Absolutely Awesome. Councils need to be brought to task on these matters. We all pay our taxes and have a right to know how this money is spent.
Excellent. I myself am harassing our self appointing and co-opting Parish Council green committee who would dearly like to implement green fascist ideas without proper democratic consultation. Get along to your council meetings as these very competent ladies have done to great effect.

The fact that electrical car fires cannot be put out makes them a hazardous risk wherever they go!
EV Fires can be extinguished but it is difficult and CO2 foam is required as a recent fire in Swansea Marina moored Powerboat with Lithium Batteries caught fire the FB took 40 min of spraying CO2 Foam as the batteries and GRP Topsides ignited to extinguish the fire.The Boat was a complete Writeoff.London EV Bus caught fire last Dec once the Passengers were evacuated the Driver was able to extinguish the fire before the FB arrived.
Climate Emergency Manager - what the hell does he do all day and what is the cost to council tax payers in employing him ?

Exceptional work Ladies, hopefully your efforts will inspire others to take up the fight and spread it nation wide. It`s long overdue that councils are reminded they are there to serve the public and not squander our money on their pet projects.

Yes, councils have got far too comfortable making decisions without proper public scrutiny. It's going to be a tough learning curve for them as they are brought to heel. You are doing a great job getting that process underway. It's for more of us to step up and do what is necessary if we really want a representative democracy to work for us.

If it's contempt then it's probably the officers! The councillors usually manage to disguise theirs a bit better as they are used to being out in public! ;o)

I hope that insurance companies refuse to insure home owners who own and charge bikes within their properties, or exclude any damage caused due to electric bike combustion. THAT SHOULD FOCUS MINDS ON THE SUBJECT.

"Councils Independent Person" did you know that a "Person" is a Corporation? and that we men and women are mainly classed as Lunatics? That is why even at the local elections, they label you as "living on the WARD" every area has a different Ward name, and the lunatics, us, get to choose the "councillor" to whom we think will give us the best service, but the councillors take tacit power of Attourney ! Never say that you Understand because what it really means is that you agree to stand under them! Very good informative video's thank you.

Cornwall CC just spent a huge sum on a shindig banquet at the Eden project for themselves. This was defended by the head of the council by saying most of the cost had been met by 'sponsors'. Who are these 'sponsers' that are plying our so-called elected representatives with fine dining & entertainment?
These videos are both brilliant to watch and eye opening with regards to our councils. Carinna is truely brilliant with her delivery and i have to keep reminding myself that this is real and not a comedy sketch of incompetant councils!!

Speaking as a former longstanding local government officer I know that you have got to keep up immense but rational pressure on the individual Council's officers until they give up their approach. These nerds will crack, eventually. Got to raise the profile of named nerdy officers and named obsessive Members and keep them high.

Can you not sack councillors?
I support and admire your work. But beware. The people involved really believe that they are on the side of the Angels and by questioning their fervently held beliefs you are setting yourselves up as morally reprehensible. After all, how can you NOT be in favour of saving the world from destruction. I watched our elderly CBC councillor( and former mayor) well up as he described global warming as the greatest threat to his grandchildren.
A useful question to ask is them to define climate. Most people don't understand that it measured in chunks of years, usually 25, but even that definition varies.
The follow up question is to ask them to cite anybody that has been adversely affected by climate change in Colchester, or Essex, or England, in their lifetime. Spoiler alert. There is nobody. However, it is easy to cite examples of "climate emergency measures" directly adversely affecting people.

🙄 Whatever it is, he appears overpaid for his skillset... he struggled to identify what a question was. Rachel was able to help by hinting that identifying questions can be done by looking to see if the sentence has a question mark at the end 🤭

You need to handle the questions as we do in enterprise boards. You seem unwittingly to hide the questions due to all the words even with a question mark so at the end conclude with a list of the questions only repeated and numbered with date. Keep that list in a spreadsheet who owns the action and when responded. Start your next meeting highlighting those questions not yet responded and request a date don’t repeat what it’s already recoded in previous minutes. Name and shame them civil servants don’t like that 😃It has to be simple for these guys as they don’t read loads of stuff if they can help it. Hope that helps. Excellent and focused work . Well done.
