I used to not really care for Slash. Until I saw a video of him chatting about skateboarding with a young kid. I am not into skateboarding but Slash was really down to Earth and a great person.

Okay not to detract from this kid's talent or the band's generosity, but this wasn't totally impromptu. I went to check out his channel. That is Jake's guitar they handed him. STILL one hell of a performance, kid's good, and I still think Slash would be impressed.

These so called STARS of today's music should sit up and take notice...THAT is how it is done.....Showed this to my six year old grandson and he became SO inspired. I've been looking for a new home for my 1959 Gibson hollow body magic guitar. Some instruments are imbued with seemingly magical qualities and this old guitar is one of them. The neck was supposedly broken in a bar fight on around 1960 in Memphis. Some craftsman, on a budget, grafted the neck off of a Gibson SOLID body guitar on to this guitar. Not necessarily pretty but has held for over 60? years. I've protected some of the most famous and talented musicians and several played the guitar and all wanted to buy it but wasn't for sale. I've had it since 1972. I cannot do it justice.
My time is winding down at 70 and 6 time cancer survivor but trauma and 36 surgeries have been tougher on me. Much of it to my wrist and fingers. So unless already has his perfect guitar it's possible he might make my list of potential new owner. At no cost to his parents. Maybe.

I love when a band or an individual singer takes a chance and gives someone their "SHOT". Fantastic on both of their parts, Jake and the band are kick ass. and because of this I would bet the band just gained a ton more fans. Thank you sir for doing this for this kid, and thank you Jake for playing and kicking ass with this song. We had this song played at our sons funeral 10 years ago, Thank you Jake and band.
