Bruce!!! Did find that particular place he was looking for.he didn't find it until years later!!!! Once he found that place he really didn't know what The hell people called it , it was the people like you and me , The working man and!! Women!!! Who spent there hard earned money just to go see one of the greatest band's god ever created!!!..... He realized that special place that he had been looking for, for many of years had been right underneath his nose!!!!!! This place is every Town and country club and most of all every state!!!!! That each one of us can call home , this is our lucky town....... that's why when Bruce is in our home town he thinks he overstays his welcome!!!!......if you feel like me and millions of other people Bruce never overstays his welcome!!!! Your home town and mine!!!! Is his!!! ...... that!!!!! What gave Bruce so much luck!!!!
i saw the band at that time he was playing with, they were awesome. no one tried to be e street, they were new street. great tour, great band, and bruce never lost anything playing withose guys.
hi, I think that this song is about a man who is lost and not feeling happy with himself ("house's to crowded, clothes too tight") and is in the process of finding himself "there is somebody calling my secret name", "I wanna lose these blues I found". Lucky Town is, I presume, the place where he can find himself again. Probably his lucky town is New Jersey? :) Anyway, that is 100% my own interpretation... could be something else. IMO, one of the best Springsteen songs ever.
i'm from jurzy. i was born around the same time as bruce. believe me, you ain't seen nothing 'til you've seen bruce AND THE E STREET BAND live in new jurzy. a brotherhood that runs thru the entire audience.
yes i know bruce can play ive seen all the videos, i love the 78' prove it intro. i understand bruce in his younger days could rock with the best of them, but at the same time i feel nils is always been better. please dont take this the wrong way or as a knock on springsteen in any way. i am a huge springsteen fan, in fact springsteen is pritty much all i listen to. 10 shows in 09 alone. bruce is the boss for a reason
Google Bruce's induction speech at the Rock n Roll of fame. He calls Nils "The most overqualified 2nd guitar ever. He plays 1,000 times better than me but still comes over when I play a solo. Maybe he's just checking to see if I've improved..I haven't!" Read a Nils speech...he is perfectly happy with being "2nd guitar" to the boss. Certainly helped with exposure for his own albums.
What was your sampling technique? Did every fan have an equal chance of being sampled, thus, assuming your sample size was about 400, or more, that your conclusion is correct about "most fans" assessment of the 92-93 band. I don't have that kind of data either but my opinion is the band was very good. Their main flaw for most fans, I think, was that they weren't the E-Street Band.
Gotta agree with 2pacbiggie4334. I love Bruce but his style is as one person said, "he doesn't always play the right notes, but the notes he plays sound right." Nils, technically, is a far superior player than Bruce. I think Bruce's passion just shines a little brighter than Nils when they play.
Long sigh. It's not more passion. It's not a lack of passion from Nils Lofgrens side. He is just so much more skilled when it comes to guitar-play in comparison to Bruce, that it looks like it is, no, the perception might be that Nils has got less passion (or whatever you wanna call it) because Nils - relative to Bruce - plays so much more effortless, because of his much greater skill-level.
I love this song, although i preferd human touch to lucky town,i hate the band during them periods they didnt suit bruce!Shoulda stuck with the E Street!

Nils Lofgran is a real good one.
🇪🇸🇪🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Great!!!
Laser!
The band he's playing with on this video? It is the ESTREET band...Nils, Max, Stevie are all visible. (I'm sure the others are there)
Great version! Nils' solo is awesome. Is it from the Rising or from the Magic tour?
ms52od yes i think ur right.
I dont think he fired the E Street Band. Bruce was just trying something new I think.
Yeah I always thought his music in the 90's were nothing compared to the 70's, 80's, and 00's.

No kiddin'...
@2pacbiggie4334
I love hearing Bruce does his solo but he should let Steve and Nils take more turns.Nils is a certified guitar god

My favorite song on those 2 albums. He recorded it with the OTHER band though
Good gawd Nils!
So you just focused on the screen? That video on the screen was edited like a real video!
