That's really smart actually. Looks to work a lot better than the Sony I have in mine right now that's twice the price. Think I'll give the missus that and get this for the Caddy instead. Nice one.

Is there a part number or anything on the exta wiring that you say is steering wheel controls. I think it's a delay timer. I'm trying to get my reverse camera to work
I don’t recall anything, i’m pretty sure it’s labelled up steering controls

Hello mate, I fit one of these in my 2015 caddy 1.6tdi but the sound only comes out of the passenger side speakers any idea why?

Hi mate, everything happens automatically and yep comes with android auto 😁
Does anyone know if this will fit my 2009 caddy? Can see there was some issues with battery leakage and not sure if I'd be effected?
Depending on the model you get, it seems some have that issue. This does not thankfully. 😎

so the radio turning on without you even putting the key in means it's probably gon drain your battery right?
We've had no issues yet, radio now turns off and on with the ignition. 💪🏼

Can I ask why didn't put fuse in the back radio as I put 15 in back my riado as didn't have ten didn't change the one in fuse box so don't worry just one back radio that okay with 15 be much appreciated for your help

Since it doesn’t have AUX I’m guessing it’s an RCD360. It’s a VW factory stereo made for Asia (China/India) and LATAM by a number of different local manufacturers (and resold online to retrofit older VWs).
Looks great. But confused about the brand. If i go on ebay and search a for a RCD 360 i get results from £80 brand new to £300. What nake is the one you fitted please? Evidently the £85 ones are useless, but how do you know a good one from a bad one🤷. Cofused.
Oh right, i’m not sure. Ours was a couple hundred. Not sure how to distinguish unfortunately 🤨

Yep everything works and you do get the option for reverse camera or proximity zone monitoring. 😁
Found out I had to buy the reverse camera deactivated version to use the parking pilot but no issues otherwise. Thanks for your help!

Did you have bother with battery being drained. I done mine but never earthed it and looked like you didn't too
I think the cheaper versions of these have issues with the battery, this one hasn’t. 😊
I read the battery drain is only on earlier mk3s

Watch it don't drain you battery I bought one and was on standby it didn't turn off with the key
Yeah heard about this and the people on the owners club recommended the one we ended up buying as it works with CANBUS. Haven’t had any issues just yet. 😁

I’ve had XTRONS units in the passed for the Focus and never gelled with it. This one is called RCD360 and all the owners recommend it. 😊

Yeah that’s definitely the plan. When the rear is all ripped out for sound deadening we will definitely do the same for the doors. Possibly a speaker upgrade while we’re in there. 🙏🏼
I noticed that it turned on without the ignition on, does this mean that it is on/running when the car is off?
I can confirm it turns off when the key is removed from the ignition. 😊
