- In this talk, Dr. Bertain shares three key lessons from his career in problem solving, empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders to take on nuanced issues. Dr. Leonard Bertain has been delivering his unique approach to problem solving for 33 years to over 150 companies (from Fortune 100 companies to companies of less than 10 people) with over 10,000 ideas implemented. All of these ideas were implemented within 12 weeks of initiation. The ideas never had a birthday. He will discuss the 3 points of his thesis of why he has been so successful with this program over those 33 years. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
Great video! To that I would add:
1. Adopt POOGI (Process of Ongoing Improvements) from the Theory of Constraints as the management's mantra.
2. Manage everything else as Continuous Improvements/Kaizens/Social collisions (no piecework ideology).
3. Allow those with ideas to choose their mentors. (Read Lars Kolind's book "The Second Cycle")
x. Understand the concept of the Path of Least Resistance (and its dangers) from Robert Fritz, plus Structural Tension Charting.
y. Practice Open Book Management i.e. grow business acumen, new leaders, introduce GGOB (The Great Game of Business)
z. Save/Protect/Integrate your local community by understanding Mondragon Cooperative.
This talk just sharpened my reasoning skills.
👏.. captivating solutions to solve client’s problems.. ✌️👌
