there was a monster that just guaranteed a kill randomly with a 1% chance I'd still put it in S tier if it was uncounterable.
@fran1sisco735 ive dodged every encounter after figuring out how to do so and have adapted my gameplay to always be prepared for one if it arrives.
Althought this mainly applies outside of titan and not inside
when your friends like to fuck around, the mask could be S+ tier
I think Coil-Heads are a lot more dangerous then people think. I might just be bad but trying to loot with a coilhead in the facility is so painful that its really just not worth trying, especially when they are combo'd with literally any other entity. As soon as I see a coil head I just find myself slowly backing my way out of the facility and calling it a day. Every counter a coilhead has is extremely map dependent. and situational. I'd actually put them between ghost girl and earth leviathan. this is all just my opinion though.
Now, this is a perfect list, couldn't argue much 🙌
6:02 This can be said about any enemy in the game. In isolation, most of the enemies are extremely easy to play around but they're usually not alone.
Must have been the wind
this strategy is widely accepted by the community. its also dead wrong. worms don't emerge ahead of you. when they emerge, they do so from their current position, which is most often trailing behind the player.
moving backwards to avoid the hitbox will move you into it, not out of it. its not only a bad idea, but it will get you killed unless you are incredibly lucky. doing the exact opposite of what you said (sprinting forwards) is the best way to live. in fact, it's pretty consistent.
source: hours of testing & data mining with other experienced players
@@pastehead1322 Yup, and sometimes the worm just pops out instantly so you die no matter what.
Can't she exit the bunker?
@@whopper5812 terminal manager doesn't look behind them which is what triggers her to start hunting
This tier list is much, much better. And you can already easily see it from the outside... in the last tierlist every tier had an even distribution (which already is uncommon) but then the top tier just included twice as many mobs. This time the tier list looks like a tier list.
the thing with bracken is that everytime you look around fast enough your "paranoid" meter goes up and if it goes high enough the ghost girl can target you
Well good then, you just saved your teammates from being haunted
@@exceedaccel5019 its all fun and games until you're the last one standing or playing solo, then the real shit begins xD
The ghost girl can target you anyway. It just makes it more likely she picks you over someone else, but it's still a dice roll.
Compared to the Giant, Jester makes the crew waste much more loot, less money means that you can't survive longer as the quota raises.
jester also gets fucked by radar booster flashes
That giant trick is assuming you have a teleporter (which is quite common so I won’t argue that) but keep in mind that the giant trick will also make you drop all your loot in order to outrun the giant. Having to lose hundreds of dollars just to survive an outside entity is not fair.
“Forest giants are the deadliest enemy”.
Old birds enter the chat
Hello
They weren't in the game yet
ive never played lethal company because i dont have anyone to play with but i might try it anyway
Do it. You won’t regret it.
Join random crews
then why did you watch this video, its way better going not knowing anything than knowing, i did and i regret it
wait for future updates, solo and random playing are not good for now
didnt know that was possible thanks @@jacobrutzke691
This tier list is much better, good job!
the thumpers should be higher because if you manage to outrun them they won't slow down ever again and will roam the facility at insane speeds
I believe there is no %100 true tier list. Every experience changes how hard they are. This one is a good one tho.
How did you get 8000+ quota without shovels?
I know this was created before the newer update, but i think old bird should be lethal tier along with the forest giant. Curious where you would put the butler and those spiked metal plates that slam down.
Awful tierlist. Obviously Manticoil should be in S+ tier.
SO TRUE
Quick note: Giants can be out ran forever if you manage your sprint well enough. I recently played a round where I had 6 giants (twas a mod) after me all at once and I out ran them for the entire day allowing my teamates to evac. But it is still deserving the S+ tier since without a teleporter you are essentially sacrificing one person.
And that was with a flashlight only (5 pounds)
You forgot Goku. Easily the most difficult.
When the Ultra instinct theme starts playing and you see him butt naked, slowly walking at your team...you KNOW its OVER.
I'll never forget the absolute terror in my friends eyes when he was trapped between his first Coilhead and a Nutcracker. He was horrified
Add a jester into that and you got hell
Forest giant being s+ tier vs flash bangs existing
I appreciate that you took in feedback to adjust your list with new information and strategies. I think this list is very good. Great vid!
thanks! your video is a a lot helpful when playing with my friends
Gotta love jester’s omnipotent ability to see *EVERYONE* when popped and will not stop untill everyone in the facility is dead, with its ramping speef
I love the loot bugs when their alone but when they start grouping up thats when i wish i had "it's a bug thing" from deep rock galactic
Props to you for making this video, few youtubers have the confidence to just say "I was flat out wrong" and do a video all over again just to fix it.
If only it would stay in the building

Wait...
She can go outside?!?
Ok then that rating is 100% fair.
The bracken is easy to deal with, so long as you're not also dealing with literally any other monster at the time
The ghost girl is barely even an inconvenience as long as you are being careful not to look behind you as soon as you're aware of her haunting you.

The only reason I dont like the Brackens and think their really dangerous is soley on the existence of the Ghost girl,
Apparently if the player keeps looking behind them and constantly checking their surroundings, they'll get marked as paranoid by the game and attract the Ghost Girl
You can use flash bangs to make giants drop you just throw it when they grab you and you’ll be saved
I really appreciate the CC, I was expecting to have to struggle through auto-generated captions. Good tier list too, keep it up 👍

Nice Ultimate Costum Night music. Thank you for the help with the entities btw!
i really dont get everyone saying the bracken is dangerous, sure it might make you jump if its around a corner, but its counter is taking not even a second to look at it. even if youre running from say a thumper or spider, you should already be taking quick glances around you, so the bracken should never even be able to touch you.
even with coilheads, if you get far enough from the coilhead without it moving, and quickly glance around, you have enough time to get the bracken away and freeze the coilhead.
Of course the decluttering of S+ tier is nice, but the ignoring of shovels in the last tier list was overcompensated for in this one.
1:48. I love the the bug holding the stop sign in front of his nest.
Crouch Running is a great way to not only lure dogs away by talking then running away, but also be unheard while escaping a giant
I think theres something to be said about the Bracken's real world fear factor. Simply put, Brackens are on another level of scary that most of the other monsters dont reach. Theyre like Endermans on crack, and the intimidation factor can throw you off your game alot.
This aged well for version 47
Really appreciate you using my renders for your tier list!! Happy to see them being used in an educating video!
constant checks behind you will make you "the most paranoid employee" this will then cause u to be the most likely of being haunted by the ghost girl
This seems like one of your first seriously successful videos, congrats man! Love to see it.
