Portland CT Brownstone Quarry uncovered several dino prints recently and had them displayed on site. Was the talk of the town last year. Though it was worth mentioning. Great vid! Keep'em coming!

Thank you for watching and for the information on the quarries! I will try to check out those prints in the future.

Fantastic. I was hooked on dinosaurs as a youngster when my Dad took me to the Rocky Hill site and made a plaster caste of one of the larger prints (I guess they allowed you to do that then or the form was a copy). Thanks for the wonderful video - I will visit these sites. Much better to see them in situ along with all the other features that you teach us about.

Thank you for watching! There are still 3 or 4 tracks you can cast a copy of at Dinosaur State Park. They even have a roof over the casting area for rainy days.

Thank you for watching! Many of the tracks discovered in the early 1800's in this area were thought to be from birds. Scientists a generation later found enough evidence to update that theory with the concept of dinoaurs.

Glad you enjoyed the video. All three areas I explored for this video are worth seeing. Barton Cove is just amazing scenery while Dinosaur Footprints Reservation and Powder Hill Dinosaur Park have many tracks to observe. Best wishes!

I live fairly close to here, but have never visited. I always wanted to. If you go to Forest Park in nearby Springfield there is a slab with dinosaur prints and you can easily make them out. It’s pretty cool.

Thank you for watching! I didn't know they had tracks on display in Forest Park. I will have to check them out when I am in the area. The tracks in Holyoke are right next to Route 5 down a short path and are fairly easy to discern if it's sunny or rained recently. The are harder to discern on cloudy days. The tracks in Middlefield CT are less visited but still interesting to look at.

That's really cool, you are so right so amazing they exist at all. i found the earthquake fossil really interesting, as i had seen where they found geological meteor impact evidence in South Africa recently. ...as always thanks for sharing.

Having hiked through sedimentary rocks for years I can say I never saw any fault breccia anywhere else. Thanks for watching!
