Poor Zack if there is a lesson to learn from Him ( because yes it's not a real person but you can still admire one). No matter how hard life is, stay positive enjoy every single moment, give it your best every single day. Sometimes you will feel like you could do better but that's alright. Enjoy life because when it ends you will appreciate the fact that you truly Lived.
I don't think this is a bad rearrange but I think they took the dread out of it because when this plays Zack is being hunted and as the player I felt more defeated then he did
I also must say it gives me some great Wandering under Moonlight on the prairie vibes like the title said. It remembers me of good old times when I walk in the Village of my grandparents and thought about thinks
This version feels so much more melancholic than the original. The original sounds more like coming home and/or being on the final stretch. This version just sounds like longing or homesickness, like knowing you can't be where you want to be. I genuinely prefer this one a bit more, it's a bit more nuanced, especially with the soft ebb and flow of the violins (I assume) in the background starting at 0:24. Again, it fits the situation better due to the bittersweet undertones. The original's version seems to be more from Zack's perspective (lost but hopeful) and this one is looking at it from the outside with a touch of hindsight (mournful and yearning for a happy end, but still hopeful).

This soundtrack has so many great songs to chill to
The feeling that you know what is going to happen.. but you still go on.. you still try despite no chances..
i felt this exact same way when i played the remaake... i did missions instead of finishing the game
INDOMITABLE SPIRIT - It is Zack!
After playing CCR, I totally fell in love with Zack. He is the unsung hero of FF7 universe.
You too? I'm like dying, I can't actually love him
My favorite part starts at 0:43
every time i play this game i feel like i lost more rather than won because i know how it ends
So true.. the feeling that you know what is going to happen.. but you still go on.. you still try despite no chances..
Very cool!!!!

The guitar in original is more heartbreaking
