Just started playing my first PF campaign and started watching this to increase my familiarity with the system and watching all of you is such a delight and I really enjoy your GM style!
Just reading the adventure and following along as a new potential GM for the game. If I understand the first rule correctly, RAW you technically don’t need a range attack to attack something diagonally 5 feet above you because it follows the regular diagonal rule in 3D space. So I believe you could have reached with a melee weapon in the first encounter since the roof is 10 feet high.
@@jonathanng7798 If the roof is 10ft high, then by my reading, anything above said roof is above that 10ft, and ergo, a weapon without reach would not be able to hit anything that high. But another GM might adjudicate it differently.
I should have worded that better and provided more context. The stone ceiling is 10 feet high and the thick cobwebs are located 3 feet below that. Making an effective 7 feet drop ceiling. The creatures are hiding between the ceiling and the cobwebs.
Hi ! Just discovered the channel as I was looking for Pathfinder 2e remastered actual plays, as I'm currently learning the system ! Happy to have found these videos, and happy to see "classical monster" races. I like to play those.
I love the cast and the production, I just wish you would sacrifice just a little of the flash and player boxes for a bigger view of the map. Looking forward to seeing this played out.
Hey Baka, not sure if you know this at this point, but on foundry you can right click your name at the bottom left of the screen and access the user configuration. There, you can change your selected character.
RAW, commanding a companion means "it gains 2 actions during your turn". There is nothing in the rule that says when they have to be taken in terms of action order.
It looks like this one is somewhat contested in the community. Technically RAW animal companions have the minion trait which has this in its description on page 301 of player core. “Minions are creatures that directly serve another creature. Your minion acts on your turn in combat, once per turn, when you spend an action to issue it commands.” Which is why I ruled the way I did. Things can get a little confusing when pathfinder nests rules in other rules like that so I could see how it could confuse people!
@@meyore oh interesting. That does very much change it since you have a conflicting rule. Honestly I don't know that it matters that much sonce you can order your turn to het the same benefits either wau
Our of curiosity, how did Gokel get access to a bird animal companion? I don't know of any features that give knolls or barbarians those. Have I missed something? Are you using free archetype? Or is it something you guys allowed as a houserule?
@@gustavohc18 A pet works like a worse familiar though, if I am not mistaken his bird functions like an animal companion. Pretty sure I remember it attacking at some points. Technically "COmmand and Animal" also has the Concentrate tag so technically you couldn't even command it while raging.
Hey empty! I let Gokell do a little switcheroo and let him take the beast master archetype at lvl 1 in lieu of his lvl 1 barbarian feat and then had him pick a lvl 1 barb feat at lvl 2. I didn’t figure it would mess with things too much just switching when he got them and it made more sense for his character to already have it instead of randomly finding it at level 2.
@@meyore I see. Jup, I think thats an awesome call. I want to note that technically since Command an Animal has the Concentrate tag you can't do it while raging I think, but I also think that its completely fair to house-rule that in that particular case to allow the character concept to work. The first rule in the rule-book is literally that rules can be broken if they are in the way of fun.
@@emptyptr9401 haha yeah I completely missed that until I saw your earlier comment about it and went back to double check. As you said since it makes sense for the character, I think we’ll just homerule that beast master barbarian combo adds the rage trait to command an animal to tie everything up in a neat little bow.
All the commercials. My God. Been watching for an hour and I think it's been like 10 commercial blocks. I don't begrudge anyone from making their money, but holy shit.
hey sorry about that. youtube auto populates ads. I've gone through some episodes and deleted a bunch but we have so many uploads i havent been able to do it for all :(. The weird part is it doesnt do this with every upload just random ones so I never know which ones are overloaded. Thank you for bringing this one to my attention I'll be manually deleting some ads shortly
Baka absolutely was killing it with that voice 👏
Finished MOOT so I am finally here! Excited to get caught up!
Gah definitely enjoyed my first time running pathfinder on stream! Hope I didn’t break too many rules, but if I did let me know so I can improve!

@@holyhallas Glad to hear it! Was definitely hoping this campaign could be a way to help new players ease into the game.

I'm getting ready to run this AP with my group. I did not expect the first encounter to take nearly an hour and a half! haha. This is great, guys.
Glad to see you are back doing more Pathfinder 2e.
It’s good to be back! I’ve been chomping at the bit to get this rolling for some time now, and I’m glad it finally worked out!

thanks for watching! I will keep that in mind for future layouts
I am between running this or season of ghosts for my group but Im leaning towards SoG so this will be a glimpse into a parallel universe
I’ve heard really good things about season of ghosts I hope your players enjoy it! You’ll have to let us know how it went!
A like for this comment, is a like for Birdie. ❤

@gustavohc18 I did not know that thank you! We have since fixed it a different way, but I will remember this incase I make that mistake again haha

Was actually wondering that myself... Maybe Pet general talent?

I think he should of used his hero point to reroll the die for the bear medicine check instead of just using it to stop the damage. 🙂
Ya that probably would have been smart lol oh well maybe he will next time
Swop it like it’s hawt!
Beware of da stoopid smurf gremlins
they'll getcha
