@@tysonrinker8089 Yeah, the way he dissed Pierce Brosnan as James Bond was uncalled for; Brosnan was about 10 times the James Bond Daniel Craig ever will be. What was he, huffing the White Out Nikki uses on her bass neck before the interview?! 😂
One of my favrite series on TH-cam.... it is just great to see what musicians use and specially when they share it with an smile, including also who does the interview!
I was at that Muse show in 2010! Also have the same early 90s Sheraton. I bought it for my dad with my first paycheck from my first job. He recently gave it to me and I put in Antiquities as well.
That and _Tomorrow Never Dies_ are my favorite Bond movies. And Pierce Brosnan is my favorite Bond! I kinda wanna slap Brian but since he seems like a nice guy otherwise, I'll let him off the hook... this time 😂
chill level expert. there's too much junk in my brain for me to ever relax like this. on a different note - totally get the practicality of the fractal on a professional level, but part of being a creative guitarist is having a slew of nonsense at your feet...a rainbow of colors and lights that occasionally malfunction... this band is TOO CHILL AND ORGANIZED FOR ME. still enjoyed the hell out of this; thanks for keeping rig rundown alive and well.
Love the band and like them even more after this. Totally laid back and dare I say, normal people. Steve Stevens is kind of the same way, just easy going and really normal.
great job as always PG! so many bands i've never heard of before from you guys, it's awesome! i guess thats what happens when you live under a rock in the middle of nowhere WV! lol
The 2nd Phase of Epi reissues sound great because they were made in Korea by Samick probably one of the largest musical instrument manufacturers. Now they are just half assed in China but the higher end "Elites & Master" are Japan. If you look around the Samick Epi is out there used @ great $$$ savings...
If they made a sheraton, im not sure what they would make different in it compared to the regular, but I'll be open to it. What they should do is make a gibson version because they currently don't have anything similar to it, just the regular 335. Whenever I had to sell my old sheraton I went back to buy a new one and I was looking to see if gibson had something like it and they didn't
Im a coordinator at Gibson we are making alot of signatures for 2019-2020 Adam Jones and another slash model so far.....this guy just isn't very popular
@@daveywiles6412 Dude at this point nobody cares about another slash model LP. You all have things like a Clapton firebird. Cool and all but I would rather have a Clapton strat. Hate to say it but Gibson signature models lack innovation, inspiration, and diversity in their artists. Literally all classic rock guitarist that the boomer crowd are attracted to. Like all guitar players, they both just happen to keep a wrapped package of their favorite strings right on top of their amps... and they just happen to be Ernie Ball's... and the interviewer just happens to notice them.
I love this band. I had np idea about Nikki's bass picks. I got one at one of their shows. It's a funny drawing on a white pick.. and it does seem like it would slip.
Saetia I appreciate that are passionate about their gear or wine or cars or whatever. I don't like seeing great gear that never gets used but I just can't relate that people that see a connection their tools and the creative process.
as like a 13-14yr old twerp walking into Guitar Center for the last time i asked about strings, and the dude behind the counter said "Ernie Ball Beefy". he said they were great for holding tune if you de-tune (nothing too crazy tho)....so like Green Day, Weezer, i guess now Silversun Pickups as well. as KFK said ya use what you learned on. pretty rad someone other than me is using them all the time
Fucking hell, I thought this was a new pickup company. Like the Silver Zephyr from Seymour Duncan. The Silversun pickups by Brian & Nikki. Who would have thought?
My uncle played lead guitar for Patsy Cline and was a friend of John Cash's. He lost his eyesight. Living in a trailer in El Centro CA, one night his son-in-law came to visit one night and told my uncle that he was going to take his prize guitar, a 1954 Jazzmaster. He took the guitar and my blind uncle could do nothing about it. This happened about 2016.
I think this is the most disappointed I've ever been to see the Axe Effects -_- I'm not so much hating on those as just REALLY having wanted to see what pedals he uses... No me gusta... Still fun Rundown, tho. I love how proud of the giraffe Nikki is lol As she should be!
He deserves to be more famous. Silversun Pickups truly deserves that.
Brian is a cool dude. He is so funny and genuine. Love to hear him talk gear. They are great live
He is great. I met him/took a pic and he gave me a wet willy finger in the ear in the pic.... he's hilarious.
Saw them live for the first time tonight. Waited my whole life for it and it did not disappoint one of the best live bands I’ve seen
Saw them last week at The Egg! Awesome show!!
Nikki seems like one of those friends that will remember you if you were a good friend to her.
And the only friend who will rush to your side when you’re in need. We all need someone like that in our lives.
🤣🤣🤣 As opposed to friends who don't remember you if you were a good friend to them??
@Vino 😅 I’ll l
0:13 Brian
22:50 Nikki
It seems like they're so close and friendly with each other and their crew! It's such an infectious attitude, I can feel the good vibes even now!
Every video or podcast I've listened to with Brian makes me like him more. Just a super friendly, open guy.
She's the only bassist I've heard make a modern Gibson Thunderbird sound good.
refreshingly lacking any sort of ego

Brian is a sneaky good guitar player. His rhythm playing is incredible and then he solos seamlessly.

7:08-7:23 is a perfect description, that’s why I love the Firebird ❤️

Good interviewer, you let the musician actually talk and gesture, in his own way. That's important.

I love the Gibson Thunder Giraffe, very cool bass :) Great Rig Rundown as always, thanks PG!
Ah, musicians that aren't cork sniffers.
Yeah, we have some gear. I'm not sure what it is but we get paid to play a few songs and it seems to go OK.
Why, exactly, do you get so prissed up about people being specific about their gear on a gear information video?

I love RRs where the artist is the one sharing the rig.
I have one of her pics from a show in march!!! I was wondering way it was cut. And it says stuck on Doug
I have looked down on silversun pickup for all my life..but man I just like them for them as people
For a band full of tone, they've simplified and stripped everything to where their live gear is boring as hell. Should have done this 5 years prior.
