Jagr is one of the best playmakers and passers of all time, he never seems to get enough credit for that because he had so many goals. Someone should make a top ten highlights of his assists..

Actually, since he was doing the same thing in 99-00 that he’d done in 98-99, he’d earned roughly twice as many assists as goals, if you take 72 goals X 2 you get roughly 144 assists. His projected total for the 99-00 season: 216 pts.

During the early to mid 1990's, Jagr had an unheard of mix of size, strength, and amazing dexterity... Plus he easily had one of the dirtiest mullets in NHL history which in itself is quite an amazing feat

alex ovechkin can only dream of being as good as jaromir was in the 90s, back then jagr racked up serious points in the CLUTCH AND GRAB era of the NHL which most kids dont understand. There was a long time when 68 was the best player in the world and noone could compete with him.

Imagine Jagr & Lemieux in their prime in the current NHL with zero holding, hooking, tripping, fighting, slashing, defensive play, interference, big tough player, etc. Along with all those modern superior equipments of today. They had easily killed the current NHL. None of those young played had dared to touch both ones, they're so much bigger and stronger than everyone in NHL now.

I like Dallas fans celebrating his 1000th assist and Boston fans shouting his name in his first game for the Bruins. He deserves it. Gentle man, Hockey Legend.
The NHL really screwed up with Jarda. Back in the 90s, they should've been promoting the hell out of him. He WAS the face of the NHL. No other player came close. Jarda has IT; he shines. With his personality, talent, his flair for the dramatic (no-one celebrated a goal quite like Jarda) & his looks, he would've attracted scores of new fans to the NHL. Instead, they kept promoting Gretzky when he was 15 yrs. past his prime & now they push Sid the Kid who has the charisma of an avocado.
I watched Jagr play every season in Pittsburgh. He's the 2nd best player ever for the Pens (which he admits). He's the greatest stick handler and clearly possessed the most unreal 1 on 1 player ability ever seen (witness the goal against Washington with Juneau trying to defend). True Pens fans will always love him. Some fans were disappointed he left, and some didn't attend games when he was there, but he is still one of the top 15 players in league history.
Comparing goalies and forwards is tough as it is. I'd have to go with Jagr because he delivered goods day in day out, Hasek was not as consistent in my opinion.

Just few minutes ago he said in the interview that its possible that he will change team once again after successfull season at Avangard Omsk in Russia. Plus he said that he wants to play till his 50 years. God bless the best hockey player on the world.
