Hi. I loved this review. Just have one question, hope u can help me with. Will the under seat basket from select lux fits on the city select? Thanks in advance
Best comparison video I've seen with any of these types of videos !!! But I'm kinda upset at baby jogger cause theres no real change in the strollers 😑 I could honestly got buy the old one for cheaper
The City Select LUX stroller is the new and improved version of the classic City Select. The LUX has a 30% smaller fold and more configurations than the City Select. It also has an advanced brake, and all-wheel suspension. You'll love the luxurious fabric and color selections. With the improved feature of seats that fold in half and new accessories to keep you as functional as possible.
I think and I'm pretty sure that the new seats of Lux model is compatible with the old city select, because the frame it's pretty identical. The only difference Is that the old model don't have the foot base.
Hi Melissa, the City Select does not come with the Bench, you will have to buy that separately. I have attached a link to purchase. www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-city-select-lux.html www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-city-select-lux-bench-seat.html
I like your comparison the most so far. But I´d like to know if the footrest and back length on the lux seats are at least as long as the ones on the classic one.
Hi, I have the city select lux. Just wondering if the zippie voyage adaptive seat can be added to the frame we have or if we need to buy the whole system with a new frame? Thanks
Emma Blackley Hey! We actually don't know too much about this combination. However, it does look like Baby Jogger made a specific base for that seat. You will need to contact Baby Jogger directly for more info.
1) Can I still fold the LUX without having to remove and fold the seats first? 2) Between the two strollers, is the space between the first & second seats any different? (I hope the LUX doesn't have them closer together)
Hi Sharon, you are correct the seats on the classic City Select do you not fold. If you are packing the stroller up for a long period of time you can disconnect the footrest and fabric for more compact storage but this is not convenient to just put in your car.
Hi! Great video. I see people have asked about the lux bassinet compatibility with the original frame, but I am wondering if the reverse is true? Will the original bassinet work with the lux frame?
You remove the seats and attach the car seat in their place. Depending on which car seat and which position (either top or bottom) you may need to buy car seat adapters as well. Watch our City Select How To at 3 min, it will show how the Chicco car seat attaches. th-cam.com/video/LPmtQMy1pmw/w-d-xo.html That is just an example of one you would need with an adapter. Some adapters go across and some just click into the sides. Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi, are all the accessories from the previous City Select compatible with the Lux? Like the second seat from the old version compatible with the 2nd seat adaptor for Lux? Thanks
So we just double checked in our store, but the 2nd seat adapter won't be interchangeable between the two because of the frame and set up of the adapters themselves. Car seat adapters and upper adapters however are all able to be used on both the City Select and the Lux . The second seats are interchangeable on both as well, it's really just the second seat adapters that won't work.
Hi I just purchased the city select with the second seat. I have a click connect 35 car seat already. Is this compatible? Also what adapter do I need ??? Thanks so much.
Yes it is compatible! You can watch our video here of all the car seats compatible with the City Select and Lux. th-cam.com/video/ilcJm8UX9yI/w-d-xo.html The adapters you would need are Graco's adapters. here: www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-2016-car-seat-adapter-select-premier-graco-baby-jogger.html Let us know if you still have questions!

Great Video! I was curious if you knew how the bug/sun canopy attaches to the new lux seats? I have the city select model with all the accessories but bought the lux seats. There is a zipper on the select but not on the lux. I can swap the canopy from the stroller to be compatible but was just curious if I was missing something.
Hey Meaghan! We double checked the Baby Jogger website and it looks like while the site says it's compatible, it doesn't seem to fit very well on the Lux. Here's a link to what Baby Jogger has on their manual for it, but from our perspective, it seems to only fit on the City Select seats if you have a Select bug net. So we would recommend swapping out the canopies if you are ok with doing that! www.babyjogger.com/en-US/accessories/bug-canopy---city-select%C2%AE--city-select%C2%AE-lux-bj-bug-canopy-city-select-city-select-lux
The Baby Cubby thank you so much for researching this! For now I think I will switch canopies until I can purchase the new bug canopy. Thank you again!

Are the trays interchangeable? The lux snack trays are much smaller than the city select. It would be ideal if one could use the city select snack trays on the lux
The snack tray (that you attach in front of the child) is actually compatible on both the City Select and the LUX. The cup holder shown in this video is just compatible with the LUX. I just ordered the city select two days ago. I liked it better than the lux, after test driving them in the store. The wheels bought me immediately on the select. I’m from NYC and I travel a lot by foot. Grounds are tricky out here. Both strollers are worth every penny though I must say I would recommend both.

I'de like to buy the new citi select and use one of my old seats on, is it possible? I also add the maxi cosy adaptators for the old citi select... can I use them? Thanks
The foot rest on the Lux can adjust up and down, but it no longer adjusts in length as well. You can see that in our Baby Jogger City Select Lux How To video at 2:19 th-cam.com/video/CS1LsyBCyrw/w-d-xo.html
Argentina Alanis Villa Great question! They are both about the same in weight, the City Select frame and seat is 29.54lbs and the City Select Lux is 30.4lbs.
Yes, you will need a specific adapter for the car seat you are planning on using. Which car seat do you want to connect and we can let you know which adapters to get.
Yes. It states on our website the glider board is compatible with the City Select and Lux. However the jump seat will only be compatible with the Lux because the way the frame is. www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-glider-board.html
Hi Kathryn, yes as long as you get the correct adapters. I have linked them for you here so you can find them easily. Thanks for watching! www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-city-select-lux-and-premier-car-seat-adapter-maxi-cosi.html

hi would you recommend this pushchair for short women like me? at the moment in the UK its only available online and I need tandem pushchair asap as I have a toddler & 2 months old baby. my previous double pushchair has been returned to store as it slides to a great extent while on the bus. thank you,
We have a cubby mom here that is 5ft even and she says the City Select is comfortable for her when the handlebar is at its lowest position. She also said that it was easy to get in and out of her trunk. We think both the City Select and the Lux would be equally easy and comfortable.
I wish i saw this video before i bought the LUX. I mainly wanted the foldable seats. Customer service for baby jogger wasn't the best for information like that.
@Lady Bug I am forced to love it bc i spent all that money on it. I still love the older model bc of the gigantic basket that can extend. I don't understand why they changed it. I can't fit as much stuff under the lux. It also feels flimsy when I add the front seat to the lux. I love how easy it was to put the brake on, on the older model. The newer model I like the brake bc you can use it to decelerate which is cool but you really have to push down on the brake to lock it. The tires are nice but my front tires have been giving me problems. They make it hard to turn or I feel the stroller pulling more one way than the other. Overall to me the lux is mainly just for looks. If you want heavy duty go for the older model if you want it to look sleek go for the lux. The weight and length isn't that much of a difference when all the accessories are off. They both fit the same exact way in my 2018 tiguan. I am currently using the old model with the lux chairs bc that is what I wanted to do but baby jogger customer service told me they weren't compatible so I bought the new stroller and regret it all the time.
Lesley, Yes we do! The adapters that work for Cybex aren't labeled as Cybex adapters, they are the same as the Maxi Cosi adapters. You can find that information on the Baby Jogger website, but we do carry them at our store: You can shop them here: www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-2016-car-seat-adapter-select-premier-maxi-cosi.html Let us know if you have any other questions!
Great video! One thing you said was that the original was cushier, but I thought the lux added 4-wheel suspension and better front wheels to absorb bumps much better than the original?
While it is true that the City Select Lux has 4-wheel suspension, they replaced the tire with a full rubber tire rather than the foam filled tires that are on the regular City Select. Your bump absorption depends more on the tires rather than the suspension, so in our opinion we believe that the Select will be able to handle bumps more evenly than the Select Lux. However, the Select Lux won't do poorly on bumps either compared to other strollers on the market.
@@TheBabyCubby No I have the car seat.. City Go Snugrider 35 Elite.. I really want to buy the City Select Lux Stroller, So I was trying to figure what adapter I would buy so I can have both. The foot rest on the Lux can adjust up and down, but it no longer adjusts in length as well. You can see that in our Baby Jogger City Select Lux How To video at 2:19 th-cam.com/video/CS1LsyBCyrw/w-d-xo.html
What about weight? Is the Lux lighter?
Argentina Alanis Villa Great question! They are both about the same in weight, the City Select frame and seat is 29.54lbs and the City Select Lux is 30.4lbs.
Thanks @@TheBabyCubby
Do you need extra adapters for those infant carseats
Yes, you will need a specific adapter for the car seat you are planning on using. Which car seat do you want to connect and we can let you know which adapters to get.
Can I use a city select seat on a city select lux?
vanessa cupo Sadly no, but The city select lux seats fit on the select.
Can you use a city select second seat on a lux ?
Yes!
Great video!! Thank you 🙏🏽
Very well done video! Thank you so much
Confused about the fold, does it not stand on it's own? Really annoying to lay it down all the time
Dmytro Soroka No they do not stand on their own. :(
Great video! Thanks !!
Is it compatible with the city select glider?
Yes. It states on our website the glider board is compatible with the City Select and Lux. However the jump seat will only be compatible with the Lux because the way the frame is. www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-glider-board.html
Is joie i-gemm car seat compatible with lux?
No. Car seats that are compatible with Baby Jogger include Baby Jogger, Graco, Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, BOB, Britax, Chicco, Peg Perego, and Nuna
Am i able to use my maxi cosi micro 30 carseat?

may I ask how tall the lady on this video? I just want to see if its too tall for me cos I am only 4’11” thank you.
5'5"
hi would you recommend this pushchair for short women like me? at the moment in the UK its only available online and I need tandem pushchair asap as I have a toddler & 2 months old baby. my previous double pushchair has been returned to store as it slides to a great extent while on the bus. thank you,
We have a cubby mom here that is 5ft even and she says the City Select
is comfortable for her when the handlebar is at its lowest position. She
also said that it was easy to get in and out of her trunk. We think both
the City Select and the Lux would be equally easy and comfortable.
Do u have adapters for cybex car seat I can't find them
Lesley,
Yes we do! The adapters that work for Cybex aren't labeled as Cybex adapters, they are the same as the Maxi Cosi adapters. You can find that information on the Baby Jogger website, but we do carry them at our store: You can shop them here: www.babycubby.com/baby-jogger-2016-car-seat-adapter-select-premier-maxi-cosi.html
Let us know if you have any other questions!
Can I use a babytrend car seat with these?
Baby Jogger doesn't have an adapter for the Baby Trend car seat unfortunately :(
The Baby Cubby thanks😊
A triplet stroller?
Both the City Select and the City Select Lux are double strollers.
Really really good review for BabyJogger City Select Lux ❤️
Thank you so much!
Does anybody know if the plates she mentions at 1:34 to cover the second seat plugs are sold separately?
Hi Serena, you do not need to purchase those covers, they are included with the stroller.
yeah like what if you lose them after 2 moves? I guess they are more cosmetic?
Great video! Informative
Thank you so much for watching, we are happy to hear it was helpful!
Cuanto es el presio
Hi! The City Select Lux starts are $599 and the City Select starts at $499!
When they are facing each other does one have more leg room than the other?
When the seats are facing each other both strollers offer the same amount of leg room.
What adapter goes with this?
Melanie Eckhardt Are you looking for one for a car seat?
@@TheBabyCubby No I have the car seat.. City Go Snugrider 35 Elite.. I really want to buy the City Select Lux Stroller, So I was trying to figure what adapter I would buy so I can have both. Would a classic bassinet kit work with the Lux?
