Wouldn't even consider a greenworks anything. Bought a trimmer from them, didn't work right, never got my money back

It looks under powered
His grass was nothing compared to my dad backyard. The grass was reaching his ankles and also very wet from 4 days of being raining all day. He was able to cut half with one battery and then finish after charging the battery one more time and then he charged the battery one more time to cut the grass 4 more times. The mower he was using was gen 1 greenworks selft propelled 80v and he really likes the machine and my mom also because it didn't make as much noise as a regular mower. i bought this mower for 350 just one week ago brand new. Walmart have this model for sale a 398 and because I work there I bought for 370 after tax.🧐
Lesson to be learned. That much amount of thick grass going in dat low not good. Even with gas. Cut high first, work it down, to much strain on motors and batteries drain faster as turbo kits in. Great mower, just better if grass ain't as thick and tall. Keep blades razor sharp is another key. I have same mower, works great. I'm just not putting it under so much stress. That's the case, stick to gas,

I have this mower and love it. But, when grass is that high you need to do the first cut at like a 6 and work your way down to the 4. Looking at the size of the backyard should take no more than 15 or 20 mins. As for customer service, forget calling, next time try contacting them on their Facebook page as calling is a waste of time and through Facebook will be a few minutes or least it was for me when I needed to get in touch with them.

I think everyone knows, not to cut grass when it's wet! It would clog up just about "any" mower.
Very true, but still impressed what it was able to tolerate with tall wet grass.
Good review. I'm considering this mower...but my garden is mostly damp and loads of moss...loads of shade in the garden, so rarely dry...but I keep it short...at most be only 4inch high. So not sure...🤔🤔🤔
Next week when it’s do for a cut I can mow in the morning when it’s wet and let you know how it does. Especially now that’s it’s cooler it should be pretty wet.

I bought this mower a couple weeks ago and have used it twice and I can say that it lacks power of a gas mower hands down. The side discharge is almost non existent after removing the mulching attachment and putting the side discharge chute on it leaves clumps of grass instead of discharging from the side because there is not enough power (with full battery charge) to blow the grass out from the mower. Same thing when using the bag it cant throw the grass into the bag not enough power. the blade seem to run slowly and i have to go back over spots of grass several times. It will eventually get the job done however, the mower IS TERRIBLY UNDER POWERED
now that I do not let my grass grow that long and no longer cut it wet. the mower seems to do much better. still never as good as a gas mower but since i mow when my kids are sleeping so i needed a quiet mower over power.
I’m gonna call you out on this one and say you’re just a hater. I’ve had this mower for 3 seasons now and it bags better than any other mower I’ve ever used! And the side discharge works amazingly well. The power is amazing for a cordless mower. Sorry but I call people out when I know they’re lying
The reason the mower stop ur bag is full. Next time empty and start plus u are cutting it too low try 6
I moved it to 5 and it does look much better! Thank you. I feel like with 6 grass grows to fast and I can’t cut it that often!
How's it coming along in 2022?
So far it is running perfectly. No problems at all. My new house has hills and more strenuous and the mower is taking it in stride.

@@kylebrandon2009 no this is the the rear wheel drive version. It’s a feature I didn’t know how good it was until I got it. Lol

@@kylebrandon2009 the main couple reasons I went with Greenworks is the variety of tools you can get using the same batteries, they have been making mowers for years, and offer frequent discounts. 20-25% is a big difference. Overall very satisfied with the product.
