@@dbppestcontrol5670 aghhh,,right,,that'll be it. I'm looking at the pard 7 now,,, I have the cheapo fire wolf add on with the screen,,it's OK on a rest or the bipod but the screen is to close to my face when I shoulder it. Also , at close range ,10mtr or so ,it's difficult to bring both the cross hairs & target into focus together. Had 37 rats so far though so no complaints for the money. Cheers for the reply. Stay safe.
I used the Nitesite Viper for quite a while which is a similar idea to the Fire Wolf. It does the job but I found it lit up my face too much. I find the Pard NV007 (and NV008) great value for money and unlike some very expensive so called "day/night" sights, gives an excellent colour daytime image which makes zeroing in daylight so much easier.
Hi Oliver, I do use bait sometimes but on this permission, there is so much potential food about, I don't think the rats would take much notice. Here, it's more a case of being aware of where the rats are coming from and where their established runs are. I usually get up to 10 on my visits here but I think the cold snap has kept them "indoors". There will be plenty of opportunities later in the year and I'll be sure to post another video of this permission, which will no doubt feature some rabbit shooting as well.
Some big rats there,,Makes a real nice sound your rifle in this vid.
Hi Jason, yes indeed it does, that's the extra "oomph" (technical term) that the 35ft/lb gives you.
