You need to be backing up a little before lifting your plow and then there won’t be any strain on your winch. It’s trying to lift the bank of snow with the plow. Great set up, I’m here looking to do the same.
I’ve been curious about a mod like this for years, but never really investigated it. Seems to work very well. Better than I even suspected it might. Hmm… just may have to do something similar. I’m a torch or cutting wheel hack, so it wouldn’t be near as pretty to start. But once welded, ground and painted I’m sure I could make it look respectable. Thanks for the video, great job!

I have a few minor mods I'd like to make but I've decided not to make them removable, I haven't had the need to take the off and it's so much more efficient as a scoop, it's cut my time to clean the driveway in half and on top of the I put all the snow exactly where I want it not just off to the side causing bigger banks and worse drifts.
