It’s really nice to hear Brother Gabriel’s voice on this platform. I met him at one African Church when I visited Washington, DC back in the late 1980s. I haven’t been to DC since then. Bros. Gabriel is a pure, down to the earth, great man. I’ll love to meet him again when next I visit the Washington DC metropolitan. I’d missed his laughter. I met Brother Nat also. He was also introduced to me as a member of Dele Ojo group.

Good program bringing back the good old days, we are bad with documentations and archives, so a 78 years old man may remember everything vividly again. Of Jimmy Carter may be present, he was the Governor of Georgia in 1972 while Richard Nixon was the president. Kudos again.

I really enjoy your program for its accurate historical content. However I would like to say Jimmy Carter wasn't president of USA until 1976. Richard Nixon was reelected President in 1972 so Dele Ojo could not have played for Jimmy Carter that year as president. Please correct the minor error.

Very enlightening and informative interview. Late Evangelist Dele Ojo was indeed one of the greatest and innovative musicians. I think his music was a crossover between highlife and juju music. Also I believe that I K Dairo went on playing tour of UK before Dele Ojo, so also was Ayinde Bakare. KSA had introduced accompany guitars long before Festac 77. Dele Akande and Sharafa Bello played tenor and base guitars respectively in KSA's Sunny Tide in 1970 before Bob Aladeniyi played in KSA's Asiko laiye/Sheindemi in 1971.

It was Bob Ohiri who first played tenor guitar for KSA and it was Bob Aladeniyi who brought Ohiri to KSA band
