A summer home? Am I missing something? If it relies on pressure differential who is going to flush the toilet or open a faucet to cause a pressure differential in the pipe in a summer home?
Sometimes the P trap in my home seems to allow sewer smells to come through. It is not because of drying out but perhaps due to: wind conditions? blocked drains? some other reason?
Might be your sewer vent, if vent stack is blocked and no air can get inside, the pressure from flushing the toilet will often suck all of the water out of the P-trap.
Is it actually a p-trap or, instead, an s-trap? If it is an s-trap, the water can be siphoned out when other fixtures like toilets are flushed or a shower is run or the other sink is used.
What is the max distance from Sioux trap primer to servicing p-trap.. It mentions that if it's too far upstream that it may not accurately detect drop in static pressure. I plan to install approx 20-30 feet from the p-trap.
Could these be rolled out in a residential tower to help tackle a systemic drain odour issue in the tower? I'm living in a tower that has quite a lot of vacant apartments and drain odour is a big problem in most occupied apartments. Hoping this primer might be that answer. Wondering if it could be installed in an individual apartment to fix drain odour locally, or on every level to tackle the problem tower wide. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Hi I live in Tijuana Mexico most places apt and hotel don't have that p trap because previous renters will always steal them when they leave to resell them , what can I do or use to stop those fumes when their is no p trap

just add a bit of oil, it will prevent the water from evaporating too quickly.
Can this valve be either installed inside the wall or outside when hooking up to the cold line and also how much does it cost thx
