abookutopia I know exactly what you mean. I have collected books for almost 4 years now and I now have almost 600 books. It takes a lot of time to collect. We all started small. My first ever collection had 7 books.

delfina alvarez if you have any where you live, try looking at places like goodwill and Salvation Army. You'll be able to get books for cheap.
I am at about 30 books.
It took two years to get there.
My collection also includes 30 or 40 music CDs, so I go between collecting both music and books.
I showed the thumbnail to my boyfriend as a proof that I DON'T have too many books 😅👍👍

My 2-yr old, Agie, goes to our bookshelf after watching this with me. Here's what happened:
Agie: Red book, black book, blue book, black book, pink book, red book, red book...(after a while)..my blue book, my Lightning McQueen book, my Dory book, my Thomas book, my Elmo book, Grover, Cookie Monster.
Me: *Picking up all our books which are now on the floor*
You should really talk more about the individual books that are on your shelves! They're so many interesting books on there which I would love to hear more about.

Whenever I watch bookshelf tours I count to see many books I have in common, this one was 95.
If I ever need ideas on what books to read next, I always watch your bookshelf tours to see what catches my eye, your recommendations videos have never steered me wrong! You started my obsession with the Lux Series 😊❤️
serious question: how can you still get into books after reading so many? I've read like 400 books so far and I'm starting to feel like they're all the same. every book I pick up I feel like I've already read something similar to it before and I just get bored so easily and end up just giving up on it. I really need some help, I haven't read a book that I actually enjoyed in months! and I don't want to give up on reading books cause reading is something I enjoy very very much. if anyone has some helpful tips please let me know..... like, what should I do? should I take a break from reading? or should I explore other genres and see if I might like something? .....help!
Try to read in another language and return to English if you know any other language or switch to other genres as you said
I know I'm extremely late to this comment, and I apologize. I'd recommend maybe finding another genre that you haven't read yet? Like, lets say you have mostly contemporary/romance - go for some fantasy or sci fi! Historical fiction! Etc.
If thats not the case, maybe you're just bored of teen/young adult books. Look for some adult books that catch your interest.
Finally, if none of these help, I'd recommend thinking back to some of your favorite reads and looking for similar books to those.
Me with fantasy books! I feel like they are all the same. I'm not a fan of fantasy books, I'm more into classics and non fictions, but I used to be a fan of fantasy books back in my teenage life. Try read other genres! :)

jtlove2007 Goodreads (the app) is awesome for that! That’s where I stalk all the booktubers’ read books and see what they are reading. I also see the reviews they gave.

That's a lot of books. It's always nice to see someone else who has accumulated a ton of books. They are just too much fun not to have around. And, it gives me something to say when the nonreaders say something about my collection of 550+ books.

I am a high school food and nutrition teacher
i had owned about 300 paper back and hard cover books.
i started to run out of space so i donated about 200 books to the school library.
my kindle fire10 changed my life i don't know how i survived without it!!!

I was so surprised to see that you didn't have any books by Gayle Forman or Charlie Holmberg. I highly recommend you check them out. I enjoy their books because Forman creates beautiful romances that feel so impossible but you wish that it would be you and Holmberg is excellent with worldbuilding and creating an incredible magical world that doesn't feel like it's ever been done before. It's truly new and exciting.
