    I have to say, at first I was quite dubious of Doddy being a presenter as he hasnt been a pro BUT since then I found that I love his presenting style and I think his tech knowledge and relatability as a rider is actually really valuable

      He came from pro bike journalism , writing for Factory Jackson, so he brings that professionalism, complementing the rest of the team in my opinion

      I was also a bit sceptical, not because of his background but because he seemed a bit, well, serious at times. I'd delighted to see he's turned out to be a great presenter and a real asset to GMBN.

    Awesome piece of kit. I was on the market for a full suspension and Nukeproof was at the top of my list by far. But unfortunately of all the many bike shops I visited and searched online here in Los Angeles, I could not find one that had them.

  • @jordidiego2149

    Nice bike! I have exactly the same problem, long legs and long arms, but I have even more problems I just in between sizes. L and XL I’m1,86 m high and if I look at it I need an L size but if I look to my legs size I need and XL size. Horrible to get a new bike and fit it to me. Now I’m rusing a YT jeffsy 29er L size with a 40 mm rise handlebar. I want to change stem as well but I don’t find any short stem with a few 5-10 degrees.

    • @pricey7856
      @pricey7856 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jordi Diego I have a similar issue, I’m 6ft 2 but have quite short legs(32in) and a long body, when I go for bike sizing I’m not really a large but an XL is too big for me also, I currently ride a Specialized Camber XL but it’s not really the correct fit for me, I should probably have gone for the Large and put a longer stem on there

    • @jordidiego2149
      @jordidiego2149 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pricey 78 previous to the YT I had an Stumpjumper fsr 29r in XL, with a short stem and it was great for pedaling in flat an uphill but in techinical sections, steep descends was like to drive a bus. I learned that is easier to fit a light smaller frame to a bigger one than viceversa. I had to sell it loosing a lot of money wih one year and a half because after spending a lot of money trying to fit it smaller it without success. Also depends you type of riding, as much aggresive is your riding better feels a bit smaller size, at the end we sacrifice somthing uphill or downhill.

    • @pricey7856
      @pricey7856 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jordi Diego totally agree, uphill and XC it isn’t to bad but trying to tackle tight corners is a struggle, I think I will go for a large on my next bike and try plenty of Demo days to find the right bike fit

    Just curious. Anybody know if Doddy served in the military? listening to him talk about everything on his bike, its almost like hes had a lot of experience talking about a product or piece of equipment in detail. almost like a instructor explaining firearms or artillery or something to a group of people. plus he looks clean cut and acts very professional/formal like.

    Very cool bike! I'm very happy to see the SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain on this 3.300 dollar bike. My recently ordered hardtail is 2k dollars cheaper but has it as well and I wasn't sure about it, I'm only familiar with Shimano gear. I finally decided to get that one over a full Shim. XT bike because of the 1x system, which I want to try.

    It is a weapon that's for sure! But, Soddy I expect more precision from your setup. Gap at the top of your stem face plate is not even with the bottom gap and how wonky are your brake levers? Have you had an OTB before you filmed this?
    Only messing😄, nice bike check 🤘

    • @stuart7523
      @stuart7523 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Who mentioned anything about a fashion show? Oh yeah you (point missed!)
      It's a bit of fun, Doddy is considered a mtb'er who is very precise with his bike set-up.
      He has mentioned he has a dodgy wrist in previous vids.

    Are those centreline brake rotors? I've heard a rumour that they stop the dreaded Avid turkey gobble. Given that my Avids suffer from this now and then I'd be interested to hear if anyone has found this to be true.
    Nice bike by the way Doddy, long live 29er's : )

      Strugling with the same thing. How tall are you? I'm 189cm. I think I read somewhere Doddy's 192cm or so, and him sporting a 30mm stem and the way the saddle is I'm starting to lean towards a large..

      FYI, some people like it that way, for example my back brake is slightly lower than my front brake. Not a setup mistake, it's just a preference.
      Oh and also, that might have to do with the fact that while you are going downhill your main brake is going to be the front so it would make sense to have it angled above the back brake (because of your body and wrist position), and it would be more comfortable to use. Same goes with manuals/wheelies and the back brake.
