Apparently Chichi was wheeled back to the zoo on a bicycle. 🙂 She really is like a small child who wants her freedom and independence but really just wants her mum.
The way she ran towards her carer when it's raining was adorable, like a little kid running for mommy's safety. Also thank goodness it was her carer reaching for her and got her back to safety as chimpanzee can be super nasty if provoked.

Poor creature. With extent to which we've altered this planet. Any animal that escapes to freedom will only be met with grief. As we have destroyed and utterly defaced this earth with our constructions. The earth does not see it anymore and soon this will be our fate as well. The earth will reclaim everything for the animals we have claimed everything from and when we're gone the animals will thrive again in freedom. We have too much.
Just remember, this animal can rip people face off with their bare hands, don't take them lightly as "hugable pet", you need to be very careful or a professional with it.

Hate to break the news to you but chimps have been doing that long before "Nope". Once they reach adolescence, 5-8 years old, they become too strong and aggressive for people.
