Nothing more satisfying than some spring cleaning! I've also recently gone through my shelves and dumped a lot of books that I've outgrown or that I don't feel belong on my shelves and it's the most wonderful feeling to have shelves that you're always happy to look at 😁 I hope you'll do an updated bookshelf tour soon, your shelves look great!
I LOVED THIS! I was doing the same exact thing earlier this week in my house. I was going around collecting decorative pieces that I felt no longer reflected who I was. Your space is your sanctuary.
Your bookshelves look so nice now!! I've been slowly making my way through my unread books on my bookshelves and getting rid of stuff that I don't like much, but you gave me new motivation to be more strict and get rid of every book, that I don't absolutely love. It's so refreshing to just get rid of a bunch of stuff sometimes!

Hi Chloe, I just bought the book attached that you recommended because I recently realized that I want to get my PhD in psychology and study attachment styles so I thought it would be the perfect book for me! It arrives tomorrow and I have literally never been this excited to read nonfiction!

Ok so this is an odd question but I'm curious how everyone does this: are you fearful of losing your library/ collection. Do you keep insurance on it, do you keep certain titles protected and in easy access if you need to go STAT? When I had to evacuate from the fires I couldn't find my absolute favourite/ expensive titles
Ohh no, sorry to hear. Yes, some of the books I own were my Grandmother's and have newspaper articles she added when they came out. I am extremely protective of them and have second copies of them so then I can read them without fear of them getting damaged. I have been meaning to figure out a better system but I keep them in waterproof cases with desiccant packets in the basement. We have a general insurance amount on all our items, and have been meaning to go through and update this. I definitely would be interested in what you hear back from others due to purchasing 1st edition copies lately.
You have such an eye for decor! Love it. By the way, are you no longer going to collect Knick knacks related to the books? I’ve always liked the unique things you collect but I’m also liking this new look.
oh gosh i've been hunting those uk editions of strange the dreamer and muse of nightmares forever but i can't find them for less than 200 each (which is an absolute nope lol) I totally would have bought them off depop if I'd seen that. one day i will find them!
