      Wow! That's good to know :) it's unfortunate the way it has been advertised by Suzuki India though..

      Just crossed 19k last time when I was home...I am a marine engineer, so, I am sailing a lot of time and I don't ride the bike as much as I would like to....the bike will be 4 years in December 2018...I hope to make some rides in October/November when I am home this time after sailing. How about you? What the odometer read in your case?

      @@RoamerRealmSir, my bike has completed 29870kms. It is 6 yrs old.
      Even I wasn't using it much till December 2016 because I used to use company transport for commuting, and very little time I used to go by bike. Now in current job I have to commute myself as there is no company transport, and that is why the usage has increased.

    And yeah about the vibrations i doesnt vibrate upto 80kmph and not a lot compared to its competition, it is there but not that much, what oil do you recommend?

    • @RoamerRealm
      @RoamerRealm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I totally agree with you! It's a very stable bike and feels very planted even at higher speed. Since yours is a second hand bike, the "run in" is already completed, hence, dont use mineral oil. I would say just stick to the basics when it comes to oil. The owners manual gives a few options, chose one of the grades depending on the temperatures expected in your area of stay (cold or hot depending on mountains , altitude or direct sun). I have always gone for the standard SAE 20W-40 while living in Bangalore and it works fine. Good luck to you :)

    i just bought this a week ago for 22k with 23000kms in odo black color so far im impressed with it. its gives 51kmpl, apart from that does the riding modes really work or just a gimmick?

    • @RoamerRealm
      @RoamerRealm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Shiv! First of all, congratulations on your purchase! You won't regret it :) it's a fabulous motorbike! Next, coming to your question, personally I only use the "eco" mode for 'indication' but driving experience wise, I haven't felt any difference while on either of the 3 riding modes. Perhaps it's just a gimmick, but I prefer to be on ECO mode most of the times. Wish you safe rides :)

      Mostly i ride in between 70 to 80kmph that shift light thing is driving me crazy so kept in power mode. Thanks for the info man. Appreciate it.

      Very welcome! You can either switch to "God" mode OR put a small duct/black electrical tape on this blinking LED to stop the distraction while riding. Good luck :)

    can you send me a copy of you manual please.

    • @RoamerRealm
      @RoamerRealm  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Shiv! I am sailing right now and I don't have the manual with me...also, the internet on ship is quite weak, so, I can't look one up online for you. If it helps, then I have the same standard manual which is given to every owner upon purchase of the motorcycle. Anything specific that you are looking for? Let me know. Thanks

      oh thats ok ,about the manual i just wanted to know what are the intervals between certain parts ,oil grades and all such things.

      Well, the list us quite exhaustive but important things would be:
      1) Engine oil + oil filter change = every 3500 Kms or 6 months
      2) Chain and sprocket cleaning + lubrication = every 750-1000 Kms (earlier if you are always riding around muddy/monsoon terrain). The full set should be replaced at 16000 kms, ask the previous guy if he did this or not.
      3) battery charging - once every 6months at least
      4) air filter cleaning - every 2 months, to be changed depending on condition
      5) Spark plug - change every 8000 Kms without fail even if no problems encountered... don't push it cuz it will start affecting mileage.
      6) Front fork oil change/overhaul - 16000 Kms (ask the previous guy if he has done this already)
      7) Tyre - change based on condition, but usually renew at 20,000 Kms anyway
      These are some things that I can remember... I am guessing you would have got information about the work done history from the previous owner before taking over the bike. Ask him for the owner manual too. Let me know if any other questions.
